Dear Reader, please read to SAVE TIME and MONEY!!! This company is a pure scam. We paid 85€ per person to go on a boat for 9 hours and stop at Quinta Roeda at 6pm to spend exactly 30 min in a vineyard which we didn’t even have time to visit, and just to sip on a glass of Porto wine. We didn’t have much explanation nor teaching about the Douro Valley and even less about the vineyards. We left at around 7pm by bus to go back to Porto. After 20min our bus stopped because of some issues with the motor. We then waited for 3 HOURS without any information in the middle of nowhere until a mechanic arrived to fix the issue. They didn’t want to send another bus to take us home so we had no choice than to wait in the middle of nowhere at night, where of course, no taxi nor bolt nor Uber was even available. We arrived at Porto at 00.30 am instead of 9.30pm. You’d be better off taking the car and driving along the valley by yourself. Not to mention that the food on the boat was disgusting and we had one bottle of water to share for 4 people.

Bought tickets and informed them of my diet. When checking on board no record of my allergy. Staff on board were less then helpful. Didn’t see a smile from the staff while on board. Wine tasting was a waste of money and time. In top of that our return bus broke down and we were delayed for over three hours. No help or consideration was shown by the company.

Nice long cruise down the Douro River. We had a nice breakfast and lunch. We took the long trip, which included the Port winery. It was a 12 hour trip, including the bus back. My recommendation is to take the shorter trip and forego the Port tasting which wasn't really worth it. Considering what you get, the price of about 80 Euros is very reasonable. Also, note that it is about 5 Euros cheaper to book directly with the cruise company than with a tourist agent.

They operate a Douro River cruise upto Regua. The cruise includes breakfast and lunch. The cruise and the services on board are simply fantastic. The cruise served a sumptuous lunch including beget for us and good wine. On way the cruise navigated through two Dams. We booked our tickets through Living tours. The technician Antonio who booked our tickets told us wrong boarding place on Gaia side. When we checked through net and found it be on Porto side, we again visited the Living Tour. He again insisted on wrong place. Fortunately for us someone guided us 10 minutes before departure otherwise we were certain to miss our cruise.

We took the trip Porto-Pinhao-Porto for 13 hours. Fraud, no more, no less... Sitting here and cooking in the boat; some guests opened the door and the staff, including the Manager, refused to close the door. So, the air conditioning is not working, it's super hot inside and there are kids that can't breath anymore. The lunch served was a lot, but once the lunch time is over they take everything from the table, including juice & wine. Some staff members are really nice, but you have others that are arrogant and tired of their work. Only 15 minutes at the vineyard, ONLY!!! You spend hours to get to experience it and o ly when ypu arrived you're tolld it will be 15 minutes of visit. For 85 euros, I think one can find better options to rest and experience Portugal. As mentioned in the previous review - it's a fraud, do not waste your time on that! Tge wine degustation?! 1 small glass of wine.... The cruise is too long with no music/entertainment on board. To note: if you're away during drinks -coffee surving, you have to buy those at the bar. The seats on the top are available based on the rule: 1st come-1st serve.

I went on the full day tour and feel like we got ripped off by a cynical cash grab. It was unbearably boring. No tour guide or active communication, no stops or opportunities to walk around, just sitting on a boring boat with no entertainment (even canned music) for hours. Yeah, the Douro was gorgeous, but feel like I basically watched a film of it by seeing it this way. Really unsatisfactory experience.

We booked the Porto/Pinhão/Porto tour for €89 per person. You are being welcomed very nicely with breakfast and friendly personnel. The food and toilets both are fine, but the boat ride is very long and the scenery is beautiful but the same for most of the ride. Lunch is served at 12 and after that you get nothing. We tried to buy some snacks and drinks on board, but they did not accept bank cards (only cash). This was stated nowhere beforehand, so we had to spend 8 hours without any food or drink. When I asked for a simple bottle of water, the personnel was not happy to help me. The visit to the wine estate was very short, and not worth the long ride. If you want to go on this trip, take into consideration that it’s a long day and bring some extra drinks and snacks (or cash!).

Very disappointed in the river cruise. There is a line to convert the Expedia voucher to a ticket. Then a line to get on the boat. Once on the boat we went about 150 meters up the river and then stopped. The automatic audio tour continued to take about things that we were not seeing, because we had stopped. We then turned back and went to the other shore of the river to pick up more people (the audio tour continued). This took about 15 minutes to load people from the the shore basically opposite of where we started. We then quickly rushed up the river with the automatic audio tour starting again. We didn't make it to the farthest bridge before touring around again to head back. The audio tour was off again. The rushed us back to shore to drop us off and then they headed to the opposite shore to drop the others off. So the actual time on the river cruise was about 30 minutes, the audio tour was off sequence, and we didn't see what was promised.

A good way to spend €15 for a 50 minutes cruise - a nice time to enjoy this city from the river.

Review Absolutely shocking experience!!! We were seated in a middle table on the lower deck when there were at least 12 window tables on the upper deck vacant for the entire cruise. The upper viewing deck has woefully inadequate seating for the number of people on board. (200 plus). It is hot and there is no shade. It is really not possible to be on the top deck in the sun the full 9 hours of cruise time! You are not allowed to move to sit at a window seat even after the lunch service.. The staff are incredibly rude!!! There is absolutely NO customer service!!! Try to complain and you get shrugged shoulders and complete indifference to outright rudeness. Breakfast consists of a bread roll, pastry, jam, butter and small piece of chocolate cake. With cheap orange juice and coffee or tea. Lunch was a vegetable soup to start. The main course was pork, mixed vegetables, rice and potatoes. Not too awful, but no choice at all and at no point were dietary requirements asked or considered. Followed by chocolate mouse for dessert. Not awful, but definitely not worth the money. The toilet situation is dire with several toilets out of order from the beginning of the trip. A trip to the loo became an increasingly unpleasant experience with every hour. When you eventually get to Pinhoã, the wine tour, while interesting lasts all of 15 minutes with one glass of wine to sample. Then you are back on a bus for a 2 hour coach ride back to Porto. All in a very long day, hours of boring monotonous sitting with nothing to see. And it is not a cheap day out. Complete lack of respect from the staff who all quite honestly looked just as unimpressed to be there!! Avoid this tourist trap and spend your money on something more worthwhile!

We did the full day cruise and for us it made sense because we had two seniors as well as two toddlers and they enjoyed the boat ride as well as the bus. But the full day trip was too long. All in all it took us 12hours to get back home. They served breakfast and lunch aboard since it was the whole day. The breakfast was meh.. To say the least with a poor choice of food. The lunch was much better overall. The ride was up the douro river starting at Porto passing through 2 dams. If you are travelling with kids there are no easy parking options nearby and you will have to shell out 25€ for the day at the nearest parking garage. On the way back you have to take the bus, but the bus does not drop you back at the starting point or near it. That would've been good to know so thst we could've made other parking arrangements. Apart from that the cruise was OK. Nothing to rant about but over all an expensive day.

Horrific experince, there were no air conditioning with a heat of 35 degrees, nobody told us about that, so you find out about it when you are on board and can’t leave anymore. They didn’t even give for free water. Never again, please don’t waste your time, choose smth better or try it when is colder outside.

Boat ride was nice and well worth the price. Boat employees could have been friendly. But it gets a 3 star review because the P.A. system did not work on the outside (bow) of the vessel. So no audio tour. Unacceptable.

The 6 bridges cruise ride is good and relaxing, however, too bad they only play a recording in Portuguese about the bridges in general. If they could provide an audio guide in a few other languages even at a slightly higher fare, then it will greatly enhance the experience.

We really liked this cruise up the river from Porto. The crew needs to on board more efficiently, but once on, we had a relaxing and enjoyable day with good food and pleasant company.

We took a day trip from Porto to Pinhao and back by bus, a whole day trip.I had to post a review because I almost missed a great experience by taking in consideration the bad reviews about this company. I littely sat on the side contemplating whether to get on the boat or not the morning of. So glad I decided to take a chance. It was 5 stars from start to finish. What in the world did others experience? I don't know. The boat was big enough to accommodate everyone. We we're served breakfast and lunch. Orange juice, wine, water and dessert. After the service we could choose to go on the top floor or stay inside, with air conditioning. The bus ride back was efficient and I found it fast. Excellent driver. This route is not for the fainted heart...it is steep and high. All in all great experience.

I wouldn’t recommend this company for a boat tour in Porto. We booked tickets online for the 6 bridges tour under the impression that the boats left every 30 minutes as described in our confirmation email. It turned out that it wasn’t the case. We missed the 10:00 a.m. and had to wait for the 11:00 a.m. which was fine. The onboarding process was a mess and was not organized. Additionally, there were two docked boats that we didn’t board and instead waited for 20-25 minutes for a third to pull up. A few people got off and then we boarded a half full boat. The tour itself left a lot to be desired. It’s just a recording in several languages that plays and talks about the sights you’re seeing and the bridges. It was hard to hear at times and didn’t provide a lot of information. We were expecting a narrated tour by a live guide. Once we saw the bridges, we docked on the other side of the river. We weren’t aware that we’d be docking on a different side as there was no introduction or information provided when we got on. We immediately got off the boat despite no instructions. Overall, this was a really disappointing experience and wasn’t like what we’ve experienced with similar tours elsewhere. Save your time and money and don’t book the 6 bridges tour with this company.

You are detained for hours on a boat and in a bus. There is no entertainment or information. You will not learn something, not talk to people from the region. You will not visit wine cellars and not the towns. We did not get an audio guide. The crew is very polite. We just didn't expect to sit around from 8 until 17 o'clock left alone. We just booked the wrong trip had had no to little information when we booked in a Ticket Office™.

Having recently embarked on this cruise, I feel compelled to share my experience with others who may be considering this adventure. From the moment we stepped on board, the meticulous organization was evident. The crew displayed a commendable sense of responsibility, ensuring every passenger felt comfortable and taken care of. They were not only professional but also immensely helpful, ready to assist at a moment's notice. The highlight, undeniably, was the breathtaking view. The panoramic spectacle that unfolded around us was one for the books, truly a feast for the eyes. There was something incredibly soothing about cruising along, enveloped in the natural beauty. However, a slight disappointment was the food quality. While it's understandable that catering to a large crowd presents its challenges, there's definitely room for improvement in this area. The food wasn't terrible, but it didn't quite live up to the other elements of the trip. A standout feature of the tour was our visit to the Croft Winery. This excursion offered an intriguing peek into the history and the process behind winemaking, which was highly educational and fascinating. My only critique would be that the visit could have been a tad longer to fully appreciate the nuances of the winery. In summary, this cruise offers a well-organized experience, accompanied by a friendly and efficient crew, awe-inspiring views, and an interesting winery tour. It's a great choice if you're in for a relaxing trip with a dash of cultural exploration. Just remember to manage your food expectations, and you're good to go!

Avoid Durro Valey vine tasting trip unless you wish to sit 9hrs at unconfortable boat, spend less than 30 minutes at porto vinery, have one sip of port vine and have another 2 hrs trip by broken bus back to Porto. This is not vine tasting journey.

Desorganized and untrustful company. I bought 2 tickets online and have been provided 2 vouchers. I went to their ticketing office one day before to exchange the voucher with real tickets and they refused to do it telling that the voucher is valid as such at any hour of the day on the booking day. Arriving at the pier on the tour day, they simply told us that the boat is full and that we need to book our seats on the tour for the afternoon. They also informed us that next day is a bank holiday and tours are not going to happen. This was a big problem as the second person couldn't attend later on. And the tickets have been actually pre-paid which means loosing the money. When we went at the ticketing office at 12.00 to complain, it was closed so we have been left with little options. If you pre-pay tickets on any online platform, make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the tour you wish to ensure your seat.

We took the full day trip to Pinhão, expecting to have a nice full day trip to see the Douro valley. Douro valley itself is amazing and the dams are cool, but this tour is probably the worst way to see it. Regarding the food, even though we came with little expectations, we got a huge disappointment. The only dish that was starved for lunch was pork with NO OPTIONS FOR VEGETARIANS, VEGANS or those who AVOID PORK (it's a tourist attraction in the 21st century, how come?!). The responsible staff didn't really care when asked about it. So being promised food for the day we ended up staying hungry and eating lame breakfast and only rice for lunch. The bar onboard accept cash only (so if you are reading this and still going, for some reason, bring cash, you'll need it!), and doesn't have much reasonable snack options. The way is long and tiring with bad air conditioning indoors that doesn't fit the weather. The upper deck is small, and has no cover from the strong summer sun. During the way there are occasional prerecorded short announcements about random sites on the way in 4 languages, but not well enough to call it "a tour", no other entertainment, no music, no WiFi. Upon arriving at Pinhão we were immediately led to buses that took us to the winery, so we didn't see much of the destination we were sailing to for so many hours. At the winery we were led to a corner of a vineyard where the guide quickly spilled the text she remembered by heart, which took 5 minutes, and led us to the winery shop to get a single glass of rose port, and quickly back to the bus to Porto. Summary: Pros - Douro valley is beautiful! And you'll have plenty of time to catch up with your podcasts, with your partner or get those t-shirt tan marks you always wanted. The staff is nice and smiley. Cons - everything else. Did the tour deliver on what was promised? Yes, but in the most cheap and minimal way imaginable and nothing beyond. Would I recommend it to anyone? No. Did it worth 85EUR? No way! I'm not sure I'll be even taking it for free...

Gorgeous view from the river, 10% off when buying from the website (27€ for 2 persons, 50mins)

Beautiful and comfortable. The only ding I give them was to the vineyard. It was very short with only one glass for the tasting, but was a good sample. We barely had time at the gift shop.
