I am not sure why other reviews claim this is a good property. It is on a highway, my room (41) was desperately in need of update and not clean. The grounds are in need of repair, the pool pump loud, and not enjoyable to sit by. Seems more modern at first, but that is not a good thing. Beyond eRegistration and checkout emails, modern ends and a run-down, American-style roadside motel begins. The chairs were so dirty and worn, I would not sit and the front door looked as if it had been broken into multiple times. Bathroom tile was grungy, cracked and toilet had dirty rings. Horrible place inside and out. I also Stayed at Sedia Hotel and StayMorr Guesthouse recently in Maun and they are FAR better properties. Grounds and rooms at Sedia were lovely for a tourist hotel. StayMorr was like a very nice, homey B&B.
Conveniently located along the Main road. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The Thamalakane river runs right behind the hotel, so that creates a scenic view when there is water
Vintage rooms but with an upbeat of modernity to them, right next to the dry riverbed but still wonderful to look at in the rising sun, quiet and sublime with lots of shade, the most splendid people person General Manager and a wonderful staff to back him up. A truly wonderful experience.
