On the weekend you have two choices, either come before 3pm and pay for the experience without a lot of people inside or come after 3pm for free, but be prepared for waiting in line and a lot of people inside. I chose the former and it was great because although the paintings are the same, you get to really dive into them without other people bumping into you. And they're for sure worth diving, there is an exquisite collection from the Spanish golden age. Highly recommend and would go again

I love coming here... EXCELLENT exhibitions, so interesting. They cover such interesting topics. This visit was about the Brain and mental health. (Their topics are sometimes similar - but certainly not to the same high standards -as the Welcome Trust in London). Great large building, easy to get around, looks cool, lots of toilets, comfortable seating, quiet areas, Highly recommend 🌟

There were 2 exhibitions to see. Press photo in the 1st floor and Science Friction in the 3rd floor which was quite packed so when we wanted to watch a movie that is presented there just few people could stay and we were told to get out. There is not enough English description in some places. The press photo exhibition is a must see, but I expected some permanent exhibition. It took around 1 and half hour at most.

The place is lovely, great architecture. Your experience may differ, but we visited an amazing exhibit and had a great time. Nice places to eat and drink, whilst watching skateboarding, just around the corner

Really nice exhibits for a really good price. I would suggest to avoid Sundays as it was really crowded. Other than that, I had an awesome time. It has a nice internal patio that you can go without paying the fee. Will definitely be back on another day that is not so crowded.

CCCB is one of my favorites places in BCN, you can find interesting art exhibitions of contemporary films, photography and art in general. Researching, compilation, video library. Their bookstore is amazing, you can buy all kind of titles and subjects. Cccb edits their own exhibition catalogs. One of the best was the Metamorphosis, an exhibition that establishes a dialogue between the four masters of animated films: Ladislas Starewitch, Jan Švankmajer and the Quay brothers...

(Translated by Google) Part of the building is Noucentista. Arch.D. Josep Godoy. There we find the so-called "Patio de les dones". The modern buildings that were made were in charge of D. Helio Piñón and D. Albert Viaplana. What earned them the FAD Award. The facade of this building on the one hand, is made of glass that reflects, on clear days, the entire Port of Barcelona. It is a beautiful vision. In this "Patio de les dones" there is a very beautiful image of Sant Miguel. In the CCCB building, many interesting exhibitions, film festivals, etc. are held. Es una visión preciosa. En este "Patio de les dones" hay una imagen muy bonita de Sant Miguel. En el edificio de la CCCB, se hacen muchas exposiciones, festivales de cine,..etc, muy interesantes.

The CCCB has been a leader in showcasing contemporary cultural issues which can be experienced by the viewer in every day life. That connection make it's expositions very accessible and enjoyable.

  • 5/5 M.Guthier 1 year ago on Google
Very nice museum. If you get the chance to see the exhibition on masks and the way they were used in human history, you should definitely go there. I was blown away by how well this exhibition was structured and presented. The price is also very fair for the experience.

I honestly found this place pretty boring. The concept is really cool. It was showing the life of a someone who worked with psychology. And then the artwork of some of the patients. I just found it was a lot of reading to be able to understand the meaning behind the art. This isn’t my favorite type.

Often the exhibitions are cramped (they do not leave enough space between items) and of low quality like so many in Barcelona. Also the font size of the Spanish and English explanations (if there are English labels at all) are only half the Catalan font size which makes the former difficult to read. As usual in Catalonia, nationalism and discrimination are ubiquitous.

  • 4/5 Laura A. 2 years ago on Google
Really interesting place with multiple itinerant expositions related to different topics. In the heart of Barcelona, 5 minutes walking to la Rambla or Universitat. Besides you have a beautiful view of the skyline from the ground (yes, they made this possible while creating the building). Definitely this won't be my last visit.

Went to see Urban nature! We were late to the appointment (you had to book specific timing) so we called them and they were so nice and gave us different options that were helpful. Even recognized us when we got there. I visit there often and I love it. Just remember sunday is the free day (not for all expos) and probably avoid late evening if you prefer a calm walk.

Exhibits here are well thought through and occasionally provocative. A few years ago their esoteric exhibition was one of the best I’ve ever seen. Recently, I experienced the marquis de Sade exhibit which questioned the limits of freedom. Should we be free to engage in cruelty? Should we allow humans to be treated cruelly if they choose to be? This exhibit is Not for the faint of heart. Couldn’t watch all the videos because I cannot watch cruelty toward humans and enjoy it, nor do I seek to cultivate that ability. I really appreciate this museum, and its curators are top notch.

An amazing museum that you should visit. It’s just behind the MACBA, even though what locals says the zone feels pretty safe, if you are going on the free entry you have to “buy” the tickets at least 3 days before the visit. Also if you have your ticket and reservation you don’t have to do any lines, for some reason people like to make a line nonsense.

  • 5/5 Milo de P. 5 months ago on Google
A fantastic place for all kinds of experiences and exhibitions. Well, of you're into that kind of stuff. It didn't lend itself as much to one of my favorite pastimes of wandering through a museum pretending to be very thoughtful and moved by the art. The exhibitions here tend to be more interactive, when I try to look thoughtful here, I tend to look like I'm not getting it.

  • 5/5 Martin F. 7 months ago on Google
CCCB holds great exhibits about culture topics like literature, arts and all the media in between. Usually curated with a very high level just let yourself immersed in culture and learn new things in every visit. On Sundays after 3PM is for free! Plan your visit early since it can be crowded on a cloudy Sunday afternoon

  • 5/5 Brice P. 5 months ago on Google
Like always a very good exhibition at the CCCB, a must-see museum in Barcelona, the curators, the approaches and the text/videos are always an incredible source of information and new knowledge.

  • 5/5 Doc D. 8 months ago on Google
Been here several times. Exhibitions are most of the time well curated and thought provoking. They also provide a reading space with several books around the theme of the show - which is amazing and so necessary - bravo to the organisers for this. Last show on Marquis de Sade was excellent but extremely explicit - it can be triggering if you have experienced any kind of sexual abuse/trauma. Bearing this in mind - really interesting.

It’s quite fun experience to spend time around Barcelona. You’ll gain knowledge about the artificial intelligence (AI) and how it grows from time to time. Mostly in digital interactive display. Gen-Z would love it!

This is now my favorite arts center in Europe. I went to see the exhibition "Sade: Freedom or Evil", and fell in love with this gorgeous space. So modern and spacious inside and yet in a space with a lot of history. Right beside MACBA. The cafe is nice, too, and serves drinks, and the bookstore is friendly. Very cool.

  • 5/5 Dennis O. 1 year ago on Google
This is the single best curated museum I have ever been to. Every exhibition is worth your time. Cross cultural connections, that make you think and question your believes and views of the world.

Good space for exhibitions. Went to see the World Press Photography exhibition at the time. Only problem is that they let all the school groups in the same day so it was too packed and noisy.

  • 5/5 L P. 10 months ago on Google
Totally LOVED it! I had the chance to visit two exhibitions, one about comics and one about De Sade. Would say that the comics one was one of the greatest exhibitions ever. The details, the installations, the art, everything easy just perfect!

Beautiful museum with a new exhibition every month. I went to the Stanley Kubrick one and it was amazing to see what he used to create his masterpieces. Definitely visit whenever there’s an exhibit

  • 5/5 Danny B. 5 years ago on Google
The structure is super cool and very modern. I have been there several times but the very last one I was there for a Kubrick's exposition. I believe that was very well organized. Since he is one of my favourite director of course I found everything particularly interesting and fascinating but, even if you are not a huge fan of him, I strongly advise to check it out (it is still ongoing)because the exposition gives you the chance to go through every single piece of art in a chronological order and that gives you the opportunity to understand better his point of view and what he wanted to express.
