We
went
to
Matoro
to
watch
the
Good
Friday
procession.
We
were
wondering
around
looking
for
something
to
eat
.
So
happy
we
entered
El
Raco
de
Jabugo.
First
the
staff
-
absolute
stars
-
regardless
of
the
language
barrier
-
we
spoke
Scottish
and
a
bit
of
broken
Spanish
-
staff
spoke
French,
Catalan,
Arabic
and
Spanish
-
but
with
a
lot
of
smiles
we
ordered
our
degustation
menus.
And
then
the
Catalan
food
heaven
started
to
arrive
-
cured
meats
-
Catalan's
favourite
were
of
a
great
quality
and
freshly
cut.
The
gradual
selection
of
cheeses
was
also
a
fine
representation
of
the
local
cheese
making.
By
this
point
we
knew
we
found
a
wee
food
gem.
But
they
didn't
stop
-
local
staples
such
as
calamari
a
la
Romana,
patatas
bravas
and
croquettes
de
jamon
were
absolute
delight
-
balanced
flavour,
great
crunch
and
complimented
by
the
greatest
Alioli
salsa
I've
tried.
Then
the
main/segondo
-
a
finest
selection
of
grilled
local
meats
and
sausages
-
rabbit,lamb
and
pork.
In
addition
-
thinly
sliced
fine
cuts
of
pork
Iberico
served
raw
on
the
table
with
a
hot
stone
to
cook
to
your
own
liking.
For
the
final
-
amazing
cream
Catalan
and
some
absolutely
outstanding
nougat
ice-cream
from
Toron.
All
of
that
generously
washed
down
with
3
bottles
of
-
not
expensive
but
decent
local
wine
and
some
great
coffee
at
the
end
so
we
can
make
our
way
back
home
after
so
much
food.
And
all
this
absolutely
outstanding
food
and
service
at
the
very
acceptable
price
of
32
euros
per
person.
Best
value
for
money
in
Catalunia.
Thank
you
El
Raco
the
Jabugo-
you
were
amazing
and
I
hope
you
have
a
great
season
ahead
.
All
the
best
