Indian Lounge were our caterers for our son’s wedding reception @ an open farm in West Auckland. The food and their service was exemplary. I jogged here for an afternoon. I smell the smell of Nan bread from this restaurant. It makes me hungry and thinks of curry with a Nan bread. From that moment I decided to come here to try. Food was delicious we were too late and we wanted to have some indian curry and naan.. called them and they made our food ready as it was closing time .. we appreciate they didnt refuse us .. as we called many restaurants on that day they were keep saying we not taking any din in orders but indian lounge did 🥰 really appreciate that .,thank you chef but seeems like closing staff was too tired lol wasnt happy to greet us .. overall experience was good

A very ambient and calm experience, Indian lounge produces good quality food topped with a beautiful presentation for each of their dazzling dishes. Wait time was extremely long, 30 minutes for us but the staff provided well during that time. The only issue that I found was when paying, I payed with a voucher (From Indian lounge) but the cashier looked at me as if I was refusing pay. But overall a good experience.

Cannot fault this place. Driven past it for years being a local and finally came in for one of the nicest curries I’ve had in a long time. Went for dinner on a Saturday evening. Food was very nice. The staff is also very friendly and the service is also good but it can be a bit slow and can take some extra time for the food to come on the table. Average cost per person is $20 to$25. Parking can be challenge. Clean toilets.

Food was so yum 🤤,Highly recommended,Ordered Lamb Sekh kebab and samosa chaat, so delicious,Best part Mint chutney was of freshly grounded cilantro and mint and hint of spice and green chilies,Guys please make your standard intact 🙏🙏,As most Resturant give packaged sauce ,even salad with seeks Kabab was so vibrant with radish ,cucumber,fresh onion,capsicums,beetroot 👍👍

We had really good time when we went to the restaurant to celebrate when we got our permanent residence visa. Staff was really nice and welcoming . One of the girl named Lucky provided an exceptionally good services . She made sure we received our food all together and Didn't had to wait . Drinks were amazing. She kept checking with us if we needed any thing . Having that good service on a celebration day just adds up the joy to it .

The service of the staff was wonderful, friendly and attentive, but left us plenty of time to talk amongst ourselves and enjoy our meal. There were plenty of vegetarian options and every item we ordered was incredibly delicious and satisfying. While we are not local to the area, we will definitely be dining again next time we visit.

(Tasted and written on 8 April 2022) Went to the Indian Lounge for dinner tonight with my family. Being my first time there despite living a two to three minute walk away from the restaurant, I have a word to describe my experience at this place- awesome! I had a Mushroom Matai Korma (mushroom and pea curry) to taste, and a Jalzeera (a mocktail made of mint, lime juice and soda) to drink. The Mushroom korma was very creamy like a Butter Chicken curry, and was also spicy (Indian spice level, my preferred level of spice). The Jalzeera tasted as great as lime juice and mint combined. Because of the wonderful flavours from my dinner at the restaurant, I will definitely recommend the Indian Lounge as a must try for anyone coming to Mount Eden😃!

Been here a couple of times and food is always lovely, service is really good.. Great place to have a good family lunch/ dinner.. My personal fav is the vege bullets and kadai paneer... !! The Apple Mojito was very refreshing.. Highly recommend...

Absolutely fabulous. Lovely staff, superb food and great setting. We ordered 4 different meat dishes, mild to medium spicy and all were outstanding. Order the goat, chicken or lamb and you're in for a feast.

Beautiful and elegant place to have good food and may be a birthday party. The only thing is waiting time is little high.

Ended up here by accident when our reservation up the road fell through, but had one of the best curries I've had in ages. They do a small selection of vegan options which are delicious (they aren't marked but just ask the staff) and a decent selection of drinks. Customer service was friendly and helpful. We'll be back! Would be good to know before we arrived that there's vegan options available though, it didn't show up when I tried to find somewhere local we could eat. Even just marking the options on the menu would be super helpful!

It was last Saturday 21st Jan 23, when we enjoyed a gourmet food @IndianLounge. We ordered all vegetarian along with “Lounge Chicken” and the dash of Mock-tail! The taste and presentation was perfect and appropriate! However it did not ended well, really sorry for sharing this (as the captain and his team served us nicely!). We saw some stuff was added in the order that we never asked for also while splitting it one of my teammates were charged a drink extra which HE never ordered that but my other teammate did!!.. It took our good 20 min to sort this out but still we are not satisfied with the conclusion.. Readers : NICE food, Ambience and service BUT check your bill twice before you pay!😉

I love this place. Highly recommended. We usually go there whenever we want to go out for dinner. I love all the entree's in this menu. The ambiance is lovely and the service is great. I love gulabjamun with malai kulfi 'awesome' as a dessert. Moreover, I really like the logo ' peacock' of this restaurant. Keep it up guys!

This is our go-to restaurant. Loaded fries is one of the best starters. Curries are among the best I've tried in Auckland. Staff are polite and their service is excellent. Bonus: In winter season, this restaurant feels very warm inside.

The only good thing about this place is the villa home atmosphere. The staff tried to be friendly and to their credit tried their best. But their best does NOT justify the expensive prices. I’m a spender but even i found that their prices could not justify their food quality. Blend food with limited choices on the menu. No care taken for dietary requirements and it appears the food was contaminated as my family felt unwell the following day. But the atmosphere was nice.

I can only comment on the Butter Chicken and it was absolutely divine. The garlic naan was so fresh soft and fluffy very moreish. The place has a lovely atmosphere beautiful setting and friendly helpful staff.

Great atmosphere, beautiful building, clean and tastefully decorated. Food was amazing, onion bhaji and Paneer Tikka masala for appetizer, Amazing. Lamb biryani was beautifully cooked. Pieces of lamb were very tender and delicious. I wish they used less food coloring in the biryani though. Butter chicken was so tasty, creamy and not too sugary. Presentation of the food was nice too. I highly recommend this place for a get together or dates for indian food lovers.

Had to wait for 35+ mins to get our main courses on table. When asked about why the food has still not arrived the receptionist lied that we dint informed them that we are ready for the main course. The receptionist dint knew that the waitress has come and already informed about the wrong order they have passed on a wrong table. This is the first time in New Zealand that some restaurant has made us wait long and dint even compensate a penny. We paid the full bill and wasted our whole evening. They add chat masala to every food dish and I don’t know why?? It’s bit silly I would not recommend you to go to this place to waste your time. Thanks

We had our staff Christmas party here and was impressed by the quality of food. Each and every dish had an authentic taste. I had visited lots of Indian restaurants where the curries all tasted the same but the names are different. But this one is great with each curry with a different taste. I visited again with my husband and he was also impressed with the quality and taste of food

Interior of inside is beautiful but the lights are very dim need more lighting.The outside sitting was very nice. The starters was very yum especially tandoori mushrooms with mint sauce which is very authentic and presentable but quantity is less and expensive too.Staff was very nice and effiencent.

We had the most amazing experience at Indian Lounge when we went for dinner with a big to celebrate a special occasion. Vikram the manager with his team Poonam and Sonia provided outstanding customer service. They were so polite and very accommodating. The food was exceptional- best Indian food we have had and there was no waiting. Overall nothing to fault with the food, service and ambience. Definitely will go again soon.

The service is always really amazing; the waiters are all very kind and welcoming! The cooking is also wonderful, and it really helps you to experience the great Indian cuisine culture.

I had been to the restaurant before and was good. But last time I have been hear it was my worst experience in NZ. Hot was mild and when asked to make it hotter. They just put some raw red chilly power and you can taste the raw chilli powder. Re ordered a curry which was good and the second time it was absolutely different with raw chilli powder.... either the sheff was absent or an amateur. We just had to leave unfinished....

After the 14 days quarantine thought to take friends for Indian restaurant to bring my UK Indian food taste buds back. Been to this place (Indian Lounge) on Thursday. What a disappointment with the food. The most terrible food with that expensive price. The person served us said I will talk to chef & never responded us. Thanks guys buy never see us again. Oh yes we ordered: seek kebebs, onion bhaji, chicken vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, spinach curry and some naan breads. Onion bhaji was absolutely ok but rest very average :(

Ordered kadai paneer which took almost 30 minutes to get served. Quantity of kadai paneer is very less and not worth with the amount they have charged 19.50 dollars. Taste was just ok. Went there with great expectations but got disappointment. Cheers.

It was a small bowl even not enough for one person. wanted to try something different but got disappointed. We already gave review to one of staff but from her side no comments.
