I always say I'll try anything once, but I was skeptical about "enjoying" Vegan sushi. My world was rocked when I tried my first piece! Upon entry, you are greeted with a modern, yet sleek vibe. This compliments the menu very well. All is wrapped up neatly for you in a perfect package and presented with class. A perfect stop for just a quick bite, or full on dining experience.

I've wanted to come and try this place for a long time, and finally got to it. The place is nice and cossy, and everything is vegan so... What else could be better. We liked all the things we tried and the sushi was great! Also the "popcorn" was surprisingly good, as the brownie. I'll be back for sure, I still have to try it all.

Service sitting outside was really bad. Took forever to get food and server forgot about some of our order. Maybe service sitting inside is better. Found many of the good dishes like popcorn cauliflower were fried. Geisha sushi was good but was 15€ for 8 pieces. Most rolls are in that range, which is a bit expensive for what you get. Wouldn’t recommend.

Having examined the menu we decided to take the tasting menu however on reflection it reduces your actual choice and does not really save any money over choosing individual dishes.. my advice is to choose what you want in a tapas style eating experience and you will not be disappointed.

My absolute favourite place we visited whilst in Barcelona, we visited twice whilst on our 5 day trip. Nice staff, amaaaaaazing food, especially the heüra Karaage, the sauce they drizzle on the padron peppers and the jumpin jack sushi. Loved it.

These people deserve an applause. I’ve been fantasizing about plant based sushi for years and this place just blew my mind. Wonderful staff, amazing interior and the food is exquisite. Keep doing what you’re doing Team R&R, the future is looking bright.

Beautiful and delicious food! 🥰 Plant based dinners do not need to be boring ever again! We had the sushi sampler and the cheesecake and both were fantastic! We also had an appetizer I didn’t remember the name but it’s like chick’n bites and it was so good!!

Wow, what a special place. Without a doubt the best vegan sushi I’ve ever had, I’ll definitely be coming back. I had the “Say Cheese” roll (plant-based cream cheese with dill, asparagus, pickled carrot, teriyaki shiitake & black rice) and the popcorn cauliflower—both were incredible. The house made hibiscus tea was very special too. Keep up the amazing creations 🙌

Super comfy place to have a solo dinner. The bao buns were my favorite. I ordered a lot to try things. I also enjoyed the carrots roll and the Roots Sour cocktail. The “popcorn” cauliflower was okay I read tons of reviews saying it was bomb, but it was just okay for me.

Absolutely delicious food! We did the Luxe tasting menu for 59€ and it was great! Go hungry as there is SO much food. Really creative and delicious. Service was friendly and wine great. Highly recommended

Absolutely recommend! During our week long holiday in Barcelona, me and my partner visited Roots & Rolls 3 times! We absolutely loved the food there, great vegan food! The staff were so friendly, service was also super quick! I couldn’t fault our visits! The only disappointing part was knowing that the restaurant is so far from home!

My husband and I visited Roots & Rolls last week and we were pleasantly surprised. We had a reservation for 7:30pm and we were welcomed by very friendly staff and were told we could sit anywhere. We sat inside the main dining area and scanned the QR code on the table for menu. There is plenty of choice with a range of sides, starters, sushi rolls and noodles, plus many more. They even have a taster menu if you’re not sure what you want to give you a sample of everything. We ordered the Karaage, Rollitos, Popcorn Cauliflower, Nigiri and Pad Thai. Without a shadow of a doubt, the nigiri was the best I’ve ever had. Textures were perfect, flavours were incredible. It was like joy in my mouth. I was overwhelmed. We spent about £60 for all our food, including cocktails and it was well worth the money. We loved it so much that we visited again before leaving Barcelona and sampled even more of the menu. We're back home now and I'm already missing the nigiri!

We tried the tasting menu and every single dish was delicious. We also had cocktails on the side, and they were equally nice. Definitely recommend coming hungry, since the portions were generous. The venue is really nice and has good ambiance, so very happy with our choice.

We can't say enough about this very special restaurant where we held our vow renewal ceremony on June 15th. From our calls from Toronto to make the arrangements through to the ceremony and the dinner following the ceremony, Sandra went above and beyond to make this a day to remember. Not only did she rearrange the restaurant to accommodate our ceremony prior to opening for dinner, she arranged all of the decorations and acted as our unofficial photographer. We chose the larger tasting menu and everyone in our family (vegans and non-vegans) loved the dishes. Our favourites were the "chicken" and the sushi rolls. Anyone celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great meal, Roots & Rolls should be at the top of the list!!!

This place exceeded expectations! The staff was so friendly and accommodating, even when I called last minute to change our reservation. I came with a vegetarian friend and this was my first time trying vegan sushi. To me it tasted so similar to the real thing, and the ingredients were fresh and beautifully plated. Great experience!

Beautiful and nice place, good music, the dishes looks amazing, but we couldn't finish the food because all the dishes were very sour for some reason... and we came hungry... it's a shame because there is a lot of potential..

Very nice vegan restaurant. Their Pad Thai was super tasty, great drinks, but I think the sushi would have been better with normal sushi rice. Good service!

Very tasty and you got what is on the photos. The presentation,service and the decor is outstanding and well laid out. Defo place to visit if you are looking for 5Star vegan food. Chocolate dessert was nice but not too sure of the cheesecake. Me u is clearly mark d with allergens details.

Me and my partner came for a meal here on our last day of holiday in Barcelona and I was absolutely blown away by our entire experience. Best sushi I have ever had both before being vegan and as a vegan. So inventive and unique and fresh, like nothing I’ve had before - a total experience. Staff were wonderful and accommodating and again I can’t tell you how amazing you food was. Would recommend to anyone!

One of the best vegan restaurants around. While I was visiting the area, I ran into this restaurant on accident and ended up eating with them on 3 different occasions as it was so good! Elsa and Sergi were fabulous and helpful in suggestions and service! It is one of the best vegan restaurants for its service, food and the atmosphere! Would return again and again!

Outstanding vegan food!! The Geisha sushi and the cauliflower popcorn were especially good but the choc avo brownie with vanilla ice cream was next level 😮😍😍 Never thought I’d taste such an amazing vegan brownie. Will definitely be coming back here next time we’re in Barcelona (which won’t be long I hope!)

You need to go there when you are in Barcelona! This was an experience. I can say it's already in the top 5 restaurants I've ever been to, definitely the best sushi restaurant. The sushi creations are very extraordinary and unique. I ordered the sushi tasting and I really recommend doing that. You will get a very various offer of completely different tastes. Everything is fresh and has a great quality. The staff is super kind. In my opinion the prices are absolutely okay for the great offer.

I just arrived in Barcelona. Weary from Travelling and looking for some good food for my first night in this bustling city. I stumbled upon Roots and Rolls after the tapas place my hotel recommended seemed too crowded. So this happy accident turned into a culinary experience of perfection. I had the mushroom gyoza and Roasted carrots maki roll. And then i over indulged by having the avocado brownie with coconut ice cream. I am Not A die hard vegan but would easily eat vegan all the time with food this good. I was blown away. And it was a welcome Change from Mediterranean food I have been eating for weeks now. This place has cute decor and everything is organic and fresh. Service was also great. I felt very comfortable dining on my own. Definitely a must in dining experience.

Amazing. First night in Barcelona. Wife googled for vegan hoping to find something good that would take us. Amazing. Geisha rolls were great. I loved the BAO buns too. Would definitely come back. Espresso martini was good too. Service super friendly.

Such a great vegan spot! Loved the cauliflower popcorn, spring rolls and all the sushi rolls. Must check this place out and enjoy the cool 3 phase ambience.

Absolutely fantastic! This is the first place we came to in Barcelona (being very hungry), and it was wonderful. The food is top notch, so fresh and delicious. I can't believe the desserts are vegan, you would never know! The artwork is brilliant too, and the staff are very friendly. We had gyoza to start, hiyashi noodle salad as a main, and two puddings to share, and it was around €25 each (including a tip), which I think is very reasonable considering how tasty everything was. I hope we can come back again some time.
