This place is remarkable. The food is fantastic, the cocktails are wonderful, and the atmosphere is lovely. The staff are friendly and helpful (and the robotic servers are a fun touch). The menu is (by my rough estimate) about half vegan options which is nice for groups with a range of diets. It is slightly more expensive than the other restaurants nearby but for what you get it's money well spent. Portions are reasonable for the price but I'd recommend getting the smaller size entree and adding an appetizer (Samosas are top notch). A reservation wasn't necessary for lunch but I suspect it would be wise to make one if you're interested in dinner. I can't wait to come back (even if it's just for cocktails and/or appetizers). If you haven't tried this one, you're really missing out.

My favorite restaurant in Beaverton! We shared pumpkin curry and okra stew! They came with perfectly steamed jasmine rice and a side of the best chili oil I have ever had. It was easily 2 portions so we have delicious leftovers! The golden samosas had a glimmer of gold dust and were amazing! Crispy outside and creamy inside. We also had dairy and dairy free hot teas, which were divine. All of the staff were friendly and had great recommendations. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed lunch time at their outdoor covered sidewalk tables while the farmers market was going on. Our server was very friendly, and even brought us extra tomatoes when we asked. We weren’t served by the robots since we were sitting outside. Overall presentation of all the food was great. Would definitely get the quail eggs and samosas again.

Phenomenal food! 5 of us decided to have dinner here, and didn't regret a second of it. The samosas were excellent, the beef curry was especially good. And their cocktails were out of this world delicious. Each was its own special blend of fruity with a light in the bottom of the glass to give it class. I highly recommend this and it has great vegetarian options too.

Top Burmese Bistro Royale sure is a top restaurant!! The chicken wings were amazing and very crispy. The chicken samosa was also great! Would recommend getting the chicken wing and samosa combo. The beef curry was delicious and very meaty. The paratha was incredible too!! Can get a little spendy if you get appetizers and dessert. There are also cute robot servers who bring out the food to you! Overall, I highly recommend Top Burmese Bistro Royale!

Tea leave salad and chicken curry are delicious! Tea leave salad is very special. It has several nuts and seeds with fresh lettuce. The dressing is not too sour, so even my kid likes it. The chicken curry with coconut rice is pricy. The portions of full size is relatively small based on the price. The atmosphere with the plants and lighting in the restaurant is relaxing. The robot services are fun! But there is staff wellness surcharge on the bill…which doesn’t seem necessary.

We had an amazing time with the super friendly and help staff including the robots who assist with delivering your food. We ordered quail eggs as the appetizer and that was delicious! You could pick an egg out and not get all the spices or you could spoon the spices over the egg and that was Soo good! I ordered the Chicken Curry with coconut rice and that was easily one of the best meals I've ever had. We enjoyed both the avocado ice cream. So smooth and the coconut ice cream. We will be back!

Love at first sight! Even for Beaverton! Parking is terrible but this part of town has become such a spot to explore for food experience. Walking in, there is heated (it's still cold winter) outdoor seating, and it actually feels comfortable and not cold. The outside ambience is inviting, as is, and then when you walk in, so much to draw you in, character ~ I am totally impressed. Came here on the recommendation of a friend...all about the robots serving food. My misunderstanding, and thought it was a ramen place, and the ramen place I wanted to go to had a long wait, so this was a "let's try that robot ramen place" moment. It's Burmese food, not ramen. I've not had Burmese food before. OMGoooooodness! So good! I had the coconut noodle soup with chicken, they have tofu option, and a space dust IPA. The soup was soooooo flavorful. My husband had beef rice dish. The hot Burmese tea is delicious! Someone was walking around with pretty drinks that lit up and I thought he asked if we wanted one, so I said sure, but apparently it wasn't a treat, it was our neighbor table's order, so after drinking it, and them wondering where their drink was, I bought the treat. Ha! Great experience! Keep it up! 🥳

Never had Burmese food before so my friend and I decided we had to try it! Food was great and very flavourful!! But the most fun thing were the robot servers!!! Being a Star Wars fan what fun it was "talking" to the server who answered with beeps and whistles like R2D2. Loved that when you pressed Done on the screen, it winked at you. Loved the bumper sticker that said, "Five Stars or Bust"! Definitely coming back with more friends!!!

The food was delicious! The service was very friendly, and it was nice to meet the cook and the owner, they came out to greet us and see how the food is. The cocktails are overpriced and outrages. Do not drink here!!! But definitely grab Yourself something to eat and the portions are big enough for 2 people

Made with love, cooked to perfection! Incredible family recipes with rich complex flavors, no doubt this is a top restaurant. And our server Damien is phenomenal! And it’s fun to see the robots bus tables. We had the Burmese Gold Samosas, the Shan Noodles, Chicken Curry with Coconut Rice, and the Coconut Noodle Soup with Chicken. Each dish is so unique and incredible. Try them out today!

I absolutely love this place. Down to the food, to the design. When you walk inside this store, there will be a crazy amounts of plants and the service that is very nice. The food is delivered by robots which I think is very cool and I decided to get the lemonade and the chicken curry with coconut rice (pictures down below). Moving onto the food, it is delicious. As said previously, I got the Chicken Curry and Lemonade. The Chicken Curry comes with chicken in a bowl, with rice and a side of pickled cucumbers which is a nice touch to the already delicious food. The lemonade is okay, not my type but I think there are other drinks that are better.

The food was amazing! My favorite was the "Shoo Share" Tea Leaf Salad, it was savory and delicious, and felt like much more than a salad. The portions were big as well!

Really glad we finally tried this place! The food was very flavorful, we were highly impressed with all the dishes we had. The ambiance was really pretty, lots of plants and earthy decor. The bartender was fun and upbeat, and THE ROBOTS! We had a fun time watching the robots run around and do their work. Definitely will be back to try more on the menu!

What a fun and unusual dining experience at Top Burmese Bistro Royale. Patrons are served by robot. I was fascinated by the process and had to learn how the robots knew where to deliver the food. This was the first time I had Burmese cuisine. My salad was crunchy and flavorful. The chicken wings were mildly spiced and crispy with scallions and peanuts. We had the good fortune to meet the owner and chat about the meals. The human staff is friendly and keep the robots moving. I highly recommend a visit to Top Burmese in Beaverton.

I stand embarrassed and apologise for checking your integrity as I confused your 1st street location in Beaverton with your (2)1st street location in PDX and saved the wrong number, then talked to someone on 21st street about their (same hours) availability before arriving at the first street location. I called the number tonight and found my mistake. BTW we were taking my mother-in-law for her birthday because we'd enjoyed the experience the first time. Thanks for clarifying cleanly!

I never had to eat here to tell this was going to be a bad restaurant. I was running a delivery for this restaurant that was 20 mins away and right before I got the delivery done, they called me telling me they forgot an item, in which I thought was very inconvenient. But I complied and came back. So then I drive 10 miles back to the restaurant to be pretty much ignored by the rest of the staff and when finally I asked about the missing item, they said did I open it, pretty much blaming me for the item missing. No sorry makes up for the time and money wasted for your mistake. Please take your money to another restaurant that treats people fairly.

Enjoyed my entire dining experience sitting outside on gorgeous late spring evening. My Dragonfruit Whiskey Sour was delicious! The chicken samosa were a great starter to share as was the Shoo Share Tea Leaf Salad! I love the crunchiness and unique flavors of this salad which I order on every visit! I tried the Beef Curry and it was delicious too! The service was lovely and the chef came out to great us also which was a perfect touch for a wonderful dinner.

The food was excellent, the drinks were great, the service was okay, the atmosphere was nice. We all enjoyed ourselves but each of us felt like it wasn’t a place we would go out of our way to go back to. The prices for both food and drink seemed a bit high for what you get, both in quality and quantity. The robot servers, and I mean literal robots I’m not insulting the wait staff, were fun and gave us all a good chuckle. It was slightly off putting that considering the amount of money we ended up spending there was an additional surcharge they add to help cover the cost of staff health coverage. That should be something the business owners take care of rather than passing off the financial responsibility to their customers.

Beautiful interior with lots of plants, low lighting, great mood setter and great outdoor seating. Friendly host and servers. Once I tried the food, I realized how PRETENTIOUS this place is. I have never tried Burmese food before, grew up eating Laotian and Thai food. Was looking forward to trying. Burma is in between Thailand, Laos and India. I thought I would be getting a taste of Southeast Asian flavors but instead I felt like I was at a low grade Indian restaurant with pretty decor. Smallest portions even at full size. Signature Dish Chicken Curry is not flavorful, came with coconut rice and vinegar cucumber. The flavor profiles do not even go together. Tamarind chicken wings not flavorful. Quail eggs is good. Chicken samosas is good. Burmese tea is okay. Think Taiwanese milk tea but not as good Appetizers are better than signature dish 🤔 Left still hungry and wanted to spend money but not at this place. This place needs to taste there food before going out. The owner must of spent more money and time on the decor than on actual food. Owner needs to call Gordon Ramsey for help. -1 ⭐ Tiny food portions -1⭐ Overpriced, flavorless food People that said the food was really good here must of been drunk. But try this place for yourself, just my opinion.

This is a gem of a restaurant. The menu has an array of options from vegetarian to cultural specific proteins. The appetizers are a great way to navigate the menu and quite delicious. The salads are shareable and full of color, spice and an abundance of flavor. The beverage menu, cocktail and non-alcoholic, has a dizzying offering of fun and unique ingredients that taste good too. We had the best service- attentive and knowledgeable. We sat outside so we didn't get to experience the robotic waiter (next time!). The location can present parking problems so plan ahead.

We went for lunch at Top Burmese Bistro Royale Beaverton location. The food and experience was delightful and relaxing. The really enjoyed the decor in the restaurant. By the way they have robots delivering drinks and food! We shared golden samosas (recommend by the manager) and beef curry with coconut rice. See you again robot! Yes, there are staff in the restaurant 😀

Nice place with good food. I would give this 5 star except for 2 things we didn't like. The initial wait time, from the time they sat us down to when they took order, was way too long. I have to add that they brought the food out quickly after we ordered, so maybe understaffed? Our server, Abdul, was actually super nice. 2nd thing, in my opinion, prices for the portions you get are too high. I don't mind smaller portions, sometimes even prefer them, but the price should be accordingly.

What an amazing place, I was trying Burmese for the first time and it was so warm, got me closer to my home, India. One of my friends suggested I try the place and so glad that it didn't disappoint at all. Went for dinner with friends and food was so good. We got Samosas, Parathas and Chicken curry, Okra curry and Tofu curry coconut noodles. Everything tasted so good, okra curry was a surprisingly so good. Decor is the winner as well, surrounding with lots of plants and greenery, definitely my kinda place 😄

  • 3/5 Duy Le A. 1 year ago on Google
The restaurant boasts beautiful interior design and ambiance, with stunning plants scattered throughout the space creating a great atmosphere. However, the lighting could use improvement as it is a bit dark. (I am fine with it but most of the people I went with have issues with it) In terms of food, the quality is mediocre and doesn't quite meet expectations. The flavor was faint & not 👊 punchy. There were somewhere the picture has more ingredients than what we got (we asked & they brought it out seperately) There's a robot delivery, which can be entertaining for some people, it does the job well. Additionally, the price is a bit high, considering the portions are on the smaller side. Furthermore, the online ordering process is not very user-friendly, causing delays and frustration for customers. I love the tech incorporation but it need to be frictionless. I think it can be a great date spot, light meal, go for the drink or if you want to explore the cuisine. Overall satisfied experience 👌 not a raving fan.

Overall, a good experience. We had the Coconut Noodle Soup w/ Tofu, All-Star Okra Curry (Vegan Option) and Shan Noodles w/Organic Tofu (Vegan). Overall the food was great. The Okay Curry we thought was a bit more spicey than we wanted (it would have been great to have an option to dial down the spice!). The Coconut Noodle Soup was the best of the lot; must-try and absolutely delicious. The Shan Noodles was very average; I wouldn't probably have this again and might try other stuff. We did a pick-up and hence didn't get to utilize the great ambience that the restaurant had. Would love to dine-in next time.

I have been here twice now and can’t wait to come back again to celebrate my dad‘s birthday. I absolutely love the atmosphere, and the food is really really delicious. So far I’ve only tried the coconut noodle soup with chicken but that’s because I love it so much. Their drinks are tasty and come in really fun light-up glasses. They have servers who help you but it’s the little robot trays that bring you your food which add to the fun atmosphere. All of the plants may be fake, but I don’t care because it feels like you’re eating inside of a beautiful greenhouse, yet still has an urban bar feel. Family friendly but also a fun date night spot. Fabulous menu, including several delicious vegan options. Parking can be tricky - that’s the only downside. Highly recommend!

  • 4/5 Erin Ogden G. 7 months ago on Google
Garden chic space with adorable robot waiters, we were quite optimistic. Good drink selection, including wine and beer. The tea leaf salad was a bright, unusual delight of flavors. We got the spicy version and quite enjoyed it. But everything else we ordered was fine, not fantastic. Samosas were bland with a not supportive sauce. Quail eggs were bland unless coated in the chili crunch where all you could taste was garlic. Both chicken and beef curries were one dimensional and (as explained in the menu) quite heavy on the oil. Biggest disappointment in the curries was how tough the meat was. For a low & slow style of cooking, I expected meat to be more tender and moist.

  • 5/5 Ryan 7 months ago on Google
Love the interior space! Lots of greenery and very zen like. They serve food and drinks via a robot which is fun. Shan noodles were great. Kneaded fish rice was — interesting. I’m not 100% familiar with Burmese cuisine but it seems a bit strange listing this dish under the curries section when this isn’t a traditional curry over rice dish. It was tasty but not what I was expecting. Recommend the servers inform customers of this when ordering.

A really great and fun experience! The quail eggs and the pumpkin curry were the best! The burmese cake was also a fun new experience. I highly recommend.

Excellent in every way. So glad they came to Beaverton. Fish rice is my favorite. My spouse loves the beef curry. Takeout delivery by a robot! Very safe and very cool. Why doesn’t this place show up on Maps?

Excellent dinner! I am a fan of Indian and Thai food, and Burmese seems to be a delightful middle ground between the two. I had the pumpkin curry which was warm and wonderful on a chilly evening. The samosas are INCREDIBLE as well. Well worth a visit!

This place is awesome!! I ordered the green tea salad which has the perfect crunch and spice factor!! Absolutely delicious! My friend got Khao soi which was also delicious- lots of tofu and not at all sweet! Definitely going back to try everything else on Menu

Fantastic food and service! We were seated across the street at the wine bar and ordered food from here for pick up. Unfortunately, I placed the order online with the NW 21st location by accident. Bonehead move on my part but this location took care of us and delivered our order to our table across the street within 10 minutes. This is the kind of above and beyond service that earns repeat customers and we will definitely be back. The food smelled and tasted great. I had the chicken curry with coconut rice and my wife had the Shan Noodles. Both were excellent.

First time here and the food was delish! The setting is very warm and inviting. Staff was pretty good, maybe a tad over extended. But Bonus for the night - they have a robot that brings the food. That's another first for me!

I'm going to be cheesy. I can't help it. We had Top Burmese for the first time at the beginning of COVID-19 quarantine when we were trying to support a local business and realized there was a Beaverton location SO very close to us. We have had it 3 times pick up and today we finally got to eat OUTSIDE (thank you smoke for leaving us finally,) and eat AT the restaurant. First off, the server, who I think may have been the owner (and chef's) daughter, was wonderful. Welcoming and friendly. She also offered a special cocktail she made with Midori to us to try which looks like a REALLY fun and creative Halloween cocktail. The food when we picked up: PERFECT. It was SO delicious. SO filling. SO fresh. And truthfully it was SHOCKING how fresh and good it was for ordering it for pickup. But let me tell you, visiting IN PERSON, put me over the top. I got to try the Rainbow Salad (all the salads are Vegan,) and it did NOT disappoint. The rainbow of colors and flavors and textures just made me feel like I was in culinary heaven. I didn't have anything to eat prior to this large salad, and I had to stop myself from devouring it because it was THAT good. We also shared a Sun and Moon salad, which thanks to other Yelp reviews, we knew was a chef's special that you can order in person which has the Green Tea Salad/Ginger Salad. Y'all FLAVOR. The Green Tea has a punch of basil and the Ginger had such strong acidity and flavor. OMG. I was moaning about going to lunch here because I didn't see the full menu with these salads on Yelp (go to their website,) and wanted something fresh but not heavy. I didn't feel like anything like a soup or curry that would make me feel hot or heavy bellied and the Rainbow salad was EXACTLY what I wanted. The roasted garlic crisp was my favorite part every time I got a crispy bite of it! The service was great, my cocktail was great, the food was perfect. Just perfect. And it felt safe and good with masks and COVID precautions. Thank you SO much for a wonderful lunch! We will be back in a week at the longest!

I stumbled upon this place randomly and I am so happy we dined here. The service was perfect, the interior is incredible and the outside dining set up is much appreciated. Clean with heat lamps. The food is so delicious! I had the chicken noodle dish and the curry chicken and I loved them both. Really generous portions with tons of flavor. I cant wait to come back after covid and sit inside but for now I am incredible grateful this place is open and serving. So good!

Hands-down our favorite restaurant in Northwest and Beaverton! We’ve been to both locations and now that we live in Tigard, we love going to the location in Beaverton. Both locations are beautifully decorated, cozy, eclectic and the service is always outstanding. And we absolutely love the food and cocktails. I love sitting in the tents in the Beaverton location and enjoy the complimentary hot tea that keeps us warm. They are going above and beyond to make folks enjoy the experience. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job and we look forward to continuing to visit!

The food at Top Burmese is excellent! I have ordered to-go food from them twice and both times have been really easy. My food was so good the first time, that I tried ordering almost identical items the second time with slightly different flavors. Both times the food was really good, but I now definitely have some favorites and recommendations. For an appetizer, it is all about the Samosas, as they have great flavors and crunch. Although it is barely a “salad” with the amount of noodles, the Chicken Noodle Salad is really good; the sauce they use has a nice tang. To finish it all off, the Beef Curry w/Coconut Rice is great; I recommend getting a full or double serving to have some extra for the next day. I can’t wait to continue dining here and trying more combinations. I will be surprised if I tried anything that I don’t like.

Everything about this place is great, but if you're looking for a good cocktail don't bother. The Food, amazing. The atmosphere, great!! I've even been lucky enough to meet the head chef a few times, very sweet woman! However. I understand the markup on cocktails in restaurants and know that places tend to skimp on the liquors, but when your drink is just one giant ice ball with a few sips and costs $10.75, and the liquor is just midori, I would say that's a straight up ripoff. Still, this place is too good to hold that against it. I will still come back, but stick to beer.

Nice decor inside, nice adjustments to the current pandemic, including a cute robot that delivers your silverware. It was slow on a Friday night which was nice because it contributed to a nice quiet evening. The menu is light on variety but the flavors were all solid. The curry was richly flavored and we'll balanced with the coconut rice. Beverage menu was a little more extensive though my friend ordered the fresh coconut drink and received it in a glass, must have run out of coconuts. Will visit again, and I hope they are able to make it through the hardships businesses are facing during this time.

We finally had the chance to try this lovely spot. We sat outdoors under cover and had a wonderful meal. The curry tofu with coconut rice was amazingly delicious. Delicate flavors, perfect amount of spice, subtle and warming. The staff is fantastic and while we didn’t sit indoors, we did step in and were thoroughly impressed with the beautiful interior. Well done and welcome to the neighborhood - we’ll be back!

Very nice spot and the staffs are extremely friendly. The hostess/ waitress was good and fast with orders and very attentive. I think it was the owner that came put several times to check on tables and even brought out food. On our way out, I think the chef came out to greet folks as well. Food was good, little salty side, but I think we have been eating at home for a long time due to COVID and not used to it anymore. Will come back, not a bad spot, very comfortable. No parking lot, but we paked right in front.

  • 5/5 David D. 3 years ago on Google
Beautiful interior. The tables outside during covid are also lovely and well spaced. The food has many influences, with an okra curry that is spicy, a squash curry that is rich and sumptuous, and delicious salads.

Finally, I get to eat the foods that are very close to my heart in Portland. The foods that they served are very authentic to what I used to eat in my home town(Burma). Their kneaded fish rice and coconut noodle dishes are my favorites. Definitely will go there for those dishes, whenever I missed my country. Besides those great dishes, their services are great, they will make sure you have the best dining experience.

Great food, poor service. We ordered take out to eat while we were at the wine bar across the street. We were told it would take 15-20 minutes to get to us. 45 minutes later, we called to check on it and they assured us they were bagging it up. About 10 minutes later they came, but brought the wrong order. It was delicious, but wrong.

Appetizers: tamarind wings and samosas. Main dish: Khao Soi and the pumpkin curry Desert: sweet partha Loved each and every dish! The pumpkin was tender and the curry was flavorful. The samosas came out warm and crunchy. I highly recommend this place and will be returning. Note that this menu is slightly different from the menu of the NW 21st location.

Live the gluten free and vegan options. That ginger salad too.... So wonderfully done!

Seriously so cute! Wonderful ambiance, great drinks. And the food was beyond what I expected. Truly cooked to perfection. Will be back very soon!
