Our third Fat Tire Tour didn’t disappoint! We reckon these tours are the best way to introduce a new city for the first time. Our guide Jordan took us around Barcelona at a decent pace, with some great insights into the historical landscape. Would definitely recommend.

This was my second Fat Tire Bike Tour and it didn’t disappoint. Our guide was Eva from Latvia and she was friendly, easygoing and knowledgable. Barcelona was more hair raising than Berlin (my first Fat Tire experience) as it’s a much busier city packed with tourists so you need to concentrate to avoid any mishaps! We did the 4 hour tour which included a 45 mins stop for lunch at a restaurant on the beach front. This is a great way to see a city and it beats the traditional bus tours hands down. If you’ve not done it before, give it a go! You won’t be disappointed:-)

Somehow we were able to book a tour through a travel website, even though they weren't operating at the time. Fat tires called me by phone from Spain to let us know, in English, which we were very grateful for and saved us a wasted morning. I think that if they are so conscientious and decent, then the tours must be good and hopefully next time we visit, we will have a chance to ride with them

Brilliant tour. Afternoon seems quieter on streets and our group was small. Our guide was perfect, kind and informative, really made our visit to Barcelona. A must do.

Great way to see Barcelona in 4 hours! Our guide Benja was amazing: fun, detailed and ensured everyone was safe! I would 100% recommend this! We’ve got so much ground covered, a great intro to the city!

Couldn't recommend this tour enough! One of the highlights of my trip takes you to all the essential spots and some lesser known curiosities. Our guide was able to answer every question about the tour and Barcelona, so I was surprised to hear it was her first tour! The ride is suitable for anyone as the city has amazing bike lanes and little to no hills.

  • 5/5 Tom R. 1 year ago on Google
Such an awesome experience and tour! Anah our tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable and made the tour like speaking and enjoying time with friends. The bike ride was easy and enjoyable and we saw some amazing sights including the Sagarda Familia! I would highly recommend this company and the tours to see the sights of Barcelona! A DEFINITE MUST DO EXPERIENCE!

An excellent tour and guide, despite multiple road closures due to demonstrations and police blockades. The pace was suitable for all levels, the time of year ideal in terms of street traffic and the guide truly knowledgeable. Would do again and would recommend (I landed from Cape Town and did the tour same day, it was the perfect way to stretch legs!)

I've used Fat Bike Tours in London, Madrid and Barcelona and have to say that it's always been amazing! They are fun bunch of people with lots of knowledge. It's a great way to explore the city plus you have a little workout as well! :-)

  • 5/5 Shira B. 1 year ago on Google
Great service and guidance! 👏🏻 Came with two children (8,11) and they really enjoyed. Not very easy for small children (registered to a 3.5 hours) but we've enjoyed much!

My biggest issue was the safety of the bikes in terms of mechanical checks. Two of the bikes on our tour had issues with the brakes and mine had a broken button for the changing of gears . My mom fell down off her bike because of the brakes not working- luckily it wasn’t anything too serious. Furthermore, another gal in our tour had to trade with the guide as hers were not working either. Overall, I’d recommend the fat tire tour in Berlin over Barcelona.

This bike tour was a great way to see Gaudi’s work throughout Barcelona. Our tour guide, Alvaro, was extremely knowledgeable and had plenty of information to offer at each stop. The streets of Barcelona aren’t necessarily set up for the best biking experience, but our tour guide did well by shepherding us all through traffic lights. The main stop on the tour, La Familia Sagrada, was incredible. Alvaro could’ve spent hours telling us about the architecture and history of just the outside of the church (and we would’ve loved to listen to it all) but there was so much to see inside as well. We recommend not waiting in line to take the elevator up to the tower as it was not a part of the general admission, plus there was so much to explore. We would recommend walking around the perimeter inside to appreciate the beauty of the structure, but then going down in the basement for at least half of the allotted time to read about the history of the building. Overall fun experience!

Really enjoyable. Our guide, Alvaro was excellent. In our case, it was an all American group and he catered it to our perspective and helped explain cultural differences. He took the extra time to give us a great tour. Alvaro was very knowledgeable in all the sites we visited.

Marnie was an amazing personable and knowledgeable guide. She not only shared the history and culture of the area and people but did in a fun and interesting way. She answered all of our questions and ensured we were safe on our bikes at all times. It is a great way see this amazing city. Highly recommend!!

FTT did it again with a great tapas walking tour in Barcelona with B as the guide! She was very nice and informative about what we were eating and drinking and provided great travel tips. Highly recommend taking this tour or any other on offered by FTT.

I highly recommend them in Barcelona. I kept my luggage in their office and went for the tour. You can simply trust them. I even had to prepond my tour one day before the booked date, they accepted it without any extra costs. The Guide was awesome and properly took time to explain the history of each spot. There is not even a single negative I can find for them.

My friends and I had a bike tour led by Kyra. She was amazing! Very knowledgeable about the history of Barcelona and we got lots of information about the sights we visited. We covered a lot of ground including a trip to La Sagrada Familia. We went on a good pace, and had lots of water breaks in between. I don’t consider myself fit and I haven’t ridden a bike in a looong time and I still managed to stay with the group! Definitely worth the price and would totally do it again! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience, Kyra!

We did the Night Bike Tour with Kyra and had a fantastic night! This was a great way to see so many diverse sights in one evening. Kyra, our tour guide was passionate, cared about all of us and shared so much history about Barcelona! It was truly a sensory experience as we had amazing views of the Montjuic celebrated with a glass of Cava and a rare viewing of opera in a small and quaint alleyway! We stopped for drinks and some pintxos 😋. We had a nice small group of 7 people from Australia, Brazil and us from Canada. We also did the Day Bike Tour but the Night tour had a different experience! We highly recommend both tours and enjoying Barcelona! ❤️👍 Thank you Fat Tire Tours for making our visit to Barcelona special!

Would definitely recommend the tour! Thanks Kyra Jamie, Caroline, Rachael and Cameron. Ps you should visit Glasgow!

It was so much fun! it does feel a little hectic with a large group of 5+ . But regardless of the group it is an easy, quick, and educational bike ride to do! Our tour guide, Mikhail, was so good at explaining each stop and giving a detailed historical explanation. 10/10

My newlywed wife and I had the most wonderful time this afternoon. Eva was a phenomenal guide, who took us to 6-7 really cool mostly-Gaudi-related places around town. Despite a ton of rain, we got the just right amount of insight and casual exercise. The bikes were easy to ride. Hope you get Eva!

This tour is a great way to see all the beautiful sights of the city and learn about how/why they were built in different styles. Elena was our tour guide and she was the best! So friendly and fun and very knowledgeable about the city. The actual biking wasn’t difficult at all and we stopped frequently to talk about buildings and take pictures. A very easy going way to sightsee. The tour takes a full day (10-4). We did the early ride including the skip-the-line for Sagrada Família plus an hour for lunch. Will seek out Fat Tire in every city we visit from now on. I would definitely recommend this tour in Barcelona!

Great way to visit a city

  • 3/5 Martha I. 4 years ago on Google
Bikes a nice way to complement a walking tour but our guide was not very knowledgeable and we covered a lot of areas with no commentary. A 1+ hour stop for food is built into the tour; I would have preferred a shorter tour with a much quicker "snack" spot versus a sit down meal so early into the evening. Paled in comparison to bike tours in Paris and Luxembourg.

Great way to learn about Barcelona. Our guide Heidi was funny and informative. The ride was comfortable - not too long. The bike was well-maintained, although I found the steering to be too sensitive. But then, that's probably down to personal preference. Overall, a good experience.

I found this tour through Viator, and it was such a great tour through the city! Heidi was our guide and did a great job. We had a small group of 7, and she made sure nobody got lost or left behind. There's a good mix of biking and stopping to learn about the city. My favorite spots were of course Sagrada Familia and the beach, but I loved the whole experience, and compared to other bike tours, I thought this one was the best value for sure.

Jemma was wonderful!!! I learned more about the city, its history, and special facts in 4 hours than I did in the whole 7 days I was in Barcelona last. She was welcoming, kind, knowledgeable, and so patient. Next time I’m in town, I’ll no doubt do another tour with her again. Thanks so much Jemma! ?

We went on this bike tour about a week ago and it was such a perfect way to get to know Barcelona in a short period of time. Gemma was our guide and was absolutely fantastic. She did a wonderful job explaining everything, making sure that we all were comfortable on the bikes and bike paths, managing the group and time and was just an overall delight. Definitely ask for Gemma when going on the tour because she is the epitome of a perfect guide.
