Sensational food in a relaxed environment. The hot and sour soft-shell crab curry is the best food I have eaten in Canberra - deeply authentic and tasty Burmese cuisine. Service is excellent. Great aesthetic and fitout. Highly recommended and eat in if you can!

My wife took me here for lunch during a recent business trip to Canberra. We were warmly greeted and seated. The staff are happy and we could hear them singing in the kitchen in Burmese. We ordered, temura veggies and duck/onion puffs for for entree. We ordered a simple fried rice and a dish of crispy chicken. The chef sent out a dish of pork curry with mango pickle, just because he could. All I can say is "oh my god" the food was absolutely delicious, sort of in between Thai and Indian, a unique fusion of flavours. If you are ever in Canberra, find this wonderful restaurant and do yourself a favour you will not regret it.

Myanmar Corner was a grateful surprise. I've never checked that end of Casey shops until today. A friend invited us to go check as she was feeling adventurous (she's really not that type of foodie). The menu was not impressive as you see the usual names and the influences from Middle East, India, to the South-East Asia. But you'll find some tempting options once you get fooled believing you know it all. We had some Spring Rolls and the Brown Pea wrapped in Roti starters, followed by Pork Curry with Pickled Mango, Chicken Yellow Curry, Hot and Sour Soft Shell Crab and Crispy Spicy Fish, along with fried rice and some veggies (nicely grilled, not boiled nor steamed). All dishes got us very pleased and surprised. Each one brought a different feel and some unexpected hints of flavour. We closed with some desserts, all well prepared and served with a smile and care from Ay and the rest of the team. We'll be back.

The food here is delicious! We give 10/10 (including the kids) for almost every dish we’ve ever ordered. I look forward to coming here with friends or with the family every time. So proud to have such an amazing restaurant in my local area. Congrats to the owners for always seeming to have a full restaurant. And for all the staff being so friendly.

I liked that flavours of Myanmar, which is distinctly different than other asian cousines. Nice ambience with good customer service. They don't have a bar but BYO available.

If anyone is interested in Burmese cuisine, you need to try this place! I would highly recommend the traditional dishes such as pickled tea leaf salad, Mohinga, and Nan Gyi Thoke (and if you have a sweet tooth try the Falooda for dessert!). In addition to the excellent food, the staff are very friendly and the place is decorated with beautiful photos and items from Myanmar.

The food was amazing! So tasty and definitely food Australians will enjoy, but still authentic Myanmar food at the highest quality. The atmosphere is really nice and peaceful. The owners Ko and Aye are so friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try a new cuisine, particularly if you can’t take spicy food. It’s not spicy at all. There is something for everyone on the menu, you won’t be disappointed. Everyone who I came with agreed we will all come back again.

We had the $50 per person banquet meal, and it was delicious! The Pickled Tea Leaf salad was unexpectedly spicy, but tasted great. The kids wolfed down the grilled chicken skewers, we had to order more. I wanted more Shredded Duck and Onion Puffs, but everyone ate their share. And this was just the entrees! The mains were all great too. Going to come back to try the other dishes and edit this review.

Myanmar Corner was a wonderful dining experience, albeit hard to find near the Casey shops. Each dish featured vibrant flavours which were well balanced with plenty of texture. The Pickled Tea Leaf Salad was a great at starter. We were not accustomed to eating tea leaves which changed after this fascinating flavour combination! My highlight was the Mohinga which featured creamy fish in a mildly spiced broth. It didn't taste fishy at all and was a delight to consume. The Yellow Chicken Curry with Potatoes and the Nan Gyi Thoke were full of vibrant colours and flavours too. I would love to come back soon as the servers were friendly and helpful, and the food definitely worth the price.

Food was great, but the part that impressed me most was the fitout. Because of the design it was quiet and you didn't have to raise your voice to be heard by people at your own table. It was very pleasant. Highly recommended.

One of our favourite eateries in Canberra. Made our way almost through the whole menu, nothing has disappointed, a couple of bland picks, but outnumbered by so many delicious surprises ! We do like food on the spicy side, however never a problem to ask for fresh, pickled or dried chilli. The traditional fish soup and the samosa salad are amongst our favourite dishes. Staff are awesome, prompt, efficient and courteous. Lastly we love the acoustics at the venue, so good to be able to talk across a table even with a full house and busy kitchen !

A nice and new restaurant addition to Casey shopping centre. The menu looked quite appealing with a range of Myanmar/Burmese/Chinese inspired dishes. I had the National dish of mohinga, a fish based noodle soup. The dish was presented very nicely and had a number of elements. I did feel the dish was a little bland and lacked the umami-ness that would be expected. Overall a nice restaurant with ok prices, will come back again one day.

“This is my best day of my life”. - 4 year old. The dishes are varied with lots of good vegetarian options. And for those that want to enjoy mild dishes there are also some really nice mild curries such as the Masala Noodles. For the meat lovers. The crispy chicken and fish were full of flavour and great crispy texture. Service was spot on and the atmosphere is relaxing and spacious. Lovely!

A superb lunch while we were visiting family in Canberra. I can recommend the goat curry, samosa salad, deep fried fish, and pickled chili. Every dish was delicious. We asked for mild spice level and could have had tried hot. Lovely blend of spices to create interesting tastes to go with lovely textures. Service was very good. Plenty of parking unless you go when the shopping centre is very busy. Credit cards are accepted and there is disabled access.

Service was really quick. We came here because I got curious about trying out cuisine that we never tried before. Mohinga (a fish curry noodle soup) and the fried fish were my favs. Tea leaf salad was interesting, it has a surprisingly nice crunchy texture and freshness but beware there were fresh chopped bird-eye chilies in the mix. It wasn't much but if you couldn't handle the heat, it might end up as an unwelcome surprise. In the end, we loved all of the dishes we ordered. So it was a good experience.

My husband and I had a memorable lunch today at Myanmar. It was an absolutely wonderful meal. The lamb and lentil curry was very tender and tasty and we were offered the choice of how hot we wanted it. The crispy prawns with cashews was truly outstanding. Beautifully presented (wish I had taken a photo), huge tender battered prawns in a spicy sweet sauce with cashews and a scattering of vegetables to complement it. There was more than we could eat… but we ate it all anyway as it was so delicious! Very welcoming and friendly service. We can't wait to go back!

Loved the hot and sour prawn dish as well as fried rice I ordered!! Ordered lamb lentil curry but the lamb was on the chewy end. Overall really liked the ambience. I would order the prawn and Especially the fried rice again !

Myanmar Corner serves an amazing array of dishes. All dishes we ordered were packed with so much flavour. The falooda was unique as it had palm seeds which I have not encountered in faloodas prior to this. I would definitely recommend trying one on your next visit to Myanmar Corner.

They really know how to impress foreigners. First time ever trying Burmese, they made me love it already. The sweet and sour sauce soup of the soft shell crab curry is completely absorbed by the crab, every bite is a bursting experience. Their curry beef is tender and delicious. The tea leaves rice with crispy chicken is also very good, especially the taste of the tea-flavoured rice is amazing, with distinct layers, and every time you chew the rice, you can feel the sweetness of the tea leaves. All of the above amazed us so much and we will definitely be back for more possibilities.

One of our favourite places. Lovely food, great staff and they remember our order every week. We also love seeing the young boy reading and often helping mum out when she needs it. A Tuesday institution for us. Highly recommended.

Not sure if I came on an off day as the food was very different to what a lot of reviews describe. It was not horrible but was nothing special except for the Shredded Duck and Onion puffs which were awesome and very more-ish. The laksa was your average tasting Laksa, to be honest, i have tried better. We also ordered the Crispy Chicken with Cashews, i could count the cashews on one hand. The chicken was slighly crispy and the sauce was just ok. I will give this restaurant another go with different dishes to see if they are any better, but the flavours from the dishes I ordered were the same you get from average chinese restaurants.

Myanmar Corner is excellent for a bite. Not only are the people friendly but the food is awesome too. I've tried 2 entrees, 2 mains 1 hot drink and 1 special so far but I'm definitely coming back to try more (when my diet lets me!) The things I tried are: 1. Prawn spring rolls - it's actually a whole prawn, not mince which is different but awesome! 2. Shredded duck and onion puffs - definitely the highlight of the entrees for me. And the sweet and sour sauce that goes with it is something else! 3. Ong No Kaut Swal (Myanmar style Laksa) - it's semi sweet but I like my chili. Luckily there's sriracha and chili flakes (that are actually spicy) at the ready, along with soy sauce so it turned out quite well. Plus the noodles, which are not rice vermicelli (which I usually prefer) are quite enjoyable! 4. Spicy Crispy Fish - this was a standout for me. The infusion of lime really brought the dish to life! 5. Salt and Pepper Squid - this was ok, it was slightly spicy and enjoyable but the squid erred a bit too much on the overcooked side. But still it was nice and the outer coating was just the right amount of crispness! 6. Burmese milk tea - a sweet hot tea, but not over sweet and is refreshing after a substantial meal! Overall I very much enjoyed my adventures here 😊

This was a pleasant surprise. A friend recommended the food. I found no fault in the two starters and two mains we ordered. The service was pleasant and unassuming. As we ate the kitchen watched our absolute joy and it made us feel welcome. I hope this restaurant blows up but always has room for me.

Loved this experience. The food was devine, immensely flavourful and clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. The venue is stylish with a modern minimalist style and high ceilings yet it was heated to perfection inside. The staff were attentive and lovely to speak with. We had entrees, mains and desserts and everything was so delicious we can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

What beautifully served dishes and each had its own unique taste and flavours. I have eaten Burmese food before but only as a lunch takeaway.
