The Hotel is expensive and has good reviews. We come to Mauritius many times. We were excited but left deeply disappointed - I cannot see how on any reputable scale this hotel has this grading - make what you will of my review - if you do not believe me, go and see - there are so many better hotels in Mauritius, such as the Oberoi. If you like uncontrolled and threatening dogs on the small beach then this is the five star hotel for you. What makes it worse is that the management know of this but have not dealt with it. I have started with this as cuts the small beach in half - oh and if you sit on the wrong sunned the staff will move you as you have an allocated sunbeds, heaven help you if you sit on the wrong (empty) bed. The service was poor - some people were nice but most had the air of people going to a funeral and indeed at night when walking around in the dark it was hard pushed to tell whether it was a fiver star hotel or a mausoleum. I have seen more life in Pompeii. The building is dated. The menu bland to the point that I could not both to eat breakfast as it was worse that what one finds in say a Pret a manger. We chose a suite to have a bigger room only to find that at this hotel a normal room is called a suite. Disingenuous or Mendacious you decide. -

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed. The service is incomparable. We came for our honeymoon in July. Everyone knew our names, the breakfast and dinner were so tasty. Free water sports and minibar was inclusive. Absolute dream of sunsets everyday. Best hotel in Mauritius!

We came to Mauritius for our honeymoon and stayed at the Royal Palm and the One & Only. They are supposedly the 2 best hotels in Mauritius. Where the One & Only completely meets those standards, the Royal Palm totally doesn’t. The location is nice, but the rest is terrible. Especially the service, it’s stiff and impersonal. E.g. we didn’t get any acknowledgment of our honeymoon. I really don’t understand the high reviews as the hotel is highly overpriced. I recommend going for one & only saint geran if coming to Mauritius!

Amazing hotel. The resort has one of the best beaches on Mauritius. The staff is very friendly and professional. The food is great as well. The room (junior suite) was spotless and spacious. There was a very nice balcony as well. All around the best resort I have stayed in awhile.

PERFECTION EMBODIMENT From the moment we stepped into the Royal Palm, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth, exuding from its dedicated and fantastic team. We were greeted with the warmest of welcomes by the general manager and the front office team. The general manager and her assistant are incredible women running the resort with grace, finesse, and an uncanny eye for detail that is reflected throughout the establishment. Their thoughtful leadership was evident everywhere, particularly in the little touches like the stunning flower bouquets that adorned the entrance and our room. Service was prompt, efficient, and imbued with a personal touch that made us feel cherished as guests. We particularly appreciated the celebration and gift pop-up boutique - a delightful surprise and testament to their attentiveness. A special mention must be made for Jimmy, the F&B Manager, and his impeccable team. We were continuously spoiled. They provided a personalized service that catered to our every need and exceeded our expectations. Every meal was a culinary delight - the food here is top-notch gastronomy, with quality, flavor, and presentation that left us awestruck. The resort itself is a gem - it's cozy, human-sized, and radiates an overwhelming sense of peace. This tranquility was further enhanced by the friendly and professional team at the boathouse, who enriched our stay with their service. The lady at the hotel souvenir shop truly went the extra mile, assisting us in finding the perfect souvenirs to remember our splendid stay. This was our first visit to the Royal Palm, but after such a fantastic experience, it most certainly will not be our last. We're looking forward to making more cherished memories at this splendid resort.

It's so nice place, weather is good and white sandy beach.

Perfect white beach, turquoise water, amazing high quality food and huge rooms with the best walk in closet and enough hanger’s. Very good gym and tennis courts. At the beach they serve you melon, gelato as little treats. You can relax or do all sorts of watersports, including Hobie Cat sailing,… You can walk into Grand Baie or the next door club N Joy which is great for drinks and dancing !

We are currently staying at the “Royal Palm”. What an amazing experience. The customer service is outstanding!! The food is exceptional. This should be a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ hotel.. Well done 👏🏻 We will be booking again for next year.

Amazing service and sublime food. Wine tasting was entertaining with gorgeous champagne and wines. Service is polite and professional. Suites are well appointed with top-notch amenities. And let's not forget the beautiful beach and seafront. This luxury hotel is a dream!

Great property, top class hospitality from the staff...5 stars all the way.

Exquisite location, gorgeous beach, excellent facilities, decent food. This is though a four rather than five-star hotel, lacking the soul, culture, panache, elegance and, above all, genuine attention to individualised guest experience that would raise it to real five-star status. The quality of English spoken by staff is also merely so–so, whereas in an international five-star hotel it should be excellent. Similarly, the food was decent enough, but certainly nothing special for those used to European / American standards.

Amazing evening we spent there. Had the luck to be at the prime spot for the firework. And fireworks it was!!

The best hotel we have ever been in. If I could, I would rank it 6 stars and not 5. Great amenities, beautiful and private beach, heated outdoor pools, free watersport, high quality food. Above all superb service. Special thanks to the water sport team and especially Mr. Gunisun from the restaurant (we have some food restrictions and he helped us above and beyond to make our stay perfect). We will be back

Stayed at the Royal Palm for a week on honeymoon.  The attention to detail the staff went to in order to make our honeymoon memorable was incredible.  Nothing was ever a problem and we aleays felt that staff were always prepared to go above and beyond.  The facilities are first class and the in house cuisine is a must have.  We will be back!

Absolutely amazing place to stay. The staff, the food, the location, the rooms, everything is amazing. Really hope i get to go back one day. Best place I have ever stayed and I do not think that is likely to change anytime soon.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were really comfortable and spacious. The staff were all very friendly and service was excellent. The water sports are fantastic and the team was great. It's particularly good for water skiing. Although the food was good quality, choice was limited, especially for vegetarians. The spa is also very good but at times it felt disorganised which was frustrating but didn't affect the experience too badly. The private beach is excellent. Each guest has a dedicated sunbed so there's no rush in the morning and it's not at all crowded. Overall loved it!

Fantastic! Staff were friendly, polite and made us feel comfortable throughout. World class cuisine and great customer service. I recommend Royal Palm to anyone visiting Mauritius for the first time.
