What an amazing place ! Lovely setting, beautiful rooms and delicious food. The managers are lovely and will do their best to accommodate you during your stay.

We have been to Castelo do Mar several times and we always had great time. Amazing food, lovely spot and very friendly and kind staff. Unfortunately they changed their Director/Manager. He pretends to be very professional and serious but he is not. We booked to spend a day with our colleagues, expecting to be treated as always but he completly changed all the menù, rules etc...without informing us. We had to pay much more than we expected and the food was not what we agreed and the pool was super dirty due to problems with the pump. Such a pity.

The place is beautiful, on top of the water/ small pool nice garden. The food is absolutely horrible. Soggy calamari and bread. Even the toast was horrible. Really bad. Staff is not super friendly they act like they are doing you a favor and they are very slow

Castelo Do Mar might be situated in the bay of Inhambane, Mozambique, but soon after your arrival, it feels like a private island! With so much beauty, and the best sunsets i have ever seen, even the photos look fake and edited! Well, lets start at the beginning of our awesome 7 day family adventure. We took a flight from OR Tambo via Maputo to Inhambane with LAM Airlines. All the flights were on time. Upon our arrival, a driver from Castelo Do Mar picked us up from the airport, and took us to the bay where our boat was waiting. After an awesome boat ride across the bay, we arrived at Castelo Do Mar, and received welcome drinks as we got off the boat. We were taken to our stunning inter-leading rooms, with the beach 5 meters away from the patio. The one room had a super comfortable king size bed and the second bedroom 2 x single beds for the kids. Both rooms had ensuite bathrooms. We were served delicious breakfast each morning, awesome lunch and 3 course dinners. Christmas day was a real spoil with music on the deck, and delicious food. There was so many activities to choose from and all non motorised water sports was included. We took a boat trip to White-sands and had lunch at Neptunes in Barra, and some snorkelling on the way back. We also took a trip to Pansy Island, collected Pansy shells, and snorkelled around the island and saw loads of star fish! The kids had fun for hours being towed behind the boat and Jet Ski on the tubes. We want to thank the owners Darin & Lisa as well as their awesome committed staff for the most adventurous experience. We cant wait to come back soon.

It is a really nice place. The waves are soft because it is a bay, which makes it safer for kids. They have water sports and fishing activities. Even though the food took 1:30 (one hour and 30 minutes) to be ready, it was really worth the wait. I já chicken and coconut rice. Really good ! Accompany it with an R+R. I leave the following reccomendations: Leave dish cloths when people move over, in the self catering houses. Also, more cutting knifes and cooking spoons (have at least three different sizes). Also serving bowls, for food. So that we do not put pots on the table. All the rooms should have abajus (bed side lamps) for late readings. Unfortunately, the wifi was not working. And there is no cable on the tv. Just a mere television. No dstv, no zap, nothing.
