Every exposition there is amazing. I've been visiting this space for the last 3 years and it never stops me to amaze me. The Jean Prouve exhibition was incredible and really well put together. The TeamLab exhibition was amazingly beautiful and fun. All the animals and flowers we had the opportunity to smash were really fun!

During my recent visit to Barcelona, I had the pleasure of exploring CaixaForum, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. This architectural gem nestled in the heart of the city is a captivating blend of old and new, seamlessly combining historic elements with modern design. As soon as I entered CaixaForum Barcelona, I was immediately struck by the stunning interiors. The spacious exhibition halls with their high ceilings and abundant natural light created an inviting ambiance that perfectly complemented the artwork on display. The attention to detail in the restoration of the building is commendable, preserving its historical significance while transforming it into a vibrant cultural center. The art exhibitions at CaixaForum are truly remarkable. The curatorial team has curated an eclectic range of exhibits, showcasing a diverse collection of contemporary art, photography, and multimedia installations. From thought-provoking installations to engaging interactive displays, every corner of the museum was brimming with creativity and innovation. One of the highlights of my visit was the immersive nature of the exhibitions. The museum offers a unique opportunity to not only view art but also to actively participate and engage with the works. The interactive elements, such as virtual reality experiences and multimedia presentations, added a new dimension to my understanding and appreciation of the art. The cultural programming at CaixaForum is another aspect that sets it apart. The museum hosts a rich variety of events, including concerts, film screenings, lectures, and workshops. These activities provide a holistic experience and further enrich the visit, catering to a wide range of interests and ensuring there is always something new and exciting to discover. The staff at CaixaForum deserves special recognition for their professionalism and warmth. Their deep knowledge and passion for the art and exhibitions were evident in their interactions with visitors. They were readily available to answer questions, offer insights, and provide guidance, making the experience even more enjoyable and fulfilling. The amenities and facilities at CaixaForum are top-notch. The café offers a delightful selection of refreshments and snacks, providing a pleasant respite during the visit. The gift shop is also a treasure trove of artistic treasures, offering unique souvenirs and beautifully curated art-related merchandise. In conclusion, CaixaForum Barcelona is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts, culture seekers, and anyone looking for a memorable and enriching experience in Barcelona. With its exceptional art exhibitions, immersive displays, engaging cultural events, and outstanding staff, this cultural hub offers a true feast for the senses. I left CaixaForum inspired, enlightened, and eager to return to delve deeper into the world of art and creativity.

Situated in an old factory, the space is very impactful and worth a visit (tickets are €6 for adults)! Considering how huge the structure is, I was surprised to find out there was only one exhibition to see (we went for the one on tattoos), but at least they provided portable stools to take around with you, which I appreciated very much! There is a cafe & restaurant available inside. A bit over priced if you ask me but inside a beautifully curated space. Ps. I would definitely take the lift to the rooftop to enjoy the views

The experience was amazing. We draw some templates that they had and we could see our paints moving on the walls. Really beautiful and recommended if you are with kids (or not)

Indeed, a great exposition space for the legendary expositions, such as the Gastronomic Forum Barcelona!

Fantastic place to go, to do "something else" while in Barcelona. Enjoyed the exhibition and glass of Cava afterwards. Would recommend.

This Museum had a lot of potential but I wasn't super impressed with what they had on display. I enjoyed the photography section the most. I feel like with this much space a lot more could be done. I read online that it had a variety of different artworks maybe I was at the wrong place?

Fantastic views from the rooftop, but also beautiful modern art museum hosted in an old textile factory. Very spacious and great lighting for photos.

  • 5/5 Max C. 8 months ago on Google
CaixaForum is a vibrant and well-structured museum built into an old modernist textile mill. During my visit the main exhibitions were "The Human Image" and "Expanded Visions", which were a more traditional art/artifact display and experimental photography display respectively. I especially enjoyed The Human Image, which takes seemingly disparate pieces and presents them in sections exploring themes of bodily perfection, deification, gender expression, and more. There are also some smaller exhibits and activities depending on when you go, and you can of course explore the textile mill itself. For just 6€ I spent 3 hours here, and got a lot out of my time. Highly recommend.

Really liked this place. If you have Caixa card 4 people can go in for free. I found few Iranian items there which really surprised me. Such a great idea that they collected different figures and images of human from different parts of world in different eras. There was a cafe there that I really liked its atmosphere.

Great place for a full plate of culture, the Expo goes from 📷 photography, 🎨 paintings, comic ✏️, modern art, also Virtual Reality! 🕶️! The place got a catalan modernist architecture with great history behind it. The bar has a nice atmosphere with indoor and outdoor sitting.

Lovely space with a lot of potential, however the exhibitions were very low effort, descriptions of exhibits are only in Spanish / Catalan.

  • 5/5 Maglica P. 5 months ago on Google
Regardless of whether you like the layout of the exhibition, you should first pay attention to the architectural solutions (combining the old and the new) with details that deserve praise for their creative simplicity. For example "canopy" above the stairs or video wall in the wide lower level. Compliments also go to the interior designer. The space is multifunctional, which gives it liveliness, and different thematic contents are offered, so everyone can find something for themselves. It's worth your time.

A nice museum to visit, although not the best for tourist as the art description don not have an English translation.

This visit we just used the cafe which is superb. We'll priced sandwiches or more light bites if wanted. Great outdoor seating area. Top you can get onto the roof up a staircase near the cafe for free which is interesting and fascinating chimneys

I enjoyed every second of my visit. It was my first time and I think it won't be the last. Both the exhibitions, Vampirs and "Art i Mite" were very well-thought and easy to follow, I particularly liked the paintings from the Prado Museum and reading about the classical tales which inspired those painting. The staff were helpful and informative and in terms of social distancing, there was plenty of room to walk around.

Caixaforum has always amazing exhibitions. For me, it's the best contemporary culture center in Barcelona. In addition, it has activities for kids and families plus a fabulous cafe. Worth a visit!

  • 5/5 Irene Compte (. 2 years ago on Google
I have visited the place over the years and they maintain their quality in any of the exhibitions and activities proposed. For me, one of the best art & cultute experiences in Barcelona, starting with the rehabilitated building itself which I find very pleasing. Because they always offer at least 3 shows in parallel, it is easier that you find something interesting whether it's about music, architecture or visual arts. The show they have now by teamLabs, combining technology, audiovisuals, art and visitor's participation is absolutely great. It is also a very good option to bring your kids, since any of the exhibits includes activities designed for them and/or the whole family. The museum has a fairly good cafe.restaurant, serving daily menu, and of course a small but rich shop full of all those things and books we only find in museum shops.

Very nice muzeum, only temporary expos, well curated. Unfortunately the traduce only partially in english.

  • 4/5 Michael W. 1 year ago on Google
Cool entry, two large exhibition spaces upstairs with large well curated shows. But that means if you’re not into one of them, you’re mostly going to spend time in one of them, which is fine. But it left me wanting more from the space also… cafe has good coffee and food, good break space in between art exploring

Excellent as always. The current Magritte exhibition, running until the 26th of Sept. 2022 is outstanding & highly recommended to visit.

Massive space for kids to run, and arts shows unique landscape and history of Spain .

Caught a temporary expo of Magritte paintings. Great stuff, and the building itself is great too

  • 5/5 Pablo F. 2 years ago on Google
Always interesting stuff at this bank-owned museum. The exhibition on digital leisure/gaming permeating our society in many different ways was great, but quizzing you as you move through the rooms and building a profile of you is a great way to make you reflect about what your digital breadcrumbs can become in the right or wrong hands. Enjoyed using the exhibit to discuss with my kiddos

I went for a specific exhibit that someone had recommended me and ended up staying many hours since they have several exhibits worth enjoying.

This is a place to visit when in town. There are a lot of nice exhibitions to see. The entrance fee is fairly good for what you get and there is no rush once inside.... Take your time and enjoy....

Great and beautiful place with a lot of cultural events. We saw a presentation called Symphony. All the staff was helpful and the organization was good. It's worth it to check the Caixa Forum website to see what's going on while you are in Barcelona.

  • 4/5 Tali B. 1 year ago on Google
This is a beautiful and exciting venue. Both exhibition we saw were amazing - tattoos and fashion in movies. It gets 4 stars from me and not 5 because everything is in Spanish and nothing is translated to English. There were no tourists but us which is a shame for art and culture lovers that look for more interesting things to see in this city.
