One of New York's best food places acting low key in the Queens center food court. Truly exceptional food, with more flavor than any Asian restaurant I have been to in NYC, with very good rates and portions. The Burmese sweet tea was so amazing that we got two of each. Very strongly recommend. They have authentic Burmese cuisine with interesting options like fermented tea leaf salad, mango salad and other classics like dum pot biryani, ohno kaukswe (chicken curry with noodle), their star palata with curry/ keema, other noodle dishes etc. They have good descriptions of the items and have vegan options for five of them. They also have a good set of desserts including falooda, shaved ice, mont lat sang (green tea based) etc. Strongly recommend the biryani, chicken curry and the sweet tea. Ample seating in the food court.

Very nice gem and unexpected find in the food court of a mall. The food is prepared immediately after your order (vs sitting in a hotplate). We got the Burmese bento box and the shan kaukswe, and both dishes were very flavorful. The curry is delicious and the chicken is very tender. The mango salad is soft (which I personally don't mind because it means it's sweeter) and I really like the cilantro that accompanies it, making it a refreshing bite to accompany the curry. They mixed the ingredients in the noodle dish and that was also very good. Great value too. Definitely worth trying.

South East Asian represent right here inside the Queens Center Mall’s food court! So many unique halal Burmese dishes to try! The chicken palata beats any roti canai served in the neighborhood. The tea leaf salad was super crunchy and their Burmese shaved ice was a sweet treat! Don’t forget to check their booth at Queens Night Market in Corona.

I had the chance to cross Burmese Bites off my bucket list, and it was a satisfying experience. Located in the Queens Mall food court, the Nan Gyi Toke (Burmese Udon Noodles salad with chicken) truly impressed me with its authentic flavors. The Shan noodles salad, however, didn't quite align with my taste preferences. They cooked with Halal meat. Nevertheless, I'm excited to return and explore more dishes from their menu. Next on my list is the Keema paratha. This spot definitely has potential, and I can't wait to discover more from their menu.

Spicy, delicious, dirt cheap. GO. This is what all of the hipster 'food trucks' want to be (or ought to be) but just aren't.

MYANMAR 🇲🇲 Eat the World NYC review: We first fell for the curry and fresh "palata" at summer events for the Burmese community ten years ago. Since then, Burmese Bites has grown through NYC street fairs and the Queens International Night Market, and has now opened up its own lunch cart in Court Square, Long Island City. All the food is just as good as ever, and more items have been added to the daily menu.

Hidden gem right here!! I ordered the ohno kaukswe noodle soup for lunch. The flavor is on the savory side with a splash of lime to give it the balance of flavor. Tbh the food here is pretty exotic and hard to find in other locations. I am a local from woodside and I really like this place!

Walking into the food court, I didn’t expect for any restaurant to be serving at the level of quality that Burmese Bites does. The low prices, short wait, fresh ingredients, and friendly owners make this place absolutely fantastic. The menu is streamlined and simple, and offers all kinds of great Burmese foods. I ordered the Ohno Kaukswe (Burmese Coconut Ramen/အုန်းနို့ခေါက်ဆွဲ) and was extremely happy with my choice. The cilantro and onion that garnished the broth and noodles were very fresh, and the coconut-based broth was so comforting. Such a great dish to have on a cold day. My friend got the Keema Palata—it was crispy and very well seasoned. The chicken curry roti was great as well, but above all, I would recommend the Ohno Kaukswe. Absolutely give this place a try. There’s a reason they’re so highly rated!!

This was my first time trying Burmese food. Wow. It was a game changer. We were at Japan Fest and were in line for the other popular items. This stall was a hidden gem. I ordered the Nan Gyi Kaukswe Thoke aka Burmese Udon Noodle Salad. We claimed this dish to be the best dish we tried in the whole food festival. Staff are genuinely kind and excited for you to try a piece of their culture. I really wish I lived close enough to order again!

Absolutely loved the food here. The kaukswe thoke (Burmese udon noodle salad) and ohno kaukswe (coconut chicken noodle soup) were phenomenal. The food was fresh and delicious and service was warm, friendly and honest. The price was very affordable too. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Only in Queens can you find such a gem of a family-run business in a sea of mega-chain food court restaurants. I tried the Ohno Kaukswe, and it was a perfect bowl of mildly spicy, rich coconut broth packed with chicken, cilantro, onion, soft boiled egg, and noodles. The flavors are beautifully balanced, bright, and fresh. Can’t wait to try more from the Burmese Bites menu!

Had to try this new spot in QCM! Love seeing southeast Asian culture being represented! Their portions are big and their food is super delicious! I hope they stay around because I’ll def be back to try other dishes! It’s also HALAL!

A hidden gem in my opinion. Not a lot of people know about Burmese cuisine which is heavily influenced by Chinese & Indian. Try Coconut chicken noodle soup, dum pot (Burmese chicken biryani), or tea salad. And Yes, I know the picture I uploaded in the review is an empty bowl because it was quite good & I didn’t even remember to take a photo until I finished eating it. Edit: *back to this place* still 👍🏽 pics are dry noodle dishes

Very good tasty food. And only for $6. Go visit the Chef cooking up his food fee from Burma in Long Island City or at Queens Night Market. Even his salad is Delicious.

Delicious, filling and cheap lunch. Had the chicken curry rice box which was huge and came with a hefty amount of mango salad, white rice and curry. Will definitely be back over the course of the summer! He accepts credit cards as well via square. Big advantage on other food carts. Sometimes there is a wait because the cart is so popular but it's worth it.

A Luckfind this early afternoon. Humble-sized Foodtruck specializing in a small selection of national classics for an affordable price of €6?/aka is there a deity watching over me? Visit worthy. More than visit worthy. Drop-everything-and-run there worthy. Not a restaurant therefore no Lahpet (tealeafsalad, a national delicacy) 8/10

This is my go-to place when I want to have wholesome Indian-adjacent food as I work nearby. I have tried all the items on offer and especially like the chicken noodle soup. Other than that, the Keema palata and the Burmese bites are also good. The owner of the food cart is also really sweet and friendly!

A couple co-workers of mine and I ate here for an early dinner. The customer service, halal food and drink options, and prices are great. I tried the Keema Palata which had a chicken and onion filling paired with a side of cucumber relish sauce. I kind of wished there were other sauces available for the palata such as something along the lines of a nuoc mam cham or a spicy sauce but maybe it is not traditional. As for beverage and dessert, I got the Burmese Sweet Hot Tea and Mont Lat Saung. It was perfect to end my meal with! All of the food is prepared to order so take caution with hot items.

Food was not great, salty and oily(see the oil on my hands, yuck!). Take a while to get your order too. Wanted to try this place for a while but never got around to it because the guy was kind of rude. Finally decided to try (because there was another cashier) and it was underwhelming. Idk why people put so much oil and salt in the food for customers. Also, the roti serving was small and there was only one tiny piece of potato even though the advertisement highlighted curry chicken and potato.

I usually go for Vietnamese food, but today I made a left turn and walked into this little gem. I ordered #10 (some kind of noodle soup dish) and shrimp chow fun (not the real name, but it's pretty similar). Both dishes were very delicious. I highly recommend this place. The staff were extremely nice, too, which is a plus.

Yummmmm the tea leaf salad!!! It was easily my favorite dish of everything our table ordered. So different-Burmese food I see you. We also got the coconut chicken noodle soup, mint chicken, tofu and veggie, and the bread with sauce app. Although we waited at least an hour, it was easy to chill at the bar with friends until our table was ready. I'm glad we got to check it out. Get the tea leaf salad!!!

Limited but authentic and tasty menu, well priced and prepared. A tiny food cart, the menu runs out a bit early. Rice and chicken curry was excellent. Keema palata was delicious. Plenty of city bench seating right beside.

Unbelievable. Had no idea it was going to be so good. I never had this kind of food before so I just picked it because of that. I got one of the cheaper things on the menu. It was so much food I couldn't handle it. What if I had gotten an actual meal? It is the most delicious thing I have had all week. If I'm back in the area I would come into the mall for this.

The rave reviews on their dum pot speak the truth, this is one big, generous, hearty and delicious dum pot for $8.95! The storeowners are really friendly and lovely people too, I'll be back to try their other items like the ohno kaukswe (coconut noodles) and laphet (tea leaf salad, which they make by themselves). If you like Burmese food, this is the place to go to, and if you have never tried Burmese food, this is definitely the place to begin with! Pro tip: on Wednesdays, they have mohinga.

I have been craving Authentic Burmese food for long time. I happened to stop in at this store in Queen Center and magically meet with the owner. He is super friendly and provided all I needed. Delicious, cheap eats from a food cart in Court Square in LIC. Thin, layered what flour flatbreads stuffed with spiced, minced chicken (keema palata) and a noodle soup with a chicken, coconut milk broth (ohno kaukswe) are standouts.

Holy Cow, this is a fantastic food truck. The chicken palata, rice bowl and the mango noodle salad, everything here is sublime. I am feeling so lucky to have such a great lunch option just in the vicinity. Keep up the great work dude, you need a restaurant to sell this food! Important info: 1. Credit cards accepted (yay) 2. Location is right next to the Court building, so don't get confused by another green colored mexican truck parked at Rafferty triangle.
