Disappointing. The restaurant is built without regards for its stunning location (ie no views at all). The service is non existent leaving you with a feeling that you are not welcome. We went for the rugby only to find they do not have amplified sound for the TV which basically means no sound for a rugby match! Food options looked mediocre at best. We left for Sunset Lodge nearby and what an amazing change in every regard.

If you like thumping music all day and most of the night then you'll love this place. Apparently the music attracts young people who then buy lots of alcohol at the bar/restaurant which seems to be how their profit is made. If you're staying over then you have no option but to listen to the latest Afrikaans hits at high volume, think doef-doef-doef most of the time. So if you want peace & quiet then stay away! The chalets are barely 2 star but at least the beds are comfortable. The pool unfortunately gets busy with non-staying guests during the day leaving little space for residents. Sunsets over the lagoon are stunning, best viewed from the beach, not the lodge. Edit: The thumping music went on until 2am Saturday morning, so is it a club or a lodge, trying to be both just pisses off the residents. So we will never ever stay here again, nor will we buy their drinks or eat in their restaurant.

To be quite honest, this place can be absolutely wonderful. However our experience was somewhat disappointing. The service received was ok, however can be better. It was really confusing just get our drinks, and even more frustrating to just get our food. The food was good and the chilly sauce a must try. (our order was misplaced, lost, or simply not understood) The kids enjoyed to pool.

Interesting experience that saw me leave when the rugby test kicked off (literally). I went to White Sands because it advertised spitbraai buffet and rugby. However, when the game started, having been there for 2 hours already, there there was no confirmation / indication / communication on when the food will be ready / served. Besides this, drinks service was very slow, with waiters (although there) not to be seen, requiring orders to be made at the bar (service slow). The cherry on top was when play began, the rugby test could be seen on the single television display, but not heard! The already limited TV sound was competing with the pool area's loud sokkie music. All in all, very disappointing!

The worst holiday in Mozambique ever. We love camping and booked from the 17th December to 2nd January via a agent. On the camping site we had no water for the first 2 days, complained and they fixed it. We had no warm water , no fresh water for the rest of the stay. The tap was leaking so the entire bathroom was under water and only on day 10 they sent someone to fix it. We had to beg to clean the dustbins, only cleaned it twice. We had to pay someone to clean the braais as that also don't get cleaned. I won't even get to the load music, drunk people , as our camp was next to the road leading to the bar so racing drunk people 3 o'clock in the mornings was a regular occasion. One day 10 we couldn't take it any longer so packed and left. The remaining days per person was reimbursed but not the stand fee and also still waiting for the deposit to be refunded from the agent. The palm flies were everywhere. You can't sit outside. We are still covered in bites . Even the sand flees at the bar, we had visitors and they will never return. Well booked the pansy , seehourse , snorkeling trip at White sands ,that included preggo rolls as lunch. Our guide took us to pansy island, he then realized that they never packed the meat for the preggo' s said we must snorkel on pansy island for a hour and then returned to white sands. At white sand we complained , they appolized, said that there was a misunderstanding between 2 bookings and they put us on the boat cruise boat. They promised us the preggo rolls but waited 2 hours and had to ask again. We booked a deep-sea fishing after promises was made they will make up for the bad experience. We paid after they quoted us 15 000 mts , and then changes the price to 20 000 mts . On the 26th December at 5oclock we arrived for the fishing trip but there was no one. 6 o'clock the skipper came from the boat said the wind is to strong so we can't go out. He also said that should have informed us as no food was prepared for the trip and they new that we are not going out. Very bad communication, as our friend drove from Inhabane to join us . Never again.

The most beautiful views at sunset from this restaurant! My boyfriend proposed to me at sunset in front of the restaurant and management was so kind to assist with this. The pool is beautiful and it had a good vibe, but the best part is definitely the amazing views over the estuary at sunset! Unmatched. We will have to come back regularly!

Our fav spot for camping. Camping fees were very steep, and per person. The fees shot up in past 3yrs to double what we paid for camping in the past.

Amazing place, it can be reached by any car. Nice restaurant with testy sea food and local. Local beverage and much more. Also donโ€™t forget to visit the islands .

We were there in the off season so it was quiet, but I can imagine it could buzz in high season!

Not good at all. Bad equipped log cabin. Bad music form early afternoon till late. Owners that care more about lazing in the pool than taking care of their guests. Dirty pool, bad electricity and water problems.

Good food - try the calamari or venison burger. Casual dining by the pool, watching the tide rise in the estuary. Flamingos and wide open sand flats disappear under water and boats
