Stayed 7 days. Rooms very clean, facilities great, staff helpful & polite, great communication (although not all speak English they do what they can ie. Mobile google translate). Breakfast very good (not massive choices, but what’s available is excellent). Spa & massage treatments perfect; reasonably priced. Pool very relaxing, gym is simple & nice. Everything just same as photos. Internet speed is sufficient (zoom conference calls all good). Lots privacy, not noisy. Highly recommend.

Great place. Really close to the train station only 30min to Barcelona. Incredible views from the room Really premium rooms. They were really nice and helped with all my needs: early check in, night extension... At the end I needed to cancel my second night at 3:30pm and they only charged me a late check out and gave me the money back. Really happy with the experience and I’d definitely recommend it or go back in the future

Beautiful hotel in Mataró in front of the harbor. Many bars and restaurants close to the hotel. Also a wide and long beach is just 5 min to walk. The rooms are very modern, pool and gym also there.

We stayed there four days. Hotel staff was very unprofessional. I was profiled and followed by staff because of my tattoos. We had a small bag of laundry serviced and they charged us over $100.00. They didn't have a price listing for the service in our room and a female front desk never explained how much the laundry service was. She told my wife it was included as part of the stay. They were very misleading. The housekeeping service left our patio door open all day after cleaning and exposed our room to theft while we were out for the day. The front desk personal named Cristian was rude and unhelpful. I wouldn't recommend this place. There are plenty of nice places with professional employees.

The forniture is a bit old and not very practical, there is not to much space to store your things especially if you are going to stay for more than 3 days, but the beds are super comfortable. The food in the restaurant is spectacular, dreamlike, delicious, all tasty. And the best service I found in years, friendly, cheerful, collaborators, they help you always, with a good sense of humor, thanks to them and their good service, our stay was excellent. I definitely recommend it!!!

The hotel is very comfortable with easy parking at €9 / day Nice restaurant and easy access to port and mataro beaches. The only downside for us was the dry dock engineering works adjacent to the swimming pool. On one day an especially toxic old diesel engine from the dry dock was spewing diesel fumes over the whole pool area. We accept we were unlucky with the breeze direction that day but it was very unpleasant.

We were a big company that travelled for a wedding in Barcelona. The service of the staff was a disaster. The staff in the reception had a really bad attitude against the guests, did the bare minimum when we had any question. The area around the hotel is nice and quiet. The hotel it self is fresh but they did not clean our room for a whole day so we had to remind them twice. I do not think this hotel lives up to a 4-star hotel standard.

Staying away from downtown Barcelona was a great decision. This hotel is right at the Port of Mataro, about 30 minutes on a train from the core of the Barcelona. It paid off substantially. The hotel itself is very nice. The view is great and is right in the middle of a long ocean coast (that will probably take you all the way to France). It's a modern place, full of amenities, including a spa, a pool, and a ridiculous amount of food options around, from seafood to Italian, ice cream and whatnot. Going to Barcelona for day trips was very easy. We just had to walk 8 minutes to a train station (that is usually open until 1 am everyday). Staff was very helpful and efficient. The room was more than enough in size and looked brand-new.

Very nice and helpful staff especially restaurant’s managers. Lack of vegetables on breakfast… delicious fruits though. Scrambled eggs I reckon made of some powder and water, egg omelette as well. Breakfast focused on croissants lovers what I’m not so… Good drinks at the bar. Location very close to marina so a lot of things is going on so not for someone who needs silence. But close to train station and restaurants. Supermarkey 8minuts away

Hotel is in a fantastic location. Breakfast was good. Hot & cold food. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great amenities. Enjoyed the spa. Steam room, in & outdoor pool. Indoor pool has the Jetstream beds. Good temperature. In indoor pool. All for €8 for the hour 👍

Great location if you want to be close to Barcelona but somewhere quiet. The tram takes 30 min to get to Barcelona and it's only a few minutes walk from the hotel. Has a good underground parking for the guest too.

Great location, nice staff, decent amenities, but no room service and the shower/sink had some issues that could really use some extra attention to upkeep. Would definitely return.

Tidy hotel, good for families, but too noisy at times. Breakfast was average, with cereal dispensers that stopped working every single morning… Rooms were ok, great view, but the shower would always turn on right on yoir face, oh and the mini bar’s fridge was burning hot. The best thing about the hotel, the location. Walking distance from the train station, the beaches and the city centre.

Great hotel and a good location. I gave it a four as they decided to change the faulty dishwasher whilst we were trying to check out.

Randomly choose this hotel to stay when took my mom for vacation and don’t regret it at all, we even extended our stay there. Friendly and helpful staff, nice and clean rooms with a view to the port. Definitely worth it and I’ll be back :)

The hotel is old and you can see easily that no improvements or maintainance are being done. The view is very beautiful.

Good breakfast, beautiful and clean hotel right by the beach and a train station. Has a pool and a nice bar outside

The staff was nice and the hotel room too, but the breakfast was a complete afterthought. The most insipid excuse for scrambled eggs I have tried in my life. Very little variety. Give the beeakfast more love, Ive had better food in 2 star hostals.

very good hotel and beautiful view from the balcony. good with restaurants nearby and train station. unfortunately they were not very good at cleaning our room. would like to thank Rachid who helped us a lot and was there if we wondered about anything and always smiles.

The hotel was really clean, the staff in the restaurant really helpful. Restaurant Manager (Pau) really helpful and accommodating, best chicken risotto I have eaten. The rooms were really clean. The only negative response I had was the phone and television would not work in the room which the manager dealt with and no assistance when using the gym or spar.

Nice hotel with great amenities. Really nice restaurant offering a breakfast for (11 Euros) and dinner with typical Spanish dishes at a decent price (+/- 20 euros). Drink are about 5 euros. The hotel is right at the train station and there are beautiful beaches close by. Mataró is a small town totally work visiting and exploring while you're here. The hotel has a pool and outdoor patio bar which is beautiful and well maintained. Bicycles and electric scooters are avail to rent in the lobby for about 15 euros. Definitely returning to the gem.

Ambience was good right from the start. Located close to a port and a railway line, hotel atena exudes some air of olden days comfort. The staff are friendly and helpful, particularly in the restaurant, rooms are spacious and equipped with necessary amenities. There is a cold and warm indoor swimming pools and the view from so e or the rooms are of the fishing port. A good place to stay
