Very big portions and the chef always asks do you want more! :D The price per dinner is between $12-$20 depending on the fish that you choose. The best restaurant in La Gaulette and Le Morne! (also on the best cost to food ratio) Fish is always very fresh, because chef personally buys fish early in the morning directly from fishermen! I currently have over 70+ dinners here so far! Big recommendation!

Gregory is the chef of happy days guest house, the food is delicious. You can contact the guest house to have a dinner here even if you are not staying in there. Food is fresh and the people are extremely nice. Go check it out, you won't be dissapointed.

Wow wow , if you want to be spoilt with delicious food, this is the place to go to & Gregory is the chef for you. Amazing cook. We requested chicken curry , vegetable curry ( tofu) & a Tuna Dish ( Gregory mentioned he had freshly caught tuna ( line fishing ❤️) ) we arrived at his restaurant which was beautiful, very cozy , amazing 😍 vibe. The food we had was exactly what we wanted, much better than a restaurant we went to a day before which was a "mainstream" restaurant on a main road. If you want a taste of Mauritian hospitality & home cooked food, definitely seek this place out. Gregory is sometimes at a place called Happy Days Guest house ( where we stayed) which is an amazing place to stay with breathtaking views ( ask for sea view if possible )

Gregory is a great host. The food was very well cooked and his house is very homey. We had calamari, chicken curry and coconut icecream - all very tasty. Highly recommend if you want a Mauritian experience!

Also wer hier weniger als 5 Sterne gibt - keine Ahnung! Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend, die Portionen sind sehr groß, es gibt immer Nachschlag, einen frischen Salat, Wasser, ein Dessert und das alles zu einem Festpreis der einem Hauptgang eines Restaurants entspricht. Ja, es ist kein Restaurant sondern ein Guesthouse, wo man sich einen Tag vorher anmelden muss, weil die Plätzeanzahl begrenzt ist und dies quasi nur ein Service des Hauses ist. Wir hatten sehr leckere saisonale und frische Gerichte, die besser geschmeckt haben als in vielen Restaurants.

1500Rp for the Scampi and 1000Rp for the calamari with rice and vegetable was not cheap but it was delicious.

Gregory prepares whatever you want to eat in simple but very tasteful recipes and very good quantity for money. You have to contact him via whatsup the day before to ask whichever dish you wish to have. Only indoor sitting, simple decoration and cosy interior. Definitely worth trying if you live in the area.

At Gregory’s you feel like at home! He’s an amazing cook and attentive host. Forget the ordinary menus: he prepares whatever you want as long as you tell him in advance by whatsapp. The atmosphere in the garden is very cozy and the food is the best I’ve had in Mauritius: try the chicken curry, you won’t regret it!

We enjoyed a perfect dinner with 3 courses here and it was one of the best tunas we ever had in our lives. It was so delicious! We will definitely go again this week. As the others already wrote, it’s not a restaurant with a menu. You let Gregory know that you want to have dinner one day before and he will prepare it for you the next day.

Nous avons adoré dîner ici, nous y avons dîné tous les soirs depuis notre arrivée dans la Guest House. Il faut prévenir Gregory le matin pour qu’il puisse prévoir assez de nourriture. Le rapport qualité/prix était le meilleur que nous avons trouvé sur l’île. L’ambiance y est jazzy et mauricienne à la fois. On a bien rigolé avec Greg, il ne faut pas hésiter à lui faire des blagues 😉 Je recommande à 100% !!

We had a wonderful dinner with tuna, rice, vegetables an mashed potatoes. It was delicious!! Very nice cook and landlord. We will come again!
