Great historic theatre with very creative sets and lots of tech upgrades. I was worried about having English subtitles but each seat has a variety of subtitle languages to choose from. They were easy to read without being distracting. They also had rotating and stacked sets and water that actors waded through on stage. Very impressive! Guest services was so nice. They went out of their way to find the English translated excerpt in the digital program for me. I recommend visiting if you are ever in Barcelona. It felt safe outside even late at night when the opera ended

(Translated by Google) In a situation like the current one, it is a shame that tickets cannot be canceled / reimbursed until you decide (in my case there are less than six weeks left until the date of the opera that cannot be attended). Do the right thing and leave the cancellations open so that people can cancel and receive the refund whenever the customer wants, not when you feel like it. I repeat, it is a shame that an institution like El Liceo de Barcelona behaves like this.

Gorgeous theatre! Excellent leg room (I'm very tall), & acoustics. The lift is very slow & the bar situation was very odd, however very reasonable prices. Amazing performance & would definitely be happy to go here again.

(Translated by Google) The theater is great but the management of return tickets in the coronavirus era is unthinkable. We are still waiting for a refund of tickets for a show on April 23 and we are on July 1. They only have money to buy plants and do concerts with them but for other things, they are a bunch of unpresentables. Entities such as the Barcelona Auditorium and the Balaña Group returned the amount of the seats before the state of alarm but the Liceu is the Liceu ....

I appreciate a lot when a worker tries to find a best deal for you. That is how you make people come back to your place 🙌🏻 I watched Cornelia ballet and it was very nice. The seats were comfortable, I got a really good view (again, thanks a lot to the lady that sold me ticket and showed me the view I’ll have from this seat).

I visited the Gran Teatre del Liceu last firday and watched shakespeare midnight summer dream. It was an outstanding experience, the acoustics of the theater, the performance of the Orchestra and the singer was hard to forget. Incredible venue absolutely recommended.

An amazing place to see a show, whether it be a singer, band, or an opera. Tonight, it was Die Zauberflaute, and I thought it was beautifully staged and wonderfully performed!

Iconic theater in the vivid center of Las Ramblas, it's not the original Liceu but a faithful reconstruction, because the original one, partially burned in a fire the 1994. Highly recommended!

The Opera theatre is one of the largest in the world. There are guided tours available. They took us in a group. One cannot roam around on their own. The visit took around 1 hour.

Horrible. You book a ticket to an event at the Liceu Opera and get stuck in a basement. They don't open the doors until just before - so you have to wait in the rain outside as no settling in with a nice drink. The Wifi signup harvest all your data and comes with bizarre screens. No programme notes but surly entrance checks. Noone cares that half the audience flash their phone screens all through the concert. Noises from outside. Obviously no interest in customers here

I use to go to this great Opera House twice a year. It is always awesome. You can get tickets for 40 € or 51 € with an acceptable visibility. Last Saturday we attend to Gioconda performance and We enjoyed it a lot.

Very nice place. It gives the chance to enjoy high quality performance in a majestic environment. It is very difficult to find free parking near. If you are willing to pay, there are three parkings 10 minutes walking. Subway is the best option to reach the place.

The temple of lyrics. The opera in Barcelona and in a modern key. Unfortunately re-built the old way, so 70% of seats have limited view. But the artistic quality is fantastic

Fantastic theater with a lot of history. The issue is that the theater was clearly built before modern designers figured out how to make the seating better. There are many seats that have partial views or blocked zones due to being under a ceiling or behind a wall. The theater itself is impressive and historic.

Who would think that there is a Spanish fan dance in Schubert's winterreiss ? 😃🩰 💃who would expect the spinning flower 🌺 dancer to have two light sabers like Darth Vader🚨😃? i went to see 🙈 french choreographer Angelin Preljocaj's creative work winterreiss . the movement was well related to how the music was played and sung . smooth partnering tonight made it all look effortless . ☺️ there is a poem on the piano, in the voice and in the movement . 🙈☺️

I unique place in Bcn where you can enjoy opera and ballet. Great offers for those who are younger than 36, as well as some special deals for tickets on occasions (e.g. 2 for 175 euro for tickets that may be much more expensive).

Saw a Donezetti opera. Hilarious and great use of stage. Kept me interested every moment. Very elegant looking theater. Seats are a little small but mind you this was built over a century ago. Well kept for a historical theater. Make sure to get tickets way ahead. Otherwise you may get stuck with seats that have a limited view.

Amazing experiences, I went to the opera many times and it's simply one of the best. The sound is very good and the main room is simply fantastic to the eye. They keep having plays all around the year except in the summer period and there is plenty of chances to see both the most known pieces and also some of the newest.

Once in a lifetime you have to go here. We went with Liceu under 35, which is amazing and cheap, (3rd row for 22€). Really nice atmosphere with a welcome cocktail and did trucks on second floor. The Opera Tosca was nice even if the adaptation to the Italian 70s was not the most proper one in my view

Booked my first event at this enigmatic opera house and really enjoyed the event! The organisation within the building is slick! Staff are all so courteous and capable. 👌🏽 The cloakroom was so efficient and they even took in my electric scooter with my coat and there is no extra charge. The opera and orchestra was lovely. The seat I could afford was along the sides and on the second floor and I could only really see two thirds of the stage but the system does state that when you book online. I paid about €35 for my ticket so I’d say I got good value for my money though I would suggest paying the extra for more centre-facing seats to get full enjoyment of both the theatre itself and the performance you choose to see.

Beautiful! Everything about the theatre from the lounging rooms to the horseshoe theatre creates the perfect atmosphere for a night at the opera. First the good: it's a beautiful theater, translation is available, seats are comfortable, singers are first rate. The bad: a joke of a production of The Pearl Fishermen set as a reality TV show. Complete distraction from a wonderful opera. For a first time opera goer (me), I felt robbed.
