An affordable gym with plenty of equipment that is well spread out so that it doesn't feel overcrowded. I also like the way it feels like family/home i.e apart from the friendly guys (and 'gals') at the front desk, the trainers and even other clients are there to assist you by giving you tips on how to work out (or use unfamiliar equipment) without injuring yourself. I definitely enjoy " following you to fit"! 💪🏋️💯💖

I am visiting from the US and needed a gym to work out. This gym just happened to be near the apartment I was renting. Very disappointed. Not enough equipment when it comes to free weight. One bench press and one incline bench. Not enough machine equipment for muscle building. Very unprofessional crew. No customer service. The atmosphere in the gym is not very welcoming. I would not recommend this gym to anyone visiting from the diaspora. You will be disappointed.

I recently had an incredibly negative experience at Smart Gym, particularly with the personal trainer assigned to me, Emmanuel. I paid him for a month of training sessions, but his lack of professionalism and disrespectful behavior left me extremely dissatisfied and frustrated.😣 First and foremost, communication with Emmanuel was nearly impossible. Whenever I tried to reach out to him through messages, he would consistently ignore them, leaving them unread. When I confronted him about this issue, he simply stated that he preferred not to be called or texted. This left me perplexed as to how I was supposed to maintain effective communication with my personal trainer. It is essential to have clear and open lines of communication in order to achieve fitness goals and address any concerns or questions that may arise during the training process. Furthermore, Emmanuel's behavior during the training sessions was completely unacceptable. He would make derogatory jokes about my workout techniques, often involving other trainers at the gym who would laugh at my expense. This not only created a hostile and uncomfortable environment but also undermined my confidence and motivation to continue my workouts. As a personal trainer, his role should be to provide guidance, support, and encouragement to help clients achieve their fitness goals, rather than belittling and mocking them. What made matters worse was Emmanuel's favoritism towards my workout mate. While he would actively encourage and assist them in their workouts, he seemed to disregard my progress and even discouraged me from lifting weights. This blatant favoritism made me feel undervalued and undermined my trust in his abilities as a personal trainer. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Smart Gym to anyone. 💔 The unprofessional behavior, lack of communication, and favoritism displayed by Emmanuel have left me feeling disheartened and discouraged. A gym should be a supportive and motivating environment, but my time at Smart Gym was anything but that.☹️ In summary, my encounter with Emmanuel, a personal trainer at Smart Gym, was highly disappointing. His disregard for communication, disrespectful behavior, and favoritism towards other clients made my experience unpleasant and demoralizing. I strongly advise against choosing Smart Gym for your fitness needs, as it fails to provide the professionalism and supportive atmosphere that one would expect from a reputable fitness facility.

This is an urban gym very well maintained. Their rates are not too bad but still not cheap either.

Horrendous atmosphere. Ok equipment but I ended up in a full blown confrontation with a trainer who had been profiling me for days. Management did absolutely nothing and as a female it was disgusting to experience a man twice my size try to intimidate me because he had the audience from his local friends/gym buddies. I would never use this gym again. Majority of trainers are hostile and unhelpful if they can not make money from you. As an expat I personally would not recommend this place to anyone traveling in or to anyone above the age of 25 who actually wants to train and not socialise or play on their phone. I would rather go for a run or use my bands at home Stay clear.
