Friendly staff, clean rooms, affordable and walking distance to shops, food and transportation. The hotel seems a out of the way but is only a few minutes walk to shopping and the train station. The staff is very friendly (they are New Zealanders after all), helpful and seem to go the proverbial extra mile. I arrived early and they let me have my room since it was available. The room I chose was small, without a table (which I knew when I booked), but clean with a great shower, air conditioning, and a great big bed. There is no restaurant but you can order breakfast which will be delivered from a local deli and brought to your room. The food is great. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had travelled for 12 hours and just needed sleep. When we reached the hotel our room had been changed to a king rather than 2 singles, the carpark gate wouldn’t open and it was difficult trying to find the hotel. However, the Manager made our stay so enjoyable. He upgraded our room to a city and ocean view and gave us a carpark right outside the doors. I cannot tell you how thankful I was to crash on the bed for a much needed sleep. Beds were comfy, room was lovely with modern furnishings. I would definitely stay again knowing that the hotel do everything to make their customers feel welcomed and comfortable. 5 stars guys, you earned it🙂

I liked the hotel. The service at front desk was exemplary. Our room was road facing so was noisy during the day but at night it was fine for us. We had 2 single beds which we found small but we're adequate. Beds were comfortable but for me the pillows were too soft. I prefer much former pillows. It was an issue I had at many hotels on this trip! For the location it's an hour walk from the city center but is near a Westfield which would have most shops. WiFi was very good. For breakfast we had a voucher to go somewhere else. They provide free water, coffees and apples in the lobby. I would be happy to return.

Super clean, modern, comfy bed, lovely welcoming staff, secure carpark, all that we needed for a last minute stay in Newmarket. Next time I will choose a room not facing the motorway or bring ear plugs, but otherwise great accommodation. Very happy.

Had a great stay while on work trip. Fantastic water pressure in the shower! Room is clean and tidy, other areas are clean too. Great idea of free coffee at the reception! Absolutely hit the mark! Staff I came across are hospitable. Easy check in and out. Stone throw away to Westfield Mall and other shops! Netflix cant load in full seems to be because of the internet? Would also be great to have more channels on TV. Wifi works fine on mobile phone. Definitely going to stay again!

I couldn’t rate it highly enough! I recently surprised my parents for their 50th anniversary with a week’s stay at Ramada Newmarket. Because I had messaged the hotel to recommend local activities for the daily itinerary I created for my parents, the hotel had put a celebratory box of chocolates into the room when they checked in. When I asked my parents about their week they said the location was great, the room was immaculate with a super comfortable bed and the hotel had very secure parking. Thanks again to the Ramada for making my parent’s anniversary week a special one.

Minnie and the Team supported our Conference and Accommodation to a very high level. The Rooms were very comfortable and well positioned. The Conference facility was first class and discrete enabling an excellent activity. The service provided by the staff including catering, technical and concierge support was always friendly and on point. Thanks so much. J H - NZ Defence Force

A two month stay in a gorgeous 1 bedroom apartment with views across to Rangitoto due to my house flooding and needing repairs. Warm and very quiet with great facilities such as the kitchen and washer and dryer. Excellent customer service from Vibhor, Jack and Annie eg a big knife for pumpkin and a clothes airer were added to my room after I requested it. Highly recommended.

New hotel, so everything was still fresh and clean, but surprisingly the bed sheets were stained, I've never experienced that in New Zealand, not even in cheap motels, that was disgusting! The service was also average, only one person at the front desk was friendly and professional, everyone else was not. We asked for a "quiet room" when booking, but for this basic need you have to pay here (20 NZD), even if there are free quiet rooms available, you don't get them for free! The hotel is still a good option because of the new building and the very good location, but don't expect too much from this "4 star level hotel".

We have stayed several times and always receive excellent service. The hotel is exactly what we need - great location, perfectly clean, modern, comfortable and spacious. Our most recent stay was for a family funeral and the staff were so kind to us and accommodated a couple of extra requests that made things to much easier for us during a stressful and difficult time. We very much appreciated their thoughtfulness and look forward to returning soon under happier circumstances.

This was an amazing place to stay! The room was very wheelchair accessible, the bathroom was great for space and access. The room was well spaced out as well. The BEST part however was the service by the staff, they were all amazing, and Luke was the most outstanding for us as he made sure we were comfortable and was so lovely! Highly recommend and we will be returning definitely

Overall room experience was decent for the price. Very clean and modern. However, we heard everything in the hallway and had noisy neighbours all night. Underground parking was also a nightmare.. very tight if you have a big car.

We only spent one night, but I was impressed by the accommodations. The room and bathroom were very up to date, and very clean. No signs of wear. The fridge and complimentary coffee, tea and chocolate in the room were very nice also.

It was so loud. I barely slept. The room was very small. The front desk staff were very accommodating and helpful.

Awesome service, we stayed in the three bedroom apartment for our mums 65th birthday. Nice and clean, modern furnishings, 2 bathrooms and comfy beds. Right next to Westfield! Great accommodation, we will be back!

After staying in many hotels here and internationally I've decided I have become very fussy. And don't care. I was looking for a place that was uplifting with excellent customer service. The Ramada has not disappointed. The service is simply outstanding ..in particular big thanks to Luke and Jack. They truly care that we have a great experience..nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are just right. Excellent facilities for a longer stay. Superb location. Highly recommend.

It's a great place to stay. Central to many Auckland locations and very close to the Newmarket Westfield Mall. Our room was small, but perfect and clean. Nice and quiet. I accidentally booked the wrong dates for my stay, but the hotel staff were amazing and re-booked us for the correct dates, and gave us a city view room upgrade instead of the motorway view. Parking was extra to pay, but it was easy to park beside the hotel up off the road. I would definitely stay again.

We are a couple in our 70s and we stayed at Ramada Newmarket overnight. If I could give more than five stars for service, I would! We arrived after my husband had had eye surgery nearby and he was unable to see at that point. The receptionist organised me a car park really close to the entrance, helped bring our bags up to our room so I could guide my husband and she also got the card sorted for the lights, checking that we had everything we needed before she left. This was very much appreciated. The room was quiet, well equipped and the bed comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

If you don't mind staying in a hotel that's difficult to access from the south and you like having your small bedroom right next to a motorway and motorway off ramp, then this is the hotel for you.

I recently stayed at the Ramada Hotel in Newmarket and had a negative experience. Unfortunately, the room did not have a hairdryer, so I had to call reception for assistance. The staff member brought a hairdryer to my room, but then asked me to return it to the front desk when I checked out. While I appreciate their effort to provide a solution, it felt unnecessary to inconvenience the guest in this way. In addition, I found the soundproofing in the room to be inadequate, as I was frequently disturbed by noise from outside the room. This impacted my overall impression of the hotel. Overall not so happy.

Newly built, neat and tidy rooms and interiors, convenient location and parking. Parking must be booked in advance. Overall: had a great experience staying there.

I had high hopes for this place mainly due to its location however in a nutshell it was disgusting. I have since cancelled my other two bookings here. The rooms are sterile. They provide tea and coffee but no bottles of water even to purchase. My room wasn’t serviced at all and then in the morning from my last night I turned the pillow over to find this disgusting stain/mess from a previous guest. This is actually a health and safety issue.

The worst sleeping experience ever. Stayed here this Tuesday night. $599 for a three-bedroom suite. Late booking so it was just me yet I got three rooms. It's on the top floor with great views of the city. Spacious rooms to match the price. As it is right next to the motorway, you can hear the cars driving past ALL night at at least 100km/hr speed. Honestly I could only doze off for an hour or two and I'm still recovering from the sleep deprivation. The standard rooms my colleagues stayed in didn't even have a desk. They said you could hardly stretch in there. Won't recommend it.

I attended a conference at Ramada and the facility was amazing. It was just right in terms of size and the layout which helped made our session even more engaging. The food was equally good if not better.

Nice enough room, didn't offer sky or other " cable " channels, only drawback was only 3x possible carparks which was an extra $30.oo..... odd to have a bottle of shampoo ( but no conditioner ) and a bottle of body wash in the shower in place of the ( old ) little packets, as the " complimentary " ones. It was awkward getting in and out of the driveway, but, it was a very warm, and nice enough room. The young man at the desk was very friendly and nice.

I don't think rooms (312) in this size should be rented out for $170.00. We had no desk, no chair, no cutlery the bed was so big it filled the whole room we had to jump over it to use both sides. You couldn't be in the bathroom with 2 people at the time, again to small. On top of it we were charged $30.00 per night for a car park and 2.5% credit card charges on top of the already unreasonable bill. This is a rip off and when I complained at the Lobby I was given the insurance that next time we would stay in this Ramada Hotel we would receive a free upgrade on our room. Keep it, you will never see us again. Regard Thomas and Birthe

Useless if you turn up at midnight hoping for a room because you are tired, exhausted and grumpy and just want some sleep. Only to find they are not staffed overnight and you face an uphill struggle to get anywhere. It's not my fault I ended up in Auckland at stupid o'clock a.m and can't get to where I'm staying as there is no public transport.

I rang the hotel 1:30pm (check in was 2pm) to say that I was in my way and asking if I could do the check in and they say they could not ask on the phone. I got there 1:45pm, only 15 min before check in and they said that room wasn’t ready. so I park my car which they charged me an extra 30 dollars and that wasn’t clear at all at the time of the booking. Then I left to catch my ferry to Waiheke and said I would go back later at night and I asked for the instructions for when I arrive and the lady at the reception said that she would txt me the password to get access to the hotel. she never did and here I was ringing the hotel on my wedding anniversary celebration to try to get the password to access the hotel when I come back and again the person on the phone wasn’t helpful at all and told me I had to ring the hotel only when I get there because the ser it was 24 hours! And the disaster does not end! when I came back really tired I had to ring the hotel 3 times with not response which was really stressful! After be super stressed and frustrated when supposed to be my relaxing weekend I got a phone call with the password. I will never go back and I am so disappointed that cost me more , I was stressed on my relaxed weekend. I don’t normally write bad reviews and I try to support business but this was way and beyond bad!

I have been charged twice for my stay on Monday 23rd May, at check in my card was electronically processed and it was fully explained that a bond of $50 would be held against the accommodation and would be released when processed at check out... happy to that point and my account was charged $199.75 (accommodation and car parking). On the same day as this was charged, another charge of $244.88 was taken from my account! I call the hotel and ask what has happened - was told that it is normal for this to happen and they would release a credit but could take up to 3 days to show on my statement. I have contacted my bank and the $244.88 has definitely been taken from my account!!! At no stage should this second transaction have taken place and monies been removed from my account using that authourisation. Now the bank are investigating. After travelling nationally and internationally for work for close to 45 years I have never experienced this and it is essentially theft by process. What should have happen was the $244.88 be held during my stay, at checkout the $50.00 "bond" should have been deducted from the $244.88 resulting in the expected charge of $194.88 (I guess there was a small transactional charge that brought this amount up to the $199.75 that was first taken form my account) and that would be the only charge. The amount of money is not the issue - it is the fraudulent process and the response from the hotel itself attempting to defend their process. No customer satisfaction here - I will not be staying again, I will be pursuing this further and I will be sharing my exceedingly negative experience with many others.

Ramada Newmarket accomodated our group of 52. Overall a very pleasant stay, comfortable rooms with all the ameneties including laundry. The staff were very good to us and the location is hard to beat - across the road from Westfield Newmarket Shopping Mall and off SH1 motorway. Highly reccomend

The hotel is great, rooms were comfy but the reason for five stars is the staff. A massive thank you to Luke and especially Jack for their exception service. Anya loved her birthday chocolates and her card!

  • 4/5 Alice G. 1 year ago on Google
The location was excellent as I had not been in Auckland for quite some time. My room was small but snug which I like. The shower was perfect as were the amenities. I slept like a log. Might I make a suggestion?. How about some nice plantings of succulents or something hardy outside the window, which was of the most romantic motorway with cars zooming past. The major downfall was the lack of a decent hot breakfast or or something similar. Taking part in a sports tournament all weekend meant that we had to eat somewhere else in order to keep our energy up. Chia does not cut it. As there is no restaurant on the premises, you must order the night before. We were not told of this which made me a bit on the hangry side. But. I will definitely stay again. I will just bring my own breakfast. Everything else was great!!!

Really poor staff, bought a room with breakfast included. 4 staff couldn’t get there head around this, never ended up with breakfast, checked out a day early, couldn’t even be bothered asking why. But if a shame, rooms are small but beds / pillow / shower all great. Staff need to work on this old thing called customer service. (note to responding manager - still cannot except you got it wrong, Breakfast was paid for, it was on the invoice) honestly 😵‍💫

Position of aircon, if turned on does not heat or cool down the room nicely. Also bathroom layout, quite small, if you're a big person the way the door opens will be challenging to get to the toilet as not enough room or gap to get through nicely. Other than that, it's nice, clean room. Has smart tv (which was great!) and beds very comfy.

  • 4/5 Michael K. 1 year ago on Google
Modern hotel. Very clean, good service (although they didn't recognize my Wyndham diamond status), nice bed, convenient. Everything is tight - room not spacious, getting in and out of the bathroom is a challenge, parking garage difficult to park. Here is an idea for the hotel - when two people are checking into a room, you should provide more than one key. The entire hotel runs on your room key - need to use the elevator, need key, which shuts down the power in room for person staying behind. Each person needs a key.

  • 5/5 Regan W. 1 year ago on Google
Staff are more than friendly and accommodated to all our needs. The rooms, like other Wyndham Group properties, are well equipped but the condition of the room itself sometimes lacks attention e.g. scuffs on the walls and skirting boards, squashed flies on artwork, minor things that could be addressed easily and inexpensively but are often overlooked. Location was good. Newmarket Westfield is right across the road and nice view across the CBD from the top floor.

Everything was perfectly organised for the after hours check in with clean rooms. Stayed in 3 different rooms as I stayed for 3 times with total of 4 nights. Special thanks to Front Office Manager and Jack for accommodating.

Am writing this review to convey my sincere thanks to the team at Ramada Newmarket for looking after us during our stay. We stayed for a few weeks and both Rohit and Minnie went above & beyond for making it a wonderful and memorable experience for us. The entire team is very pleasant and helpful. I also wish to thank James, Kara, Juliette as well as the housekeeping team who were always available to help and would follow up on our every single request. Being new to the country, my first few days were chaotic having to get my head around the systems and places. I am therefore out of words to thank Rohit for his support and guidance. Its so encouraging to see young leadership with lots of professionalism. If I have to stay in an Auckland hotel again, Ramada Newmarket will be definitely my first choice :)
