As a regular at the restaurant, I had a query on the measurement of the beverages and found the waitress rather short and rude and somewhat ready to start a fight at the bar, ready to bring the supervisor to admonish a simple question that would have sufficed with a dummy demonstration answer. Let's do better in customer service.
Service was a bit slow, but the food was good
This restaurant and gift shop is just across the street from the Maun Airport. So if you have a wait for your flight go here instead of waiting in the crowded departure lounge. It’s a cozy cafe with good food, laid back atmosphere and a friendly staff. And free WiFi. Both outdoor and indoor seating.
Very nice Restaurant, good food , good coffee. Definitely Recommend.
It is a very lovely place. Food is very good and extremely close to the airport.
Great restaurant! So happy that there are plant based options. And they give you complimentary water which is so thoughtful and kind.
Aanbevolen.
You're a bit of a cornered market when it comes to food and drink around Maun airport and it seems most people flying into the Delta end up here. It's a tourist trap but they do what they do well. Staff are attentive and friendly but expect to share a table at peak times. Prices are fair for what you get and the WiFi and toilets are good. If you've been camping or over-landing in the days and weeks leading up to arriving here then Duck Cafe will be a welcome break.
Expensive
Homemade iced tea and Asian Beef salad are nice options in hot days. Staffs are friendly. It’s filled with tourists during lunch time. The interior design is artistic and there are many lovely souvenirs for sale.
Cute cafe for breakfast or a coffee. Their croissants are amazing, the staff is very nice and they have a cute shop with beautiful local items, like baskets.
A good watering hole adjacent to Maun International AirPort. Balanced between rusticity and romanticism, for visitors from all walks of life. The waiters are attentive, the food dependant on business is served in a timely manner. An in-house memorabilia seller adds to the local safari delta vibe. Worth the visit.
My friends and I found this spot a block away from the airport behind the bush shop building. Its the Perfect spot to kill time before your flight. (The airport is super small!). After customs, youre at the gates. Really delicious food and coffee, wifi, street vendors outside the cafe. They also have a souvenir shop inside as well!
The food in this restaurant is not bad but it is way overpriced for the amount of food provided. My USD 9 smoked salmon scramble was really tiny, the size of a finger sandwich. Location is convenient because it is across the street from the Maun Airport. We grabbed breakfast before our 9:30 am flight. However, if you have time and willing to walk, there are couple restaurants nearby with more reasonable prices and taste just as good or better.
Excellent coffee and solid food, friendly and speedy service. An excellent place to spend your time before the flight, just a few steps outside the airport.
