Amazing and unique place, definitely must visit. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous. The entrance fee is 60k + parking 4k. It’s better to take raincoat or umbrella, because it’s usually raining there. There are a lot of souvenir stores there and cafes. Best time to visit is before the sunset, better to come earlier to see the place (2 hours is enough) and then meet the sunset in the cafe right on the cliff.

Good temple although a bit far from everywhere. The sunset is the best albeit very crowded. The market before the temple is interesting and presents good opportunity to buy souvenirs. Pro Tip At night there is difficulty in finding a taxi so if you plan to stay till sunset and after, do keep the cab till return as the place is quite far off

Lets start with the tickets. It is 60000 but you have to pay even for the toilets. The view is incredible. Very nice small temple on the island. But you can’t reach there. It was extremely hot so better to have a hat or umbrella with you. You will not need more than one hour there.

Great site of a historic temple. Looking into the history, a lot of the rock you see is actually fake and part of restoration that took place. Make sure to check when it is low tide if you want to venture closer to it. There’s also a lot of street vendors at the site who are more calm than those in the flea markets.

Tanah Lot temple is in a magnificent location. Surrounded by the sea and cliffs it is serene and worth visiting. There is a lot of walking to do in case you want to climb down near the temple area. The reason why I reduced one star is that the main temple was inaccessible to tourists and for the high entry cost of 75K, we expected a lot more. There are no specific dress restrictions to visit this temple. Surrounding the temple there are several shops selling clothes and memorabilia at good prices.

We visited during the noon , this place has a lot of spot to see . The best ones is part of temple which built in the other small island , we can visited during sea water recedes. We can visit the holy snake to under the coral reef. This place well known as the best sunset spot too.

One of the top attractions in Bali and a must-see. It's picturesque and romantic as well. Just be mindful of the weather , and avoid coming in the wet season(Oct to April). Even if you are there, check the weather first and pick a sunny day.

Another highlight for every Bali visitor. A temple at the ocean. Only outside visit possible. You have to cross the sea for visiting. Beautiful views. Popular place. Entrance charge. Recommended.

Beautiful temple in a beautiful area. At high tide it becomes a floating temple - and at low tide you can enter it. On this occasion it was a little too high but was still a great sight to see. The great weather helps. It’s meant to be even more beautiful at sunset. Can be quite busy but in the morning was way to manoeuvre about. Highly recommend!

Tanah lot is a beautiful temple located on a rock in the sea. During low tide the priests go walking to it, but during high tide it is cut off. It is a quite a big complex and has number of points which offer breathtaking view of the temple and surrounding sea. Usually visiting here at sunset is recommended, but it look pretty on sunny mornings too.

The entrance ticket is RP 30k/person for local without vehicle. The view was amazing and peaceful. I visited it on weekends (Saturday, 3 pm) and it’s not that crowded at all. There are a lot of vendors that sell beach outfit and souvenir. You can also find some restaurants and freelance photographers inside. My favorite place to enjoy the view is on top of a rock under the cliff🥰. ⚠️PLEASE READ!!⚠️: - don’t go into places in between the rock near the beach. I saw some local photographers pee at that spot. DISGUSTING!🤢☹️ - You can’t use public transportation like Grab, Gojek, and others.. the local security will warn the driver and asked them to find another passenger… some drivers still gonna pick you up, tho, but you’ll have to walk until the local security cannot see you again👀. - there are some local drivers that are not integrated to online apps.. but I’m not sure about the price and the security - TIPS!! If you’re local and still want to use online transportation.. just say that the driver is your family or friends. Tell your driver about that too, so you don’t have to walk…😌 STILL RECOMMENDED FOR SOLO TRAVELERS! Because if I can do it alone, you can do it too!!

Very cool temple on an island. It’s a huge property. Wish we could have stayed for the sunset. There are amazing views. There are a ton of shops if you want to pick up some souvenirs. Also, there are lots of places to eat as well. Definitely worth the visit.

It's a very famous temple in Bali. People go there to see the masterpiece in the middle of the ocean and the sunset. From the gate to the temple, you need to cross the area where people sell stuff there. The area of the temple was crowded when I was there and I supposed it was like that everyday. To go to the temple, you need to wait for the tide to go down. There will be a small path from the beach straight to the temple. At the opposite side of the temple, there's a cave with the name The cave of Holly snakes. I didn't know if there were any ocean snakes there. It was a very famous area so there were many local photographers there trying to take pictures for the tourists. It was a large area there so it took a lot of time to see mostly everything. Walking to the left side, there was a very impressive view to the ocean.

A very nice and magical experience to visit this place. It seems nature and humans have worked together to bring this place to life. The parking is really big so no issue for parking scooters or cars. You can roam around and spend 2-3 hours here watching the sea, having snacks nearby and exploring the place, taking nice pics. There are some local sellers selling Bali local products. Prices are usually negotiable. Late afternoon to evening would be great to visit this place since there are nice cafes nearby too.

Nice place. Must visit if you are in Bali Beach with black sand Though this temple is in the sea but below the temple there are few doings which gives water which is not at all salty rather the water tastes much better than the mineral water available in restaurant.

This is a very beautiful place. The ideal time would be to go for the sunset. There is a beautiful temple on the seashore, where sweet fresh water is coming miraculously. There are a lot of places to eat and buy gift items. It is a very unique tourist spot.

I came here, via private driver, on a Tuesday in mid-December 2022. This is a MUST if you're ever in Bali - definitely worth the trek out here. It looks like something out of a video game. It was my first time seeing a temple on a beach like that. It's truly a unique Bali experience. Unlike other temples, you do not need to wear a sarong since you'll be walking around the temples without going inside of them. There are two temples that were built in the middle of the beach. One that's right in front of the entrance and the other further south of the beach. Make sure you bring cash to pay for your entrance ticket. Restrooms here were 3,000Rp. It cost 60,000 for each adult and 5,000 per car (but the lady at the booth didn't charge us for the car).

Worth the visit. This place is famous for its Holy Spring Water. This is a small island on the edge of the beach. This place is so calm and beautiful. Best view for Sunset. The white clouds, blue water, black sand, orange sky and the high winds… everything feels so good and soothing. I liked the black sand specifically. Its so soft amd smooth

Amazing temple. Make sure your guide tells you the story about the temple. We went at low tide. Just beautiful. Take your time and watch the sunset. Find a nice spot in the park. It is a very dramatic scenery with the ocean and waves in the background.

Nice place to be at during the sunset. The Kecak dance starts at 6:15pm. Felt a little torn as I wanted more sunset photos of the temples, and yet have to also be there on time for the Kecak dance. The fees for the dance is IDR 100k per pax. When my friend and I were there, it felt as though there weren't too many people watching it. I think most people would choose to view the sunset instead. A part of me felt sad that I missed the sunset with the temple, but a part of me also feels glad to contribute to paying for the dance. Feels like a lot of effort is put into the dance but there aren't enough spectators... Also, please note that ladies on mensus are not allowed to enter the temple.

This is a very beautiful place for sightseeing. The lot has a small temple nearby but you will have to walk through the water to access the temple. And also seems like tourists can only view the temple from outside. The beach is stunning. There are many view for picture taking but there will be many visitors also. Overall, this is a good place for travellers destination.

A beautiful temple in the sea, where people gather around sunset to watch the magnificent sun set, and listen to the music of the waves crashing on the shore. I suggest you to visit a bit early, as it gets very crowded, and the good spots get taken quickly. There is a huge like to be able to enter the temple, which I didn't do, I simply enjoyed marveling at the temple from outside. Even if it's location is a bit secluded, I can guarantee that it is totally worth the ride

Such a scenic place which you must visit. We did not want to wait to buy tickets or anything. However, it is a bit recommended to visit this place either in the morning or afternoon because it is really hot during the midday. All in all one of the most beautiful places in Bali.

A breath-taking destination. The iconic beauty of the sea temple, surrounded by mesmerizing ocean views, creates an unforgettable experience. An ancient temple with such breathtaking scenic beauty. We were not allowed to enter the precincts, but there was a holy snake and spring. Nice market on the way, but one must be careful of the seawaves as they rise as per the tides.

Tanah Lot has always been a favorite destination for local and foreign tourists while on vacation in Bali. Tanah Lot is one of the reasons to return again and again to this beautiful and beautiful island. From a distance, Tanah Lot looks like a small island floating in the sea. The uniqueness of this place is a temple that stands on a large rock as a worship of the sea god Pura Pekendungan. Many say that Tanah Lot is the best place to enjoy the sunset in Bali. If you like dusk, then you have to choose Tanah Lot as a location that you must visit while in Bali. Enjoying the evening accompanied by coconut water, favorite music, Balinese atmosphere, and the wind that blows, you will feel the serenity from fatigue, work, problems at hand, to negative thoughts. The twilight that is red, orange, yellow, and accompanied by white clouds makes the sunset in Tanah Lot very special for its connoisseurs.

Visited Tanah Lot Temple in 2018. Honestly, this is a must visit temple in Indonesia. It is a temple at the sea shore with a majestic beauty! Best time to visit this place is during sunset. Although the place is somewhat commercialized and crowded during the afternoon, I still admire the beauty of this tourist Destination. I hope everything will be back to normal so I could visit this Beautiful temple on rock again.

Beautiful place. We arrived about 2 hours before sunset. There are many stalls in your way to the time. We supported a few stalls but if you really want cheap souvenir shopping- there is a large shop on your way to the temple. Extremely reasonable prices, we have been in Bali for 2 months now and this is the cheapest place we have found for souvenirs. It was low tide so we were able to walk to the temple, take some pictures, see the snake and have a blessing done. You have to give a donation to see the snake and have the blessing, so guess its not really a donation as they keep telling you to give a donation. There are many restaurants situated at the top of the cliff. Choose a nice seat eat some dinner, have a drink and watch the sunset. I'd give 4.5 stars. Keep in mind there is also an entry fee.

I would say it's worth it to make the trip up to Tanah Lot. Beautiful architecture, nice beach breeze, and good views of the ocean and temple. I would go around sunset if I were you! I went in the heat of day and it made it hard to capture the sights on camera. I can imagine how much more aesthetic it would look around dusk.

It is extremely beautiful and attractive. A must-visit place in Bali island. It takes me half of a day enjoying the landscape here. The temple is off the land. When the tides go down, people can walk there. For some areas, people have so much fun when they go surfing. There are many trees and viewpoints.

Tanah Lot means "Land [in the] Sea" in the Balinese language. It is home to ancient hindu temple and a very popular spot. We visited this place in evening. And the view is splendid and this place is photogenic because of its sunset backdrops. Bali is known as an island of the thousand temples. Make time to explore and discover which one you want to visit.

I didn't much enjoy the place because when I came here early Feb the place is very crowded. Other thing is I didn't find worthy activities here instead of sightseeing. Maybe I came here in the afternoon when the tides is high already, so we can't cross to the sea temple. There will be lots of local people offering you to taking instant photos. I took it and paid 20k for 1 printed photo. The main destination fails me, but not the shopping area. I got lots of good clothes and outer in really worth price. Only regret why I didn't buy more cz there are long long long way to reach this place🥲 oh ya, entrance fee 20k/adult, 15k/children above 5yo, and parking 5k

Beautiful place and full of positive energy and found your spiritualism here. I went here as a part of pray tradition from my family and coincidentally, the citizen here held a ceremony annually. The place was neat, generally clean and the parking area is large enough and separated for cars, buss, and motorcycle. Keep in mind, coming here with positive mind and positive tuition and obey the law here.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful setting, especially at sunset when it’s famous to go. Plenty of space to see the view with restaurants lining the scenic point. 60k entrance fee so steep price, but worth it. Even more peaceful in the morning with the lack of tourists. There’s a lovely and sad-looking medium size white dog walking around: please help in feeding it and encouraging locals to take it the vet! It’s a bit thin. 🙁

This sprawling temple grounds is a favorite amongst locals and tourists alike, so expect it to be busy when you arrive. We had a private tour guide, which I would recommend, as he was very helpful and informative, and took lots of photos for us. The temple itself is on a small island just off the coastline, making it unique. You cannot enter most temples in Bali (this one included). You can look at the temple from multiple viewpoints and get some great photos, and at low tide you can walk along a rocky and irregular pathway to walk around the temple. (We were visiting at high tide, so the walkway was closed) There are many shops and restaurants on the temple grounds that you can explore. It is a favorite place amongst many to watch sunsets, too. There is no strict dress code or no requirement to wear any wraps or other covering apparel to enter the temple grounds here.

A must visit place in Bali!! There is the Batu Balong temple on a cliff and the Tanah lot temple on a rocky Island in the sea which is accessible during low tide. Great place to enjoy a spectacular sunset. Try to come here at least 1.5 hr before sunset so that you have ample time to walk around and take pictures in good light. Make sure to sit, relax and enjoy the wonderful place before leaving. Entry tickets cost 50000 IDR.

Beautiful temple but overly commercialized stalls ruin the attraction. Charged for entry and led to walk through a bazaar before entering the temple grounds. Saw locals visit the site through an adjacent beach - don't think they paid at all so it seems like that's a free option. The temple grounds were beautiful, especially during sunset. Ignore the guides who offer to take photos etc. Local transport mafia are also active around the location so arranging a trip back may be challenging.

Must visit place when you are in Bali looking for instagramable sunset spot and scenery. Look here and there, always find beautiful view and angle with just your phone camera. (I am using my Samsung Note 10+) Just click and you will enjoy nature poetry.

This is one of the places that you must visit in Bali. You can enjoy the view of Karang Bolong from afar, or carefully come down closer to the temple by the and take pictures. If you traveled alone, no worries, because there are some photographers that can help you get one printed photo (with Tanah Lot frame) and a whole lot more on your own cellphone, for only 20k rupiah. It can be a good way to help stabilized the tourism during this pandemic.

Tanah lot is a Shiva temple at the sea shore with scenic beauty and calmness of the nature. Interestingly there is a fresh water shower just below the temple. Must go there and taste the water. Awesome experience, beautiful place. Yes it's obviously is a tourist trap "but" if you can just go with the flow and enjoy the views and experience, then it's definitely worth it. Make sure you plan your arrival when the tide is low so you can walk across to the temple area. The best is to plan arriving just before sunset during a low tide. So plan carefully.

One of the holiest temple for Bali Hindus. Situated on the reef island which can be reached by foot from main island during low tide. The waves and current are strong. So, you have to be careful and watchful. There'll be temple officials who will help you to across the reef to the temple. And the temple, there is a sacred water spring and free blessing from the temple priest

Tanah Lot gave the natural ambience. But it was really really hot in there. You'll catch some retail for shopping all the way from the entrance gate to that Tanah Lot. What i love about this place is, despite the very hot temperature, Tanah Lot has many green-ish place to sit and relax. You can sit and have a conversation with eating some food.

  • 4/5 Neha J. 1 year ago on Google
Tanah lot is of the famous sea temples of Bali. The area is huge and the sunsets are serene!! However, remember to take a sarung (a cloth to cover your lower body) if you want to enter the temple itself. There is a whole market and food places outside the temple area! It is definitely one of the biggest tourist spots in Bali. Not a good idea if you don’t like crowded places and don’t want to see typical tourist stuff.

  • 5/5 Ben K. 1 year ago on Google
The exterior and location of the temple is beautiful, right on the sea with the sunrise and sunsets lighting it up. I can really imagine what it would have been like here worshipping before all the tourists…me included 😂. Despite the crowds (which I haven’t let affect the rating) it’s a pretty spectacular place of worship. Very photogenic so go to town on the snaps…you can also do what I did and just remove all of the people/tourists in your photos of the temple in photoshop so it looks empty 😉 Worth visiting 100% but we didn’t hang around for too long once we took some photos due to the business

  • 4/5 Terry L. 1 year ago on Google
Its a nice temple built on a rock just off shore. You can't access the temple though. There is a small section where you can make a donation get a blessing and walk up 10 stairs but not much more than that. Gates into the temple complex are locked and look like that have been for quite some time. The markets on the way to the temple are pretty amazing but easily some of the cheapest markets in Bali I reckon. Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby by. This spot is supposed to be great for sunsets as well I'm told. We had a very cloudy afternoon when I visited so can't say for certain.

  • 5/5 Victoria N. 1 year ago on Google
One of the best and beautiful temple I have seen in Bali, surrounded by waves, rocks.. and seeing it at sunset make it even more magical. So grateful for Mother nature and its grace. Of course, you cannot climb nor visit the temple itself, but to witness from far is just enough. You can give a little donation and receive some blessings 🙏

  • 4/5 S J. 1 year ago on Google
The temple and the scenery itself is quite spectacular sitting in the ocean, however the area itself is a little unclean, the stall/shops on the way in look tacky and generally just not we expected. We gave a donation for a blessing to go up the steps to the temple and realised once you go around the corner there is no access to the temple. Could be amazing but falls a little short.

It's one of the holiest temples in Bali for the Balinese Hindu. It's located on a cliff. Only the ones going for prayers can cross the sea in low tide to access the temple. This place is also famous for its sunset.

Huge area with shopping and parking and eating joints. Wifi is free too. The temple stands next to the sea. The waves have created unique structures. Great place for photography

  • 5/5 Jan K. 1 year ago on Google
A very wide spread temple with lots of nice views. Being that the temple is so close to the sea, it is a welcome change of view compared to the other temple. There are a lot of small shops and coffee 0laces in the area as well as parks where you can relax or take Fotos. I would recommend going there. The entrance fee was reasonable for what you get. I would recommend going there in the afternoon and wait for the nice sunset, sadly we could not do that.

  • 5/5 Febry F. 1 year ago on Google
There are many temple on the edge of the cliff and it has a very beautiful sunset view. The beach also beautiful. It has a cave which we can enter if the tide is low. In that cave there are snakes which actually poisonous but they won't bite if we touch them, there's a myth that once we've touched the snakes then we'll have a good life.

At the entrance to the temple, there is a door unique of Bali, passing through it, it is a wonderful temple that floats like an island in the sea. It is a maritime temple where the Balinese god of the sea, Baruna, is enshrined. Many tourists are busy taking pictures with the temple in the background. The temple is accessible at low tide. When seawater enters, the temple appears to be floating on the sea. Therefore, it is said to be considered a landmark in Bali.

  • 4/5 Deka T. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent place because of there are so many temples there. But when the water is high? You can't reach the small temple outside the main tanah lot place (the way to go there is via walking on the side of beach) The ticket entrance is 10K IDR for local visitors (dunno for foreign visitors)

  • 5/5 HZ H. 1 year ago on Google
I went in after buying ticket at 6.25am on Saturday morning. No people at all which is good except for a local couple which was around later on. By 8.00am more tourists came in but still low crowd. Do check sea tide times before going if you want to see a certain sea tide. I went during low tide so was still able to walk across to the temple, see holy snake and get blessings from the holy priest. You will be able to see a prayer group conducting prayers during low tide. I would want to come again during sea high tide as the temple would look more magnificent like an island in middle of the sea. Good place to go if you want to see a temple if in canggu/kuta/seminyak as it is the closest tourist site for temple.

  • 5/5 r2thebizel 1 year ago on Google
Mid-morning and the crowds were very manageable. Unique and stunning temple worth taking the time to read-up on to give it even more meaning and wonderment whilst there. You can be blessed by the monks to allow you to go up the steps but you can only go as far as the top of the steps, access to the top is not allowed. Lovely lady serving drinks, food and a great view over the temple further up the steps opposite the temple itself.

  • 4/5 Kuan H. 1 year ago on Google
One of the tourist landmarks in Bali. Great scenery and a very beautiful temple indeed. Unfortunately when we were there, it was raining and strong wave. Nevertheless we had a good time walking king around.

  • 5/5 Iain G. 9 months ago on Google
Excellent place to see, nice walk around the area. No entrance to any of the temple, just look through locked gates. There are places to eat with nice views of the temple up on the cliff side, refreshing beer there too! You can take a little walk through the sea to be blessed and then go up some steps but really pointless be cause you go up about 5 steps and there is a locked gate, so the view is restricted, much more to see from the beach and cliff side views. The holy snake is a con really, it's a few sea snakes which apparently protect the temple rock, pay a donation to see them and they're just little sea snakes, nowt holy there really just a snake in the sand.

Tanah Lot in Bali is a popular tourist destination, and for good reason. The sunset at Tanah Lot is truly a breathtaking sight to behold, with the sun setting over the horizon in a blaze of orange and pink hues. The view of the temple perched on the rocky outcrop, surrounded by crashing waves, is an iconic image of Bali. In addition to its natural beauty, Tanah Lot also offers a great shopping experience. The market stalls are filled with unique souvenirs and handicrafts, and bargaining with the local vendors is all part of the fun. The surrounding area is also perfect for a leisurely stroll, with stunning views at every turn. Overall, a visit to Tanah Lot is a must-do for anyone visiting Bali. The combination of natural beauty, cultural significance, and great shopping make it a truly unforgettable experience.

  • 4/5 Lauren H. 10 months ago on Google
It is a stunning temple and went out when the tide was low so you could see all the rocks the temple is built on. As a tourist you aren't able to access most of the temple which is expected, but doesn't leave much to see. It is extremely busy and the vendors are a bit tense, but did have a good walk around and enjoyed the view

  • 5/5 Hai N. 9 months ago on Google

Beautiful scenery, excellent service. If you feel tired from walking, you can have an ice cream because I don't know the price, but 10,000 rubles for ice cream is acceptable. It's worth a try.

  • 5/5 John C. 9 months ago on Google
There is an entry fee of 60,000 Rupiah for foreigners but 20,000 Rupiah only for Indonesians to enter. If there is high tide in the sea then you cannot walk up to the temple and only view from the back. It can get a bit crowded. Nice spots to take pictures but might need to wait due to everyone wanting to do it. Check out some of the local shops inside the venue (not outside) for souvenirs and other traditional items as I found it a bit cheaper compared to the city. If you travel by taxi then I recommend that you leave latest by 7 PM as it will be very difficult to find return taxi.

This is one of the famous scenic spots in Bali and a must visit. When we went there, tide was out so we could not explore the temple area.Though it was quite crowded but you can get beautiful views.

It's a superb place, even if you have to choose your schedule carefully to avoid a huge influx of tourists. The location of the temple on the cliffs overlooking the ocean and the waves make it an exceptional place to visit. I just wonder why some locals allow themselves to sell anything and everything in a religious place. Very close to Canggu btw

Definitely a must visit in Bali. We reached around 3+pm which gave us sufficient time to walk around the temple area in low tide before settling on good spot to view sunset. Sun started to set around 5+pm and it was the best visual display. We had to be sprinkled with holy water and make donation before we can walk up steps to temple gate which is not open to tourists. There are lovely and reasonably priced souvenir stalls and restaurant in the temple grounds. Pls book day trip or driver as we couldn’t get Grab or Gojek after that. Fortunately there was a taxi counter and we took the last taxi out with another couple

The temple itself is on the water and you can walk across to the temple easily in low tide. Such a gorgeous spot. There are lots of dining options and many local shops to do your shopping. There is a sunset point on the other side and you can have an uninterrupted gorgeous sunset. This place is famous for its sunset.

Visited today for the first time in 20 years. Exceptionally clean and organised. Was sad to see the development in terms of paving etc, I enjoyed the rustic visit of years ago walking down the hill on a path with grass. Such is progress I suppose. Well organised and thought out.

Beautiful temple built on the sea. We couldn't stay for the sunset but we saw the sun in the afternoon and if you go up to the cafes it would be a perfect spot to see the sunset. You could walk in low tide across to the temple even though I noticed that people didn't have much to do when they got there.

Tanah Lot was just amazing place. It was my first visit. It was a lovely experience just being there. There were so many rock pools with small fishes and other sea creatures. I went there to see the sunset. Just blown away by the whole landscape. Highly recommend driver Konik. He was able to explain a little history about the place.

This spot was so beautiful. One of so many amazing spot for tourist. I really love this place. Stunning view around. There was a small temple in the middle of the sea. It was so cute. You could get so many kind of nice stuffs along this spot for souvenirs. But unfortunately that time I didn't reach this temple because big waves. However hopefully I could be back there one day.

It’s so sunny and if you are not afraid of sun, please enjoy the walk around the Tanah Lot, walk up the hill and there’s plenty of cafe that you can enjoy your drink with superb scenery. I believe the view will be much more better during sunset.

The temple is on a cliff on the outskirts of the beach. When the sea recedes we can go up there but when the sea is high we can only see from a distance. In one of the caves, there is a sacred snake which the locals believe is the guardian snake of Tanah Lot.

It is a good place that you should visit in Bali. The best time is evening time to see sunset. Ticket fee is not expensive. It is not too far to go there if you stay in Ubud or Kuta.

Mesmerising experience, its a beautiful place to visit, everyone should visit but in the evening time which is around 5 pm , nice market, on the road , vibes were just amazing ❤️✌🏼

What a amazing temple this is, located on a small island just off the coastline We wanted to see the sunset effect, however the day we were there it was cloudy. It's still impressive to see. There are a few restaurants and cafes along the coastline overlooking the temple. But be prepared for a army of tourists at this temple.

Tanah Lot is a stunning and iconic sea temple in Bali, Indonesia. The picturesque scenery and the temple's unique location perched on a rocky outcrop make it a must-visit destination for travelers. Watching the sunset here is an unforgettable experience, with the golden hues reflecting off the temple and creating a magical ambiance. However, due to its popularity, it can get quite crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons. Be prepared for crowds and some souvenir shops around the area. Despite that, Tanah Lot remains a cultural and spiritual gem, offering a glimpse into Bali's rich heritage and breathtaking natural beauty.

Absolutely worth visiting. The temple and surroundings are breathtaking. I would recommend that you visit it in the late afternoon when there is less people and sunset is stunning. The park near the temple is impressive and worth exploring.

Absolutely stunning temple and sunset location. Lots of people; some areas were more crowded/popular than the others. 10-15 minute wait times for the blessings. Definitely a must-see spot while visiting Bali. I would recommend going 30-60 minutes before sunset so you can walk around and enjoy the temple.

One of favorite destination in Bali. It's a temple suround by the sea with a beautiful sunset. If you plan to buy souvenirs, it's a perfect place to go, because it comes with a complex of store a long the way in to the temple. Perfect time to pay a visit around 4 until the sun goes down if you are a sunset lover.

A nice place, but you can’t do anything. It’s kind of a see it and never go back place, they charge you 10.000 rupia to bless you, then you can go walk up the stairs, and once you go few steps the gates are closed and you can come back . So yeah. But scenery is nice

It's unquestionably the top destination in Bali. The temple, the ocean, and the expansive scenery are absolutely awe-inspiring. Observing the waves crash against the rocks is a genuine delight. Even after spending half a day there, I felt like it wasn't enough. Make sure to allocate enough time for your visit. The temple is devoted to Balinese sea deities, and there are numerous distinct temples within the compound. This offers plenty of photo opportunities. Without a doubt, a must-see attraction in Bali.

Great beach and Amazing entrance to the temple. Excellent location for taking sunset pictures. Be careful it's very windy and the waves are pretty strong. Was very pleasing inside the temple and one can have the "ME" time looking at the amazing sunset all alone with sound of waves. Must ho to place on your visit to Bali.

Awesome view of the temple in the sea, surrounded by crashing waves. We didn't go at the recommended sunset time but still enjoyed the view. We could wade across at high tide to get a closer view with a small donation. Enjoyed a delicious simple lunch afterwards at Galang Sunset with nice breeze & dramatic view of the temple. Avoid the crowds and go early is my suggestion.

Beautiful temple, nice scenic views, bit of a walk if you have kids, can take pram but not to all of the places. Few shops and restaurants are there too. Plenty of car park, best to visit around sunset but leave early if you want to get there in time as there is lot of traffic. Adults will have to pay for ticket but it’s like drive through so keep the cash ready and they’ll give you a receipt.

Supremely crowded spot, but it just adds to the vibe. If you wanna enjoy the sunset, you need to grab a good spot fast and settle down. You don't get to go up to the temple as the path is blocked. The priests ask you to wash your hands and face from the holy water stream at the foot of the temples rock. They offer prasad and flowers.

Amongst the places that we have visited in our trip to Bali this round, this was the nicest and also where the locals were more welcoming to other fellow Asians. It's a very peaceful place despite the hustle and bustle of visitors. It's best to visit in the evening so you can experience a pretty sunset and there after watch the thousands of bats flocking out of their caves as the sun sets. There are more than 1 temple here. Recommended to have some time to stroll around leisurely to enjoy the grounds. There are little stalls at the entrance way that sells local snacks or kuihs. Tried the kelopong which is made of glutinous rice flour (giving it a chewy texture) and within is brown sugar. Outside its coated with shredded coconut. So you can a nice and sweet chewy texture with creamy after taste of the coconut.

Sublime place to spend watching the sun go down. Huge area to spread across so although there are massive crowds we barely feel that there are too many people. Just walk right up, grab a table at one of the cafes and have a drink. Although the view is premium, the prices are not.

A place to visit. The view was majestic. Very nice places. You can actually walk to the back of it where there are some restaurants which u can see the sunset. But it can get a bit crowded even if it on a weekday. Will visit again

Tanah Lot, Bali's iconic sea temple, seamlessly blends spirituality with natural beauty. The presence of sacred symbolism, including depictions of snakes, adds a mystical touch, while the use of holy water in rituals enhances the temple's spiritual ambiance. Perched on a step rock in the sea, Tanah Lot's unique setting provides a visually stunning experience. Though tourist crowds and commercialization are drawbacks, the temple's cultural significance and picturesque views, especially during sunset, make it a must-visit destination.

When you're in Bali, Indonesia, make sure you don't overlook this amazing spot. It's definitely worth a visit. After arriving at this place, your mind will feel completely rejuvenated - I'm being honest with you. If you're looking for affordable and good-quality items, the market here is the place to be. Don't hesitate to buy something if it catches your eye. Let me share one important thing with you - you absolutely have to visit this place at least once. Trust me, it's incredibly stunning and once you're here, you'll discover even more breathtaking places around.

This is the must visit place in Bali. I should say that if you’re going to Bali, you should visit this temple. This temple is located in the extreme end of Vali but it is work to visit this temple. You cannot visit inside the temple but still you can explore the areas around the temple. also you can see Holy snake in the temple but you need to pay little amount for that and this symbol is located in the middle of the sea. So so there is a chance for you get your legs to get wet kindly wear chapel accordingly

We were there during the low tide and were freely to walk nearer to the temple as to look around. It is nothing much there but to take a few scenery pictures. There is a mini cave opposite the temple with the people there showing the snake. You will have to do a donation before entering this mini cave to see the snake. It is sea banded krait snake and take note it is highly venomous and touch at your own risk. Plenty of parking lots for car and motorbikes so not to worry if you are traveling with your own transport.

😐 Beautiful place but weird vibe. Feels like some utopian rich person had a dream but forgot to communicate what the dream was. I would be interested to know what they stand for spiritually.
