I was traveling alone, so I was looking for a good but casual restaurant near where I was staying. The concierge recommended this place which was 5 minutes walk from the Pullman hotel. It was totally safe walking to get to the hotel. The restaurant was very popular among expat community. The server was very helpful trying to find me a table tucked in the booth, so I had my own space without being seen that I was dining alone among many group of people around. I ordered watermelon juice, Burmese tea salad and chicken curry with pea rice. I recommend requesting juice without sugar - sometimes they add sugar water. Chicken curry was absolute must to try. The meat falls apart so easily! The curry isn’t the Indiana style - more tomato paste base than spicy Indians curry. Highly recommend their tealeaf salad. Very flavorful dish. Service was really good, friendly staff. I wish I had a chance to try many more dish.. hope to go back in near future.

Delicious beef curry which reminded me of the beef rending I ate in Kota Kinabalu in 2019. I am looking forward to sampling other things on the menu. Only downside is they advertise Burbritt craft beer and haven’t stocked it for a long time, something they need to remedy but the food gets 5*.

(Tourists, check my update on the menu!) Come here with an old friend, and had a good time in a renovated dining area on the second floor of a colonial old building. All food we've tried is excellent in balance and the beverages are must-try.

I had village style beef curry paired with cilantro and lime rice. It tasted very delicious but the beef wasn't as tender as the previous times I had there. But I'd still recommend this dish.

It’s rather hard to find as the Grab drop off point is not accurate.. I was rather thrown off by the entrance at first as it was dark and there are men loitering around the first floor entrance. But no worries, they are friendly and they pointed me to the door. Climb up the flight of stairs and voila ~ you’re in a really cute restaurant. Service was amazing and attentive. I loved the interior decor. The food was so-so but for the price, it was good enough.

The food is well presented with style but no taste. Food is very expensive. It's a quite a beautiful place with nice set up and beautiful furniture. Drinks are ok but that's it.

Though the decor was nice, it was echo-y and loud. They only played one song on repeat the whole night. Then there was the food - disappointing! Garlic Stir-fried Squids came as flavorless deep-fried calamaris. The roti was more like the Mission tortillas. It was clean and "safe," but given the costs, better value and tastier options can be found elsewhere in the city. Would not recommend!!

Overrated. We were misled by the positive reviews and went there with a friend who is visiting Myanmar for a first time. Outdoors area has all the problems like mosquitoes, without a view - walls are too high. Portions are tiny, for example curries come in a small bowl with food barely covering the bottom. Menu prices may look ok, but considering the amount of food it is ridiculously overpriced. Tea leaf salad was brought with a slice of lime, chilies, garlic and dried prawns on the side. I'm not against DIY, but whole chilies and a garlic clove plus no knives at the table? My biggest problem was the beer. From the menu I ordered a draft Myanmar Premium, listed at 500 ml and price of 3000. What I got was a tall and skinny glass that was way far from 500 ml. In my bill the item appeared as Myanmar Premium Draft 330 ml with a price of 3500. Seriously? Staff were polite, friendly and quick. Food was a bit tasteless, below average, probably too heavily "adjusted" for the western clientele.

Went on a business trip and my local colleagues took me here. Walking into an old colonial building and you’ll discover this beautifully decorated Burmese restaurant which serve delicious local food. I wished I stayed longer in Yangon to come back here!

Ambience with vintage look. Chicken Curry is good and portion is okay to share for two. Beef Curry is tender and delicious; must try one here. Bamboo rice and vegetable tempura is nice to try as well. Eggplant curry with turmeric smell, it should be cooked a bit more to make it disappeared. Assorted vegetable plate didn’t meet the expectation and not attractive at all, it should include more variety of veggies than that. Tea is okay. Price is a bit overrated. Food should be improved to be in line with price.

One of the best restaurants I ever went. Everything was just perfect: taste, location, service. All the dishes we ordered, from the main to the dessert, were really really delicious and curated also in the presentation. Very nice drinks too! Good value restaurant! I strongly reccomend this place if you are in Yangon.

Entrance may or may not turn you off. I wish they were on the first place like Rangoon tea house but this building wasn't designed that way. It's worth going upstairs for the drinks and modern takes on traditional Burnese food. Both non-alcoholic and alcoholic are great, especially, love the sugar cane drinks in tall glasses and their house specialty cocktails. The food is gentrified and costs more than a local food stall or open air restaurant but then you wouldn't be seated in a partially restored colonial style building. The service can be hit or miss and a bit slow. Some servers have better English than others.

An upscale place for dining and some booze in Yangon. They offer unique dining experience from its location where you wouldn’t notice it at first as the building looks run-down but you will be surprised with the cozy ambiance inside. The food is more of a local dish with a twist to cater to travellers from around the world. I have been there twice. Highly recommended!

Food quality was OK, but too oily. Did not hold up to the fancy presentation. Very overpriced for what it is. Staff just friendly enough but seem misplaced and sort of brooding. After we left, we found a random position was added to the bill. Had to come back to claim the money. Manager said it was a mistake, but reading the reviews, this mistake seems to happen sometimes. Personally i don't know what the deal is but the manager didn't seem to be sorry for what happened and only begrudingly gave the refund. Make of it what you will - I can't recommend this place and advise everyone to be cautious and check the bill immediatly.

I was busy killing mosquitoes during my dinner i can't even enjoy the drinks and food alright. Just look at the mosquitoes i killed in the pictures. Drink wise, sugarcane cocktails were good. Food wise, satay skewers were good. Pricey in myanmar standard.

We going it quite funny when we were standing in front of the building wondering where the restaurant was. And then a local man said something and pointed at the building inside. We found it quite a big different comparing the ground floor and the restaurant itself. The staff can speak English and the food was excellent. We enjoyed our dinner here. We were surprised to have the wonderful taste of the food and quality of food was very fabulous. We highly recommend this restaurant for travellers.

FANTASTIC!! Beautiful place, great fresh and tasty food, large selection of wine (the cellar at the second floor is fantastic). For a drink upstairs on the balcony or dinner at the first floor of this beautiful building, you will never expect such beauty from the outside. Fresh food such a spring rolls, great and inventive salads. The staff is wonderful and super efficient.

I didn't expect anything from Myanmar food, but I stopped by and found this restaurant on the 2nd floor, which was very delicious, beautiful, and had a nice atmosphere. Garlic is heard on the whole. Mango juice has also become a recovery drug in hot Myanmar.
