There is a mystic charm of this temple, quite unlike others. For every obstacle or wish list there is a vayivadu ( coconut). Would highly recommend a visit.

Not a typical hindu temple. The architecture is bit different. You have to walk down the hill to enter the temple.Free ample car parking space is available and don't have to use the pay and park facility which you might see immediately before reaching the free parking space. Security staffs are so kind and cooperative. Cleanliness at top notch. You have a restaurant right in front of the temple gate but not so premium.

A peaceful and spiritual temple. 'Muttarukkal' a process of breaking coconut is the main Pooja here. Durga or parvathi Devi is the main godess here. There is ambient space for parking. Hotels and small toys or stationary shops are also available here.

It is a famous goddess temple. "The temple is famous for not having an idol, and daily poojas are performed in a hole." Atmosphere is very good. There is ample parking. There are some stalls and hotels nearby. There are clean toilet and bathroom facilities.

Those who are visiting please note. 1. People wearing pants are not allowed inside. 2. Car parking now is very slippery and muddy (due to rain). 3. Some of the steps in the old stair way is slippery, new one seems to be better. 4.

Famous temple near Valanchery, Malappuram district of Kerala. POOMOODAL is the famous devotional offering in this temple. It takes months after booking this offering to come true. Route to the temple is narrow at different areas. Temple premises are well maintained and neat & clean. Thousands of devotees visit this temple every day. Has large parking area but chargeble. Very congested front side. Pooja items are expensive and the steps found slippery. Good place for devotees to visit.

This temple has been renovated with the glory of the deity. It is a great experience to give your offers, mainly " Muttarukkal" breaking the coconut in front Devi for blessings and its been believed your hurdles gone while breaking the coconut in better shape( if it breaks in the round shape, considered as yours problems solved, otherwise the priest will inform you & you can try with another one if you carry sufficient stock of coconuts). Poomoodal.. (covering the deity with full of flowers) is another important offering but there is no dates available for the near future as it has been booked for so many years. Better to touch with the temple authorities.

A place to solve our demands by the Godess... Coconut "MUTTU" is the special Vazhibadu(Prayer)..Since Aadi(Karkadakam) month, quiet alot of Devotees with multiple Coconut offerings were in a queue for hours together to meet a such a powerful God... Huge crowd but pin drop silent..only the sounds of Coconut breaking is in continuous mode. God is Great..

The most divine place one can visit. You will be free of negative thoughts, the temple has a very powerful energy. Meditate for a while if you can. Easy to locate, maintenance is par excellence like any other temple in Kerala. Basic amenities found around the temple. Parking available. Please treat this place as a temple and not as a picnic spot or for your reels content. Mobile photography inside the temple is strictly prohibited.

Very peaceful temple despite the crowd. Seating for coconut breaking offering is really good but not that maintained. There's no place for placing footwear by the management so do it at your own risk.

The origin of Kadampuzha Temple is associated with the Mahabharatha, the ancient Indian myth, considered to be the greatest story ever told. However the temple as such was founded by Shree Shankaracharya and the month he consecrated Kadampuzha Temple, the day of Karthika in the month of Virshchikam (November – December) is the considered the most auspicious day and is celebrated as the festival day. Shree Shankaracharya, during his Deshadanam, a pilgrimage to various parts of the country, came across this place while he was going to Chottanikkara Temple after his Darshan at Mookambika Temple. When he reached the place now known as Kadampuzha, he found that he could not walk cross and that his way was blocked by a Divine Presence. Even with the superior Sight that could “See” or “Understand” Divine presences, he could not fathom it. Perplexed, he meditated to understand why he failed to fathom the Divine Presence and within himself discovered that having attained the “Sarvaknanapeedhom”, his ego had somehow crept in to make him feel superior and that his ego was being shunned by the Divine Presence, making him unable to fathom it. The Divine Saint immediately set about cleaning his mind of any ego and made himself as humble and pure minded as an innocent child. He approached the Divine Presence again with utmost devotion and supplication and immediately perceived what the presence was and wherein it was emanating from. He marvelled at the Divine Presence of the Devi very strongly bonded with the Divine Presence of Lord Shiva and decided that the place should be treated with absolute reverence. He discerned that the Divine power is emanating from the hole in the ground and took steps to consecrate the place as a temple and also constituted Lord Narasimha and Sudarshana Chakra in front of the Devi and also decided to place Dharmashasta and Nagakanyaka or either sides of the temple. He also stipulated the poojas and rituals that must be conducted at the temple and these stipulations are followed till date. Devi is worshiped here in three forms. In the mornings she is worshiped as Vidya Durga (Saraswati) bestowing knowledge and excellence in career to all. In the afternoon she is worshiped as Vanadurga (Durga) in the Twaritha Devi form blessing the devotees with health, early marriage, and domestic harmony and in the evening as Aadi Durga (Mooladurga - Lakshmi) bestowing the devotees with wealth and overall prosperity. Here, the self manifested Divine Presence, is worshiped as a presence only. Unlike other temples, Kadampuzha is unique in that there are no idols for the Devi. The origin of the name Kadampuzha is considered to have been formed from; Kadan Ambu Eitha Uzha – meaning, The Place where Kiratha Shot the Arrow. Kadan is Kiratha, Ambu is Arrow, Eitha is Shot and Uzha is Place. There is another version also that deems that this place is ; Kattile Anbin Urava - meaning The spring of compassion in the forest. Kadu is forest, Anbu is compassion and Urava is spring. The name could not have been formed because of a river here since there are none. So either of the two are more apt.

Visited here last Sunday. The place was very crowded. And the que for 'Muttarakkal' was more than two train.Joined the que at 7.00 AM and completed the muttarkkal at 1.30 PM.🥲 The place is very piece full, neat and calm.Because of the crowd there was no place even to sit. For those who coming for muttarkkal try to avoid sundays. Also dont go to the near restaurants of temple, foood is avg and price is 5 star lvl.

Very quiet and powerful place to visit. The deity is divine. The temple is not too time consuming to visit. We can finish the prayers in 1 hour on usual days. Several offerings are believed to be made for all sorts of physical, mental or any problems. Most seems assuring that they are resolved.
