It was good. I wouldn't say fantastic and I can't say we will go out of our way to go back. The burnt ends were good but the fried plantains they came with were disgusting and rock hard. I think the half chicken was just ok. Needed more bbq sauce but I didn't really care for their sauce either. It had an odd flavor to it I couldn't quite place. The portions were decent and the prices weren't bad.

Some of the most delicious BBQ I've ever had!! All the food is so good, perfect amount of smoke and sauce. For your side, definitely get the dirty grits! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are on point. Plenty of parking. Would highly recommend!

Definitely one of the best in the area for its traditional smoked dishes. Lots of food too! Enjoyed it very much.

Can we talk about this short rib?? Wow! It’s huge, flavorful, tender…definitely recommend. The meatloaf is also to die for. The smoke isn’t overpowering but definitely puts a unique twist on a comfort food favorite.

We hadn’t been here in a couple years and the food was not nearly as good as I remembered. The brisket was very dry, sausage had no flavor, and mashed potatoes were bland. Kinda disappointed for the price. The appetizer burnt ends were like eating rubber. Service was good…. I’m sure we’ll stop and try it again but there seems to be several recent reviews saying the same.

We made reservations on our way to Cleveland for a show. We got right in. The bar side was very busy (530) rest of the restaurant not as much. As the night rolled on most of tables around us filled up. The sever was friendly and attentive although when we asked about any specials she didn't not mention that we where still in happy hour. Food wise, we ordered the nachos with chicken for an app. I will say they are kinda boring with large amount of cheese sauce large pieces of chicken not shredded and barbecue sauce. My boyfriend missed the normal tomatoes lettuce etc that one usually sees on nachos. The cheese sauce for me was very spicy. The chicken was tender and good. Lucky for us they were half off for happy hour which we discovered at the end. My boyfriend and I shared a three meat platter choosing the brisket (up charge) ribs and pulled pork. You get two side as well as corn bread. We chose the Mac and cheese and onion rings. All the meats where good, had great flavor and pretty tender. No complaints. The onion rings where soggy and I did not care for the batter or flavor. The mac and cheese was super peppery almost over powering and was the only flavor I could taste. My son got the mac bowl with pulled pork. He said it was good which is what I expect from my 16 yr old lol. Over all a good experience.

We stopped by for a late dinner and had Pan Fried Catfish, Crab Cakes, Caesar Salad, and IPA. Catfish was crispy and good but I didn't care for grits. Crab Crab cakes were good with spicy sauce on top. Service was good. Overall, it was good. I understand many places have difficulty but they charged a 7% Temporary Inflation Surcharge so it added up a bit.

My boyfriend and I love trying new bourbon. This is always the place to be to do it! The smoked meats are also all so tender and delicious. The portions will fill you up and then some! 10/10 will always go back as a treat when in the area!!!

This place has definitely gone down hill!! I asked for vegetables of the day which was broccoli they brought me Brussel spouts and said they changed them without letting me know! They were missing 3 things on the dessert menu. It was just a terrible experience.

Went here at 530 on Saturday night 2/10/24. The last several visits have been nothing short of dissapointing . The waitress was great on pur last visit , but the food quality & availability was lacking. My wife ordered a burger which came with a side , so she chose the fresh vegetables of tge day which was broccoli. The waitress brings out the food and what was supposed to be broccoli was a cup of the worst prepared Brussel sprouts we've ever tasted. When we asked about the broccoli she ran into the kitchen and returned with the explanation that they ran out of the broccoli and never told the wait staff??? We were going to order desert but they were also out of 3 of the 5 available choices on the table desert card. All this at 6 pm????? We used to love this place but over the last several months, it's definitely on the downward side😥

Popular BBQ place with solid menu of favorites, including burgers, Brisket, salads, and other entrees. I had the Embers Burger that was cooked properly and delicious. I chose sweet potato fries as a side that were pretty typical and nothing special. The cheesy succatash is always yummy and I should have had it instead. Service was good. Patio dining available. Party room to side. Good desert menu, if you have room! And of course, a great list of bourbon is available.

Oak and Embers is a great spot. I’m a big fan of the beet salad with fried goat cheese. It’s delicious with a great combination of flavors. I had it with the strawberry vinaigrette! 🥗

Says they are open till 11:00 but they start vacuuming around you at 9:50. It gives the impression they want you out at 10:00. Food is normally pretty good, but brisket this time was literally all Fat.

Don't let it's quiet and unassuming location fool you, this BBQ punches above it's weight. Delicious sauce, great burgers and friendly service the couple of times I've been here. Definitely recommended for a lunch or dinner. (Honestly, I hesitated writing this review because I'm worried word might get out and make it hard to get a table 😭)

Nice atmosphere, service was good. Soda machine was being tended to so server noticed drink was flat and brought a new one which was nice. The chips for nachos are quite heavy, dense and dry. Some folks prefer them that way so, if you are one of them, this is your place. The pulled bbq was good!!
