The hotel and resort was beautiful. The choice of food was great and the quality fantastic. The various restaurants offer plenty of choice in food. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned spotlessly daily and the drinks topped up. Drinks were well priced and quickly served. The gym was well stocked and was free to use along with the tennis and table tennis. The driving range off of the helipad is an experience. Sailing and canoeing was enjoyable. In June, the sea and pools were cool but not cold. All in all, this was the best beach resort I have been to and look forward to returning. Thank you for such a great time.

We stayed two nights in Ocean Junior Suite with amazing private balcony view over the beach. Superior staff service, very friendly and prompt to accommodate any request. Delicious breakfast and amazing variety of specialized restaurants. Great spa treatment and lots of entertainments within the hotel such as Cinema and live bands at dinner

Nice resort, very clean, room spacious and they have beautiful beaches. I must say the food at all restaurants was very good including the breakfast buffet. We went on our honeymoon and I was very dissapointed when I saw that they had arrangement of private dining on the beach but no one informed us prior. They were a bit slow with check-in, room not even ready after 3 pm. For restaurants make sure you book in advance as they might not have availability.

The BEST resort I have stayed in Mauritius. Beautiful place, delicious food, very service oriented staff. It is premium priced and well worth the experience .A little disappointed with the adult pool area, decking needs treatment and garden surrounds was not well manicured like the rest of the resort. Diving from the hotel was amazing.

It's an amazing resort at the sea cost with great water sports activities and indoor outdoor activities. The resort has great SPA with multiple options and a sauna. The tennis courts are well maintained along side a nice gym. The breakfast is varied with continental options, Chinese and Indian flavours. Service and Hospitality is really appreciable which just adds different zing to the vacation. Evening Jazz or bands at dinner are soothing and makes a simple evening a special one

The service was disappointing, so the housekeeping. The staff was more focused on making money rather than offering a good customer service. not genuine at all and far from what I expect from a 5 stars hotel. TOP TIPS: - do not upgrade half board, as every time you would surely pay less the dinner and nothing of the best foods are included in half or full board - do not go there if you wish to do snorkeling, the water is cloudy and the beach very small. The south of the island is much better for beach holidays

The hotel was made by its staff, everyone of which took time to make sure your stay was perfect. The boat house staff are superb, the entertainment staff are the best I’ve experienced. Can’t fault any employee. On arrival we didn’t get the family room we had booked and didn’t get an explanation as to why. For us it wasn’t an issue but possibly if are children had been younger it could have been more of an issue. Food was great at every restaurant, cocktails pretty decent. But staff service the best in Mauritius

We spent a day here under the “day use” package and really had a wonderful time. It’s the best hotel day use package to spend a full day. From the activities to the food to the bar to the coffee, just a proper day out for the family. Would recommend 100% to anyone wanting to spend a day at a resort.

The most PERFECT place. Myself and my partner have had the best holiday ever. This is luxury, calming and just a wonderful way to relax and unwind. Everything about this place is exciting to be in and the staff have completely made our time here. Every view is beautiful, all the restaurants, the private beaches, the thought put into the experience is insane. There’s not a time you won’t find a beautiful spot to relax with a cocktail, the interior and exterior is gorgeous and we loved all the small touches. The room was gorgeous, the comfiest bed I’ve slept on in my entire life and our view was heaven. There’s plenty to do with activities put on for all ages, and as a young couple there’s space for adult only areas to relax too. The food was gorgeous, I definitely recommend beach Rouge and the Inti restaurant, and palm court for breakfast - there’s enough choice to suit everyone. We eloped and got married here and the thoughtful touches put in the whole holiday was sublime and made it so so special. The staff are all so friendly, nothing is too much and are just so kind. I really appreciate all the hard work they’ve put in to make this a retreat for anyone to relax and enjoy. Honestly I don’t know what else to say but I can’t believe it’s back home to cold England after this! Thankyou so much for everything Lux, we’ll be back for an anniversary for sure!

We spent a week here at the beginning of October. It was a wonderful stay and we couldn’t have asked for more. It’s a truly beautiful location with a great beach and we spent lots of time in the water! Lovely selection of restaurants all with high quality food and service. All the staff are a credit to the hotel.

We had our wedding here and this resort was PERFECT!! The resort is gorgeous and screams luxury. The rooms were cleaned properly and we had our fridge restocked every day with top shelf drinks and snacks. The staff members made check in and check out smooth, restaurant staffs were so friendly, and on site wedding staff Manuja was AMAZING. The beach was so clear and they had a lot of non-motorized sports to do. We tried most of the restaurants and the food was great and tasty. I was so busy the whole time I was here but will definitely revisit.

Firstly, too many kids! If you’re looking for a relaxing hotel, this one is definitely not the one. Also, they say it’s not allowed to reserve sun beds on the beach but everyone does it and if you don’t go to the beach at 8:00am you’re left without a sun bed and staff don’t do anything about it. Breakfast set up is very confusing and there aren’t as many gluten free/dairy free options as in other LUX hotels. Dinner at Inti was nice. The gym is also nice, however I wouldn’t go back to this hotel.

We got married in March 2023 at the Lux Grand Gaube on the beach. In total, we spent 10 days here with our two witnesses and their partners. It was perfect for us from the beginning. The check-in went smoothly and we were served a delicious mocktail and refreshment towels. The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean, except for small things in the bathroom (hair from the predecessors) that was not so nice. The food is really great (buffet) very varied and there is something for everyone! We were eating in all the restaurants of the resort and the quality is just right. But our highlight was the wedding on the beach, a very special thanks goes to our wedding planner **Anastajia**she was simply terrific and always stood by our side even before our trip, we were in very good hands and did not feel alone. I or we recommend the package "Infinity wedding package with the fees", I would always recommend that, it is an all-round carefree package and exactly as described! Thank you again for everything and see you soon.

The staff of the hotel is superb. I feel absolutely pampered during my stay. This is what I am expecting from a holiday :) The food is great at Palm Court, making a decision between all varieties was a tough one. We stayed half-board and it was enough. The interior design of the hotel and the rooms is stunning. All details were well-designed. Sea is not my favorite type of sea- But pools are enough. We will definitely be back. What a beautiful resort! We really enjoyed our stay. Our junior suite was spacious with lovely garden and ocean views. The closet space is amazing! Cafe LUX* is very special experience. The gym, Padel courts, and water sports are world class with a great array of restaurants. My only complaint is housekeeping - our room was only serviced after 3pm everyday!

Excellent service, the staff is extremely helpful and supports you whenever you have something. Although there is real local restaurant in that facility, the food is really good and authentic, especially the Turkish one. Big thank you to nurse Ameena to help me out of my pain!

We had an incredible holiday at Lux. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, our every need was catered to and the service was received was exceptional. The resort has everything you need for a true holiday experience from the spa, the water sports and the swimming pools! We’re so glad we chose to stay at Lux and it made our Mauritius trip even better and can’t wait to eventually go back sometime!

I cannot fault this location and hotel, the staff, service, facilities is easily a 5 star plus. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it. Out of this world! What a place and the people are the kindest and welcoming I have ever experienced. Thank you.

This resort is absolutely breathtaking, the food amazing, the facilities… everything you can think of, it’s great. I will certainly say that our experience was made extra especially by the staff… I applaud the team, from the mangers to cooks, servers, waiters/waitresses, I wish I could call everyone out. They work tremendously hard but still bring such quality and dedication to the guests. We went for a family holiday (2 adults, 1 infant) and It’s very family oriented, had everything and more. so if your looking to go with Kids, it’s amazing. There’s also an adult-only area So everyone is catered too, but might not be your vibe if you don’t want to see kids haha. Honestly though we’re looking to head back again with the whole family! Thank you again!

One of the best resorts we have been to. The staff does everything to make you feel special. They go out of their way. They think of every little thing... from fresh water spots, bell on every post for service to offering to clean your sun glasses! The food is excelent - not only in the 4 restaurants scattered in the resort, but also at the "buffet", which you have not seen anything like. We had the best time!

My husband and I travelled all the way from Australia to visit my in laws in Mauritius. We booked the hotel prior and we were given a sea view from our room’s balcony. We enjoyed our stay, the buffet was delicious. There was even a live music after the dinner which we felt like we were watching a mini concert. All in all the experience was amazing. We will definitely be back here 😊😊😊

We had an exceptional experience at LUX Grand Gaube. Rooms are tastefully decorated and thoughtfully planned out. We had a nice balcony area and bathroom was very large. There are two lovely beach areas, one by the adults swimming pool and the other by the main restaurant and reception area. There were also 2 pool areas which gave us a number of private areas to enjoy. All water sports were free and we had a fantastic time experiencing the range on offer. Staff were all amazing! So attentive and remembered us over the course of the week. We were staying for a wedding and this was an excellent place for a large group trip. Everyone worked really hard to give us a good experience and I can’t thank them enough. Particularly wanted to thank all the bar and restaurant staff. We had a couple’s massage during our stay which was excellent and we only wished we had been sooner! The gym is really well equipped with Technogym equipment and we also played volleyball, table tennis and padel. We booked the cycling tour but sadly it was raining - I would definitely recommend the app to see what’s on and book activities. The rum tasting at the hotel was an excellent experience. There was live music most evenings at the bar which was really nice too. Booking the restaurants is definitely recommended - one suggestion would be for the staff to make this clearer on arrival and recommend a schedule. We liked Inti so much we went twice, Creole Smokehouse and Bodrum Blue were lovely as well. If you’re looking to go to Mauritius I can’t recommend this hotel enough!

I've yet to receive my deposit of 15,000 rupees back and it's been 3 weeks since we left the hotel. During our stay at the Lux Grand Gaub hotel, we encountered a few issues, mainly the waiting staff, there were instances where we felt treated differently because of our age and skin colour compared to other guests. On one occasion, my wife waited about 5 minutes to be served, and the barista attended to a caucasian man who arrived after her. Another time in the main dinner restaurant we had sat down, gotten our food and had to go to ask someone to get us drinks it took 15-20 minutes for our drinks to come and we had just ordered water and a Fanta. But the caucasian couple at the table right next to us before they even sat down someone had come to take their drinks order and their drinks came within minutes. Another issue was one evening there was a movie showing at 9 pm in the indoor cinema, we arrived at 9 pm on the dot and the movie was already over 10 minutes in. Our deposit has still not been released to us and we had to pay on top of the deposit for our massages because they “couldn’t” take it from the deposit. I have emailed the hotel over a week ago and they have not had the decency to reply to me and solve the issue. The only redeeming factors were some of the reception staff, Mario and Anaïs and the bodrum blue staff. The times we were with Mario and Anaïs made our honey moon wonderful. They treated us with respect and love!

An unbelievable place - outstanding in pretty much every way. I cannot recommend highly enough. We stayed for a week and had the most amazing time. The six restaurants all offered something different (especially Inti). There was the gym, tennis courts, golf driving range, watersports, cinema - There was no reason to leave the resort grounds during our stay! Well worth a visit.

A great hotel on a fantastic part of the island. The staff are super friendly, and always happy to help. There are loads of options in terms of food, and it's all good! I particularly liked the Creole Smokehouse.

The hotel, accommodation, beach, food, drinks and views are all incredible. There is lots to do and see, from water sports to rum tasting and spa treatments, and all the excellent unique restaurants. The customer service is impeccable. Perfect for a honeymoon. Ideal to unwind and relax.

We stayed at lux grande gaube for 10 nights. This was our 4th time staying at a Lux hotel having previously visited Le Morne, Belle Mare and South Ari Atoll. We have booked direct previously but this time we booked as part of a BA holiday as it was the same price even with the hotel offering a discount and we wanted the protection of a package in case we couldn’t go or whatever. Pros - Great staff with only a few exceptions, mostly happy to chat, good with kids and seem really content. Diksha especially was so good with our son. - The beach is fab, not as long as belle mare or as beautiful as Le Morne but still excellent. - The resort feels very safe as it’s all gated, compared with the other resorts where people can wander in from the beach. - I swear Lux downplay the little ‘surprise and delight’ features they offer so you are even more pleased when they happen, eg free bottle of fizz in the room delivered on the second night, free canapés on the beach, kids eat free, snorkelling of course is free as with the other resorts, food and drink service on the beach and by the pool, etc., bread when you order at the restaurants (I know this is standard in high end but it’s nice bread!) - Incredible spa, the signature treatment is the best I have had at a hotel. - Golf driving range, padel court, tennis court, gym, barber shop (which husband said was amazing), so much for the men! - The food is INCREDIBLE. The buffet is literally the best buffet you’ll ever go to. Inti the Latin American restaurant is amazing, if a little expensive, and Bodrum Blue is just amazing. The food is what sets Lux apart from other hotels for us. - The pillows are proper feather ones, and the bed is huge and comfy. My son’s single sofa bed was a bit hard but he didn’t seem to mind. Cons - the kids club didn’t seem well attended outside of school holiday apart from a few events that were at the pool or beach (with parents around). It would maybe be more attractive to have long slots on the beach making sandcastles or by the pool every day, as seeing the other kids there meant more wanted to join. Our son age 3 refused to let us leave him at the kids club. They did give him a bottle and a cute dodo toy on check in though which he loved. - The guy (Elvis) who did our check in didn’t mention the Lux app which was really useful for booking things and seeing what was on, and we didn’t find out about it until much later, and he didn’t seem to know where the kids club was on the resort map. - The adults only area and Creole restaurant was a bit underwhelming compared with the rest of the hotel. - One evening we returned after dinner to find our room door left open and all the lights on. There seemed to be a lot of people coming into the room, to look at the mini bar, change towels, evening turn down, housekeeping etc. nothing was missing and I’m sure it was just an oversight (I know we didn’t leave it like this as I popped back when the turn down service was happening and left them to it). - The bathroom was a bit mouldy in places and could do with a splash of bleach and a spruce!

This was the easily the best resort I've ever been to! The grounds are beautiful as are the room and common areas. The staff was friendly and helpful from the entrance to buffet to the beach. The concierge, Christopher, had my damaged luggage fixed! 🤯 Housekeeping came twice per day, providing turn down service. Front staff helped to organize a surprise private dining experience on the beach for my birthday. The chefs made sure that I knew what the gluten free options were each day and made special dishes without any request from me. Food was top tier. We stayed in the Banyan (adults only area), which was perfect. I was reluctant to stay at a resort that wasn't adults only, but it was not a problem here. We had a tour the night we arrived and another one in the day time by the fitness coordinator. There are so many hidden gems that it was hard to leave the resort to explore Mauritius. I just hope the Tree of Wishes grants my wish to return!

An absolutely stunning hotel. The staff are very friendly and ensure everything about your stay is perfect. Rooms are lovely and very clean and the breakfast buffet is one of the nicest I've had. A huge variety of foods to choose from and they cater for all tastes. The location is 20 mins from Grand Baie where you'll find restaurants and bars. Evening entertainment could be improved though as, there isn't much going on that late. Overall, we had a very lovely time and I would recommend.

An exceptional stay in paradise with unlimited sea views, crystal clear turquoise water, fine white sandy beaches and delicious food. We stayed in a luxurious ocean front suite with a scenic coin de mire island view. The room was clean, spacious, comfy and housekeeping was on point. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were a delight with a large variety of mouth-watering dishes ( Desserts not to be missed ! ). The attentiveness of the staffs, customer service and hospitality are unmatchable. Higly recommended and we look forward for our 3rd stay. Thank you Lux Grand Gaube.

5 Star+ experience - Excellent hospitality The team at Lux GG is amazing, can’t thank them enough. Each staff member seems highly trained to deliver an outstanding service. I’ve been around Mauritius and I can say this hotel is a gem. The food is so good that you can’t stop eating, presentation is fabulous. I’m looking forward to visit again and again, definitely recommend visiting.

Excellent service from the staff. Absolute gems. The Junior Ocean Rooms are very spacious and have great views. Special thanks to Sandeep for helping with all of our requests. Hotel is very modern and well kept. Food at the Palm Court is very good as well. Maybe only thing would change is to have the pool remain open after 6pm, at least during summer.

Bears its name correctly.. LUX for blissful luxury in the material, people and atmosphere aspects. Loved my stay and will certainly visit again if I get an opportunity to. Food was Okay though but that may have been due to the package. Overall, just beautiful.

A wonderful resort at the North of the island of Mauritius, beautifully maintained with a great number of exceptional and friendly staff. We were very well looked after, even with some issues with reservations that had come up, the staff worked extremely hard to accommodate us. There are plenty of activities and facilities available, you will never be short of things to do here. The restaurants in the resort are all of excellent quality and the food is well presented and delicious. We will certainly be looking at returning in the future!

Great place to stay with all the amenities you could think of. Overall very scenic and beautiful place to relax and unwind. Room was spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated, and well equipped. The resort has a great atmosphere with a wide range of activities. The food and drink options are varied and delicious. The only downside is unfortunately significant. While staff were very friendly and hospitable, the service was not that great. Quite often we'd leave queries that would go unaddressed. On several days we'd have to ask multiple times for the room to be cleaned. Other times the amenities in the room wouldn't be replaced and we'd again have to ask more than once. Admittedly while this was quite an inconvenience, the overall experience was still very positive and enjoyable.

The best hotel i’ve ever been in my life, extremly friendly staff, tasty food, lovely atmosphere and amazing view! The cafe was one of the best. In summary, everything is perfect!

Luxury hotel with very good quality accommodation and food. Service levels excellent but management needs to look after their staff better. Regularly scheduling a 14 hour shift over a 17 hour period is not acceptable. But staff were brilliant and always had a smile on their face. Downside is location as not easy to get out and about other than taxi which are quite pricey.

Amazing stay. Incredibly friendly staff, amazing service, lots of activities such as snorkeling, Water skiing, pedalo, kayak, stand up paddle that are.for free. Also they organize activities such as yoga and beach volley which was fun. Variety of food is great with many restaurants to try. Restaurant manager Yasser was one of our favourites, he made sure we are happy and satisfied with the food and experience. Place is also huge, its like a village on its own. Also we were very happy with how staff deal with our complaints and satisfaction, we had one issue in the bill and they directly dealt with it an made sure we are happy. Beach is very nice but not the best in mauritius. Also, one small downside that restaurants other than main buffet are always fully booked if you are booking on short notice, however staff try to support if there is any cancellation or ask you to to back in an hour or two. They have lovely entertainment and live music at night which was very nice for us. Decor of the hotel is also just wonderful. A must come to in mauritius!

5 stars for the room, the ambiance and the beautiful property. Service was not quite upto standards however as some of the staff appeared less experienced especially in dining settings. The spa hydrotherapy was quite relaxing. I also took advantage of the gym on site and it had a good selection of weights and machinery and cleaning protocols were maintained quite thoroughly.

What absolute delight. Definitely one of the best, if not the best hotel/resort that we have been to on the island. This place feels much more like a boutique experience than only a hotel. This is a stark contrast to the big-commecial-hotel vibes you get in some of the others. The food in all restaurants and snack bars is absolutely exquisite, even simple snacks are crafted and cooked to perfection. The staff is incredibly forthcoming and flexible and you get the feeling they will do everything in their power to look after their customers. There is really nothing to wish for, the place even has a free cinema. The spa and it's facilities are also well worth the extra investment. The adults only pool also has a completely new and lovely flair to it. Only drawback in our eyes is that after being at lux, you will never quite like regular hotels anymore...

I went there for my 14 days quarantine, my stay there was extremely comfortable. A very beautiful hotel surrounded by wonderful staffs! Helpful and friendly staffs who go above and beyond to make sure you have the best time! Amazing team and beautiful hotel😊

What a fantastic holiday we had at Lux Grand Gaube! From the minute we arrived to the minute we left. The staff are all fantastic and very friendly. The rooms are chic and very well equipped.. the bathrooms are huge with roll top bath and gorgeous big shower. The food is very good quality would highly recommend all the restaurants including the buffet as the food was spot on across the board. The beach is lovely and there is an adults only beach & pool which is a bonus. The hotel were operating at full occupancy while we were there but we both kept saying we don't believe it as it didn't feel over crowded at all.. plenty of beds etc.. just want to mention a special shout out to a couple of the lux staff who made our stay extra special...
