Unique and big cemetery, we walked there it took us an hour to get from our area (Gothic quarter). If you’re into cemetery tourism then this is the place for you to visit.

My first impression was wowwwww, just WOW! I have visited many cemeteries but this one ist just incredible. It’s really big area but the most beautiful ones are luckily not too far from the entrance. They really put sooo much effort to create the fantastic art works. A small tip: the taxi app can be very useful. We planned to take a bus back to town but we missed it, the next one would be in 40 minutes. It was cold and windy and there’s nothing near so the taxi app just saved our lives. 😅

Wonderful location for a calm walk. This location provides one of a kind view over the whole city of Barcelona where one can easily get away from the noise of the big city organize a picnic or go to practice sports. It just next to the lovely botanical garden as well as next to a not so well known venue "Casa de Migdia" where one can see traditional live music from Andalusia every Sunday.

Some really unique things to see in this cemetery! It was quite difficult for me to get here without a car and I didn’t take a bus. Bad idea. Other than that there were some really cool sculptures!

A very special place, worth any effort you need to make to get there. A mix of gothic & almost fascist architecture, which would be right given Spains history. My tip would be to get the bus up & walk down, the bus only runs until early afternoon on certain days, so plan carefully if you want to use it. I have posted what I could of the bus timetable.

great cemetery, lots to walk and pretty cool views. Especially at golden hour. the signaled routes I found a bit confusing and couldn't access the "guided" map online.

Actually a very interesting place. I have not seen a cemetery like this before. It is mostly big walls with kind of crypts of 6 levels. There are roads for cars and even a bus stop in the cemetery. There is also a great view into the harbour.

It's amazing how each major city dealt with the situation of too many dead people, in need of a solution. Thousands of family graves exist in each level, staircase and every possible spot, some historical, other artistic and some of them both. Definitely worth checking out if you're into the gothic rhythms of barcelona.

Pretty cool and cooky cemetery. Some of the tombs are monumental. Definitely lots of egos went into some of them. Interesting and quiet place to contemplate the finality of life.

An incredible walk in one of the world's most beautiful ceremony, a climb up a hill is involved so prepare for a hike. Not really anywhere to picnic, and only one entrance.

The neo Gothic section was a delight to walk through, with fantastic memorials and mausoleums. The whole cemetery is 57 acres in size and would take a good day if you wanted to look at everything in it. The sculptors memorials stood out for me, and I will definitely visit it again soon to finish off seeing what there is to see.

It was the Wine Festival in Villanova I Getru on the La Rambla main walking street of this incredible lively and beautiful seaside city! It's about 25 minutes from Barcelona and 5 minutes from Sitges, the Art and bohemian city of Spain. The Wine Festival is called Temps de Vi, was spectacular 3 days with countless of wine cellars represented from Catalonia, absolutely Superior quality vinos and sparkling vinos! Artisan food stands provided special food from their cheese , meat and pastry, besides all restaurants on La Rambla were open for service! Beautiful sea playa with a special statue of Mother Cow, representing that the life of cows/bulls are respected here in Catalonia, no bullfighting or other use of bulls, it's been banned long years ago! Spectacular city with lively expat groups, super social network life as well! 🥰
