Disfrutar is solely about the experience. Your meal begins with a tour of the restaurant. After seating, you receive a paper with a "menu" of adjectives describing the food. Unfortunately, the food itself is horrific. So bad, in fact, the my fiancée and I left after just 8 of the 25-or-so courses. Some major faults were frigid "sorbets" that left our teeth sensitive for hours, a tastless mango slice, excessive use of olive oil, inedibly chewy bread (think stale supermarket-style), and an unseasoned fried egg yolk. I've had the privilege to dine at about 50 Michelin-starred restaurants, several of which were not great. Disfrutar's food is indescribably worse than those "not great" restaurants. The staff still had the audacity to charge almost €100 / person and made little effort to hear our concerns or rectify the experience. Don't get lured by the hype. Stay away.

Unforgetable experience! We had the Disfrutar classic menu with wine pairing. The food was delicious except the pigeon. However, some of the wine choices were not good at all. The service was extraordinary, like a well choreographed performance. The ambience is a bit sterile, all white and lacking character.

After having been exposed to the top restaurants of the world from childhood, raised by extreme foodies, Disfrutar is in a class of its own. This was hands down, the best meal I’ve ever had in my life. I do not say that lightly. Every dish has you captivated in absolute astonishment, forcing you to question everything that you have ever considered food or a dining experience. Unpretentious, absolute wonder in every bite, simply amazing. Michelin star restaurant after Michelin star restaurant, Disfrutar is on a completely different level FAR above all the rest. It’s almost hard to write a review grand enough to properly honor the treasure that is this place. Absolutely extraordinary, culinary genius. Thank you for bringing your art to this world. So grateful to have been there and hope to someday return.

Currently rank #5 but their gastronomy technique & creativity will secure them #1 in the next 3 years. Service was great but wasn't exceptional and the wine pairing game have some catching up to do. Disfrutar chefs are pushing the boundary of gastronomy. Can't wait to see what they create in the future. A must for all gastronomy fans who are visiting Catalonia ...or Spain or Europe!

Absolutely incredible experience. We were lucky enough to have the 'Living Table' experience in the private room through the wine cellar. This was hands down the best meal I've had in the world. 🙏 Thank you so much for the humbling experience and service. I hope I get to come back sometime in the near future.

Where to begin. The service was second to none, I felt like a royalty in this place. The waiters were so lovely and on top of everything. The food was excellent, I’m quite a picky eater and they accommodated without any fuss whatsoever. We had the wine pairing and even came home with a bottle for ourselves. Totally recommend this place for an amazing experience. Yes, it’ll break the several banks 😅 but for a one off experience totally recommended!

The food is good, but not that amazing as the hype says. But what really was a let down was the service. They could just have prerecorded it and hit the play button each time they delivered food. It is so many techniques involved in making this food and we learned nothing about that. I tried to comment on one of the dishes and what I got back was a waiter that was shocked that I could criticize the food. And this place have two rooms, one large and open nice with a lot of light and the one we ended up in dark small in the hallway.

This was the most amazing, fun, entertaining, and educational eating experience I've ever had. I initially tried to get reservations months before we traveled to Barcelona, and there were no openings. The restaurant was completely booked for the two days we were going to be in the city at both seating times. About 3 days before we were to arrive in Barcelona I got a phone call asking if we were still interested in going to the restaurant because they had an opening. We were so thrilled that we were going to get to go. When we arrived, we were quickly seated and introduced to one of our servers who would be attending us on our 28 course journey! The sommelier also helped us pick a wine that we would enjoy throughout all courses. The wine itself was not too pricey at all. We loved how the servers approached us with an explanation of each course, how to eat it if there were special instructions, and explained to us what the item consisted of. One of our party wanted to do the vegetarian option, and they accommodated her. She loved all of her courses as well. The creativity is stunning. We arrived at approximately 1:15 and left around 4 pm. This should be considered much more than a meal ... it is a truly unique experience! We decided that we were going to come back in 10 years and do it again! The food was fabulous as were the staff. A really fun and enjoyable afternoon at Disfrutar!

Booked Disfrutar 1 year in advance to celebrate my birthday with family and friends and dining at this year's top 2 restaurant in the world has been an unforgettable and the most memorable experience. To the Disfrutar team, thank you so much for exceeding our expectations and raising the bar! Our group of 7 were to fly in Barcelona and I was concerned with communicating since I didn't have roaming but I was so impressed with how Andreas clarified all pertinent info including kind of menu, reservation, food restrictions a week before we left Canada. When we arrived, we got to tour the place and met the team. The table was like a stage and the 28 courses artistically presented. Laura and other colleagues took turns explaining each dish to us as well as challenging our senses to heighten our gastronomic experience. Our lunch took 4 hours but it didn't feel like it. They had a really great atmosphere, welcoming and not snooty. Not only did they have excellent food but service topnotch. A bit pricey but worth it! Make sure you reserve in advance.

If I could give them 6 stars I would (let's just say the 6th one is reserved for their upcoming third Michelin star). The experience was absolute nirvana - the care that the staff provides is unparalleled, my partner was unfortunately having a mild reaction to the alcohol residuals in the pairings and the whole team cared for her like you would care for a family member. Surprise and mystique are always part of the experience in such a restaurant, but the trio at Disfrutar takes it one step further. Each technique, while complex and appreciable sans rien, serves to exemplify the dinning experience rather than shock unnecessarily. For those with a more developed palate I would recommend the festival menu as it contains much of the highlights from the classic and experiments more with flavour profiles and textures. The classic is of course a phenomenal, well paced and refined experience that explores Spanish classics in a new light with a few dishes inspired by Japanese and French country-side cuisine. The wine pairing provides the perfect supplement to each dish (complementary rather than individualistic), you'll find some choices such as the Sake that will surprise even the most well-versed drinker with exceptionally broad choices of vintages. Nirvana is honestly what I would use to summarize my experience at Disfrutar. Here's to many more years of such exceptionalism. Muchos Gracias. P.S. the images are NOT every course as some could be considered "spoilers" in my opinion, the menus are 23-28 courses. Some are from the festival and some from the classic, wines will look the same regardless of a picture - trust the sommelier(s).

Absolutely 10/10. We weren’t always fans for creative cuisines in the past, and honestly didn’t do too much research before booking it (only know it is world no. 2), so we didn’t know what we were getting into, but man, what an amazing experience! Since it’s our first time, we chose the classic tasting menu at 255€. Not only were we impressed by the creativity, thinking and craft that went into the menu, but also the fact that there were 28 courses! It might actually be a bit difficult to finish all courses just because it’s sooo much food, but it’s definitely a great value for money on all fronts - food, service and the vibe. The patio they had in the back is really cute and we enjoyed our desserts there. One little drawback is the cocktails. This is definitely not their strong suit, so I guess we will try wine pairing next time. The menu ranges from oysters, foie gras, to pigeon. The experience beats most if not all of our fine dining experiences in nyc, and would absolutely come back again!

Such an incredible experience. The service is impeccable. The wine pairing , spot on. The presentation of the dishes is pure art and the flavours and textures theatre in your mouth. A once in a lifetime experience, I hope to be fortunate enough to repeat. A gem in Barcelona & deserves

Disfrutar has been one of the most enjoyable dinning experiences I have ever had. Not only are they a 2 Michelin star restaurant with amazing food, but they are friendly, exciting, and innovative. There are so many surprises and twists in the tasting menu. I highly, highly recommend the drink pairing to accompany the tasting menu. They compliment each other so well. It is not just wine, but liquor and other drinks, as well. We had so much fun during our dinner. I would visit again without hesitation.

It’s an experience …that makes you say wow. Definitely a 5+ star impeccable service, very different food presentation, it will be impressive to even the most experienced palate, it’s not food , rather art at its finest! full course is extremely well portioned to the point you will not be hungry while driving back home. Our 11 year old boy was very impressed with his special kids menu ( attached 3 pictures).

A place with a very beautiful atmosphere, especially the terrace in a separate area surrounded by plants. nice relaxing lighting, subtle music sound. Charismatic chefs and a team in perfect cooperation with each other. Creations inspired by traditional cuisine in their own well-known way. The journey begins from the moment you enter the space, perfect service where the guest has the option to express the flow time he wishes between the dishes.you feel special since for each guest there are wine options with or without alcohol. the same wine in 2 variations. with or without. a unique experience with mystery, pleasure, enjoyment in all its glory. Congratulations disfrutar

It was an amazing gastronomic experience where food is an art! We chose the classic menu. We took about 4 hours, but time passed very quickly. Our compliments to the chefs and service staff 👏The food was innovative, creative, well balanced and delicious. I totally recommend being in Barcelona💯 But don’t forget to reserve a table in advance✨

We originally had booked in main dining area, but because of another party's cancellation, they moved us to kitchen table. We probably shouldve said something because we explicitly did not want kitchen table. Our friends hadn't really been in kitchen before, so we went with it. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, some were quite intricate preparations. Some dishes were a bit heavy, and fairly big portions despite the number of dishes. I appreciated the work, the effort, and art. The creativity did not take away from taste, truly magnificent and grateful to be able to taste. Some of the staff were on their phones during service, and not discreet at all haha. I think one of the chefs may have been bored 😆. One of our dining staff was super friendly and attentive; he had a genuine vibe. Everyone else was either surly or dismissive. One sternly stopped one of our party members from going to the bathroom and stated a dish was coming. She was not happy 😆 Is that typical? I hadnt seen that before, and we've dined at a few places. I think despite our slightly off experience with service, still recommend folks go -- the food was great, and the wines we got were amazing. Also recommend sitting in the main dining area; kitchen area is isolating, and feel trapped (lol). Walking through the wine cellar to bathroom was cool though.

Best restaurant in the world, in my opinion. From start to finish they delivered food and experiences that were professional, enjoyable and impressive. In terms of booking, you may need to reserve one year in advance or get lucky by calling and/or booking when there is a last minute cancellation.

As many others have already said, i am not original at all, the name of the restaurant explains exactly what you are going to do there: "Disfrutar" ("Enjoy"). It's a well-deserved two Michelin stars restaurant where you can enjoy of awesome dishes where a lot of things are not what they seem. A place to undoubtedly visit again.

This was the second time coming here for Chris. For Tiffany her first. Upon arrival the service staff takes you on a lovely guided tour of the restaurant. The grand room is something to behold, crisp white, tall ceilings, and beautiful foliage. After viewing this magical space they guided us back to the entrance and sat us in an area that looked like pre seating or perhaps a cocktail area. I’d have to say that this was a devastating downfall to what would have been a near perfect experience. There was no mention of the second seating area upon reservation, had we known we would have rescheduled or canceled altogether. It was like being shown a bright shiny toy and then taking it away to replace it with a dull old penny. Ambience is a huge factor with Michelin restaurants and this small sad area (in comparison to the grand room) nearly ruined the whole experience. The food was of course exquisite and the service to match. Yet we left almost sad that we paid the same as the guests in the grand space for half the experience.

Disfrutar's Michelin #2 ranking of top restaurants in the world is well deserved. The stories and inspirations behind each dish of the €255 28-course set menu were well explained before they were artistically presented by well-trained service staff. Every dish is a gastromic surprise and delight. The menu captures your imagination and the dishes titillate your taste buds. See pic of the menu attached in this review I also chose the €125 wine pairing for my meal - see pic of the wine list in this review. There was a variety of alcohol offered that paired brilliantly with the dishes to accentuate the flavours - truffle vodka, aged sake, wines (red/white, mostly from Spain). The sommelier took pains to provide detailed info of each wine served. My review may not do justice to the meal. Hopefully my pictures do.

Very unique experience. Some of the most surprising and creative dishes you're going to try, that you probably won't get anywhere else. A lot of the dishes are "something else", using unexpected ingredients and some crazily laborious technique. There's plenty of bites, I particularly liked the Gilda, the multi-spherical pesto, the unique carbonara, the fish... While all in all it's worth going at least once, for the steep price there are some things that could be better: - the dining room is a bit packed, you're sitting fairly close to other tables - the menu is a bit too long. I was pretty full by the time the desserts arrived. Moreover, I think some bites are a bit too much show and not enough flavor. I could do with a shorter menu that focuses on the ones that combine the tastiness and the novelty Extremely popular place, be prepared to book long in advance and pick a non-weekend day.

Exceptional techniques are displayed during the meal of 28 courses. The whole experience is a marvel of logistics that flows so well. You will really feel that you are a guest at the Disfrutar family's table. What I did miss a bit was maybe a bit more focus on the exceptionally high quality ingredients, the star of the dishes did sometimes get lost behind all excellent technics used. The wine pairing was bold and really complemented the dishes. It was a marvelous experience.

To this day almost three years ago it is still my best culinary experience ever. Compared to other Michelin starred restaurants I’ve been to; Disfrutar is not overly complicating it in terms of tastes. They take well known and proven combinations and mix them up with amazing presentation skills and the creativity is impressive. I will be back one day 🤩

Randomly put us on the wait list during our time I'm Barcelona and they reached out and got us in! Wow. This is truly an experience from start to finish. Crazy attention to detail and the staff is phenomenal. The food is out of this world unlike anything I've tried before, I think we had like 28 courses or something. They were also able to accommodate 2 different dietary restrictions at the table I took a picture of every single dish (except 1!) and some things I tried were truly mind blowing(the green olive, whattttt?!) If you can make it happy (financially and reservations) do it.

What an incredible dining experience! From the moment we walked in with the tour of the restaurant and an opportunity to meet the incredible Head Chef, to the final coffee in the terrace, this is one meal I will never forget. Definitely well deserving of the 3 stars!

Amazing experience! 2 star Michelin restaurant, rated #3 in the world by San Pellegrino, this restaurant does not stop to surprise for a moment. We went for the classic tasting menu, comprised of about 28! dishes and shared a wine pairing of 11 glasses. Sat there for 4.5 hours which passed in an instant with every moment filled with great food and excellent service. Food was inspired by Catalan and Spanish cuisine, molecular dishes from interesting ingredients and special methods of preparation. Some of my favorite dishes was the caviar and sour cream filled pastry, fake bread gazpacho and pasta carbonara, but there were so many more. Price was very high, over 600 euros for 2 people, but this is an experience of a lifetime. We recommend!

What a wonderful experience! Unlike other fine dining, that sacrifices taste for the same of innovation, Disfrutar delivers stellar scores on both. The dishes challenged my ideas of food textures but at the same time stay true to the ingredients they represent. Be prepared to commit 4 hrs dining time and pay a hefty price tag but I 100% recommend to visit.

As we travel we have done our best to work through the list of the top 50 restaurants in the world. We had requested a reservation months ago to Disfrutar, No.5 but there was no availability so we were added to a waiting list. We were so glad when only a few days after arriving in Barcelona, Spain we received an email for an opportunity to join them for dinner this week. Our 30 course dinner is shared here in this post, I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed the experience. Being number 5 is a testament to the consistently mind-blowing nature of its gastronomic offer, which has been described as ‘a thrilling rapid-fire, roller-coaster ride of a dining experience’. 🥘❤️🙏🍴 Chefs Oriol Castro, Mateu Casañas and Eduard Xatruch did an amazing job and we were so thankful for this opportunity. #top50restaurants #barcelona2023 #spain2023 #disfrutarrestaurant

Disfrutar is an awesome fine dining restaurant in Barcelona. The whole dining experience is excellent. The decoration is quite "simple" and elegant. The staff is very friendly (as they are supposed to be in this kind of restaurants) without being too much on top of you.

After waiting six long months, the night of my reservation finally came. Disfrutar, translated as "to enjoy" in English, as a truly enjoyable experience. I went with the classic menu's full offering with the wine pairing. For me, the pairing was a bit much and I was a little too drunk by the end of the meal. There were lots of funky sakes and fortified wines, not my favorite drinks by far, but the way they paired was incredible. My favorite dish had to be the Beluga filled bao. The service was incredible and personable, and the utensils and place settings were top-notch. It's not a meal I would come back to as there are so many other top restaurants to try, but it is certainly one I would recommend.

We've been fortunate to have dined at a few of the top rated restaurants in the world, and Disfrutar is right at the top. This is a restaurant still striving for excellence and not resting on any laurels. The creativity to the dishes, friendliness and competence of the staff and deliciousness of the food all make this a tremendous place.

Awesome, awesome food. Loved sitting at the bar and having a dedicated person walk you through each and every plate. Definitely worth crossing the Atlantic for. I highly recommend Disfrutar if you're looking for an upstanding and stellar dining experience. I will be back BCN! recommend this place

Awesome, awesome food. Loved sitting at the bar and having a dedicated person walk you through each and every plate. Definitely worth crossing the Atlantic for. Savory walnut candy with mango, tonka beans, and whisky - this was really flavorful. Presentation was also beautiful. highly recommend

Awful awful customer service. I reserved for valentines day more than 2 months prior. They were accepting dinner reservations even though there are Covid restrictions. Now they can't do dinner service but they wait until 7 days before my reservation to call me and cancel on me and offer no solution. They fully book for the lunch service, and give me no options. A very special evening during a very difficult year has been completely destroyed by their lack of respect for customers. 7 days? 7 days before the reservation and they cancel? And now it's impossible to get anything anywhere else. I will never ever ever consider dining at this restaurant for the way I've been treated. Be careful with this restaurant because it's clear that your business means nothing to them. I won't be sad when they are closed for good.

Waiting to repeat to try the other menu. The dishes prepared at the moment, very well done and with great flavor contrasts. The pairing goes well with each accompanying dish. And best of all, the treatment of each and every one of the team. Very good job, and a very good restaurant.

food was terrific however some desserts were a bit bland and boring except for how they looked. the sans alcohol drinks menu is what made our experience truly amazing, you’ve got to try it if you take a visit! but paying 700 eur for two persons to sit beside some kind of table the servers constantly used to to get cutlery and glasses ruined the experience somewhat.

Two “olives” are placed in front of me. One black, one green. They are glossy with olive oil and a sprinkling of salt. However, nothing is as it seems at Barcelona’s hottest new restaurant Disfrutar.

(Translated by Google) A highly recommended restaurant. Surprising, imaginative and varied dishes, made with high quality products. The premises could be improved. The service is excellent and hassle free. In Covid’s time I find it would cost nothing to take the temperature on entering. It's not the fault of the establishment but right next door I had a person who kept talking on the cell phone with a pretty bad manners of work things, too bad. (Original) Un restaurant altament recomanable.
