Cannot find any better Indian food anywhere close! It’s authentic, staff are very friendly! If anything it could be a bit cheaper. But you get what you pay for and here you get deliciously authentic Indian food! P.S. - you should try the toilets! Beautifully decorated!

Amazing Indian restaurant, the food tasted very authentic Indian. I requested the food to be made spicy and the staff very kindly complied. Super efficient staff and they spoke in really good English. The interior is super cosy and comfortable. There is put door space also with a great view of the Vilnius cathedral

Not the best in taste but overall look and feel was good. Biryani was not authentic at all. Even the curries can be improved. However the ambience and their cutleries were good.

Worst restaurant in Vilnius! Waitress splits curry on your clothes, so unprofessional! The food tastes terrible, which gave us stomach pain, and the prices are outrageous given the small portions. The butter chicken was very tomatoey and not creamy at all. Bread was soggy and the lassi tasted weird. The biriyani, which costed 18 euros for a small amount, was horrible. Our server was cold and not helpful at all. She even split butter chicken on my clothes. Horrible. Didn’t even do much to apologise. Manager is not around. It is a Hell’s Kitchen. Overall this was a horrible experience. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL! Avoid at any cost!

This, in my opinion, is certainly the best Indian food in Lithuania, but also stands out against all of the EU. The owners grew up in India and have brought the taste of great food with them. In good weather, eat outside. Bad weather, the main restaurant is well appointed and comfortable. The food is priced moderately (a little high for Lithuanians, but far far below NY, California, the UK, etc) Everything is good and runs the gambit from vegetarian to lamb, chicken, pork (has never been dry and overcooked) and seafood. Good adult beverage selection and Indian drink (non-alcoholic) that are incredible. This is a must go to spot on the edge of Vilnius Old Town.

Nicely decorated place in great location, friendly staff. However, probably due to the location, food is overpriced considering the quality you get. Here are my thoughts and recommendations: + Butter chicken was amazing, definitely the best dish we ordered and I would recommend to have it with garlic Naan bread. - However, the Naan bread itself was very dry and bland, definitely worst I have ever had in restaurant. Such quality breads should be complimentary, but instead it costs 3.5 € per portion. - Vegetable Samosas were nice and tasty, but the cost was absolutely ridiculous, 10€ for a very small portion. - Mango Lassi... 6€ for a cup of yoghurt, and and believe me, you will not find the mango in there. I recommend to save those 6€ and go for dessert somewhere else.

Nice service. Food was tasty but the tandoori chicken was a bit without taste. It had spices on the outside but inside it was bland. But, Tandoori Lamb was delightful.

Went there for Sunday lunch. Had Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka with rice and garlic naan bread. Giving it 5 stars since food was amazing and staff is super helpful, polite and nice. Enjoyed every single detail. There was also some Indian traditional performances which made it even more special. Definitely coming back.

Location is perfect, service is excellent and the food is divine. I try to visit this restaurant every time I come to Lithuania and Vilnius, and every single dish has been delicious. Everything is full of flavour and cooked to perfection. For example the Afghani Chicken; those sauces are to die for and I have never tasted more tender chicken. In comparison to any other Indian restaurant I have been in, in any country, this is the winner. Also, their masala tea might be the best out there.

As for food, it was ok but nothing more. Portions were quite small for the price charged. We tried butter naan and garlic naan, both were way too dry and were rather crunchy and crispy. As for garlic 🧄 naan it was disappointing as it seems garlic powder was used on top of naan not an actual fresh garlic as is it is usually done. We ordered vindaloo and butter chicken. The meat inside curry was soft and nice and we were disappointed with the spiciness levels and overall taste. As for butter chicken sauce, it wasn’t made the way I like it, was lacking buttery taste and some more blended nuts. Waitress was nice and friendly.

I came for the food, which was delicious, but also enjoyed the beautiful decor and attentive service. My waitress, Tatjana, was great on her own, but the manager came by a couple of times just to check in. They made me feel special. I'm not used to eating much salt, and commented that as a result the soup tasted salty to me. They apologized and said that even the soup can be adjusted to taste and urged me to tell them any specific likes and dislikes next time. I particularly liked the orange-cashew-pistachio ice cream. They've recently completed a major renovation and filled the room with beautifully ornate furniture class in embossed metal. Here's a picture from before the room began to fill.

One of the best bars/ dining place u can visit in your stay whilst you are in Vilnius. Its close to the town square, Gediminas castle. The staff is realy nice and professional. Definitely i would recommend going to this place not only for a drink but for some awesome Indian kitchen foods that go perfect with a cold one beer. All in all add this place to your list of places to visit. :)

The best Indian food in town. Mr Chaudhary is keeping the standards high. It’s a little more upscale in pricing but delivers great value for the buck. One room for improvement I would ask is including a free bowl of rice with main dishes instead of charging extra for it.

Nice location Quite expensive for average food €10 per curry plus €3-5 for rice or naan seems quite expensive for average food. Korma did not resemble the creaminess it should and was rather watered down. I was missing the creamy cashew rich texture and flavor. Tandoori shrimp seasoned very well and the sauces were very flavorful however they were served cold. Kiwi lasi was very refreshing. A very nice touch from the owner was to come over and interact with the restaurant guests making sure that the food is good and everything is alright. The pitfall of this interaction is that a lot of native Lithuanians would not directly confront or complain if their expectations haven't been matched. I would recommend this place for beginners who have not had Indian food before and prefer a milder flavor palette.

This place looks, feels, smells and tastes Indian! Food is just packed with Indian flavours. Prepared and cooked with love and attention. Toughtfully served. Staff is nice. Try anything and you’ll love it. And for the finish - their great cold ice cream like desserts!

Situated in the heart of the city, opposite the Cathedral Square, Sue's Indian Raja is a fantastic, vibrant, flavourful restaurant with one huge flaw. The portion of the main dishes is very very little. It is such a shame because it contradicts the taste which is so great! I cannot believe that a 13 euro dish has only 5 tiny little pieces of chicken... Me and my wife, we both liked the taste and the overall service but we left feeling hungry... Nonetheless, if you have a tiny stomach and wanting to taste Indian cuisine then it's the place for you.

After a few days of European travel it was a relief to visit this restaurant for an evening meal , enjoy a bit of Hindi music and relish a few north India dishes. The chefs are from the Indian subcontinent and do justice to the authentic flavor, interiors are all designed in a rich Rajasthani motif and art , the promoters have paid attention to these things.

  • 1/5 Luisa E. 1 year ago on Google • 56 reviews
This Indian restaurant is strategically located next to the Cathedral Square, the interior is nice (although I don’t find it true to Indian culture) and they have both vegetarian and vegan options. The main dishes are NOT served with rice. I tried two vegan dishes - extremely overpriced, given how cheap the main ingredients are. Staff was unpleasant. One waiter would come and check on us multiple times during our meal and act a bit weird + when we asked something to another waiter she replied cold and fast, was quite rude. Would definitely not recommend this place.

Wonderful atmosphere with a fantastic view of a Vilnius Cathedral! The interior is kind of Indian, but not too much. The food is very good, looks simple, until you try it! Quality and taste is no. 1 priority of the restaurant for sure! Well, as this is Indian cuisine, there are a lot of spices, but everything is perfectly adapted for us - Europeans, so it matched my taste!

Really nice Chicken Tikka Masala. Wasn't busy when we were there. Naan bread was really top notch too. However this place is really expensive by Lithuanian standards (€40 for 2 of just one course) and I'm not sure it's really worth the price premium.

Easily stays the best Indian restaurant I've been to in Europe so far. Number one destination when in Vilnius. The seafood soup is just heaven on earth. Samosa is great and butter chicken is also amazing. The stuff is super friendly and caring. Last time we've been here 4 years ago and it already looked very good, but the new interior is just perfect.

The best parts about this restaurant was the service, decor and food presentation. The restaurant was beautiful and felt welcoming. Our server was gracious and helpful. The food was resented very aesthetically In lovely ceramics and featured pretty arrangements. The taste was just OK though, especially for the price. A nice place to bring a date but you could find better Indian food elsewhere.

I ordered butter chicken curry. I asked if it’s not spicy at all because I wanted to share with my baby. They said no but it was slightly spicy. Luckily my daughter could eat it with just a little bit of curry on lots of rice. I enjoyed it very much. Especially naan was really good.

Average overpriced Indian food. The menu is absolutely incomprehensible, the waiter did not give me clear explanations. The waiter also said that the side dish was included in the dish. In the end, for 13 euros I got 4 pieces of absolutely ordinary fried chicken without any side dish or vegetables. I asked the waiter for the bill and he disappeared. After 20 minutes of waiting, I asked another waiter for the bill again. On the receipt I saw a separate invoice for side dishes. I don't recommend this place.

Hands down the best Chicken tikka masala in Vilnius. Keep in mind however that prices are quite steep compared to other places in Vilnius that serve Indian.

  • 4/5 Thomas B. 4 years ago on Google
Lovely decor and service, although it's a touch pricey. The selection of dips are not the usual Indian ones we were accustomed to, but tasted fine. Might just be a variant from Hyderabad. Chicken pakora were nice, onion bajis different again, but not unpleasant. The tandoori chicken is not cooked in a clay pot, which it does state cooked via gas on the menu. Meaning it's not actually tandoori chicken, but was still nicely cooked. The lamb biyani was superb and flavourful. Unusually, it had quite a bit of heat, which explained why it came with raita instead of the usual sauce. Again, local variant. Overall, was a pleasant experience. Seating available outside, no need to book in advance.

😐 The staff was not friendly and seemed very unprofessional. I had to wait for at least 20 minutes before I placed my order, and the restaurant was not busy at all. Had to draw attention to myself to finally place an order. The food was mediocre, not worth the money. It was not served as described...
