    Beware! The management of this motel operates with impunity and does not care whether you give bad reviews or not. Their only response to any negative experience is placating rhetoric. They DO NOT make any attempt to make things right with the customer. This was the worst motel I have ever stayed in. It was a dump! The carpets were nasty. The sheets were stained and smelled like sweat. The room had a musty odor and smelled like a dirty gym. The fan speed was broken on the AC unit and some of the LEDs did not work, which made it almost impossible to adjust the settings. The LED on the smoke detector continuously flashed every few seconds making it difficult to sleep. It looked like a strobe light at night! The faucet plate for the bathtub was loose and dirty. The in-room safe was broken. The room had no refrigerator or microwave. Some of the towels had stains on them. We reserved two adjoining rooms, but were given rooms that were separated by three rooms. The attendant told us that we would just have to deal with it because they were booked. There was no room service the first morning of our stay and we had to search for clean sheets, towels and wash clothes. Only a few towels were available, but no wash clothes or sheets. We made a trip to Cedar Point and got back late in the early morning hours of our last day. We asked the front desk attendant if it would be possible to get a late checkout for 1:00 PM. The attendant assured us that it would not be a problem. They wrote down our room information and told us to have a good night. A desk clerk banged on the door of my nieces' room at 10:30 AM and kicked them out of their room. My nieces were startled and frightened. They rushed to pack up their belongings while the room service attendants barged into their room. My nieces made their way to the lobby scared to death. They were so startled that they didn't think to call me and tell me what had happened. The desk clerk then banged on my door at 11:15 AM yelling that check out was at 11. I answered the door and told the person that we had a late checkout. The attendant yelled, "OH ABSOLUTELY NOT! YOU HAVE TO GET OUT!" We called the front desk and were told that we did not have a late check out and we had to get out. We got our belongings together and rushed to the lobby. We attempted to talk with the management, but they ignored us and would not acknowledge us. If you like dirty motels with rude staff, then this is your place. If you want something decent, better go somewhere else.

    Decent highway exit hotel with breakfast. PF Chang's, a steakhouse, and a good Mexican restaurant are all walkable. It's a grouping of 3-4 hotels so feels pretty safe. Front desk didn't program my key for my room so I had to drag my bag back and forth. The desk wasn't manned much and my shower had a used washcloth hanging over the curtain. Otherwise I was very happy with the stay. The rooms are up to date. Bedding and pillows were very comfortable!

    I spent 3 nights here and was thrilled with the amenities and service. Important point: only the king bed rooms come with a fridge. The breakfast is hot and fresh, lots of selection and smiling staff at 7am - not used to that! A nice dining area with lots of space. Wifi works great, there's a courtyard and the pillows were awesome.

    This has to be the worst Choice branded hotel I've ever stayed at. I travel to Cleveland for work on occasion and had to book a night on short notice due to other hotels being full. I'll never stay here again. When I talked to the manager she was very smug and basically told me there weren't any refunds when I never asked for one. That told me right then she wasn't going to try to do anything to make my stay better. Plus the remote to my TV didn't work except the channel up and volume buttons. I didn't dare go talk to the lady again I figured she would tell me "no remote exchanges"

    Clean room and fitness facility. All amenities were good. Enjoyed the various items for breakfast and staff were very pleasant.

    The staff is always pleasant. The rooms are clean & this hotel is quiet and comfortable. Everything you need is close buy. You have your choice of shopping clusters and eateries within a short walk and Beechwood Mall is just a 10-minute ride. The only downside is they don't have a refrigerator or microwave in the room.

    Great location. Great room. The girl that checked me in was really nice. Everything was super clean and very nice atmosphere. Smelled good as well. I even got a couple free little gifts for being a Choice member which was cool.

    Please do not stay here. Rooms are dirty. I had to have them come in into my room and vacuum all the crumbs up off the carpet. The bathroom and the showerhead were broke. The chairs in the room were so dirty that I put the chairs in the hallway and asked the staff to come get it. They are not cleaning the sheets because my daughter woke up with her right eye close shut from some type of eye infection. And the breakfast is absolutely nasty. And they do not cater to people who are lactose intolerant, and do not provide a nondairy milk. Please do not make a reservation at this hotel. Run run run!

    All of the desk agents are rude and unprofessional, if you hate your job get another one ! They don’t care about your experience or your stay.. Please do not stay here. Go to a Marriott and get your moneys worth!! These Rooms are dirty. The bathroom was dirty and the shower-head was broke. The chairs in the room were so dirty

    Check-in was very quick, and front desk personnel was friendly. Nice rooms, very clean 👌. Hotel is also in a good location. They did have a Steak house attached to the hotel.

    Edit: Just checked in, the manager here and front staff provided me with really good customer service, and the hotel looks a lot cleaner these days. Thank you, review has been changed to five stars. Over priced, nice staff, needs update very bad

    Kind of expensive for what you get, but with that being said, it is one of the cheaper options. Service was great, breakfast was awesome. Hotel itself is a little grimy. I’m low maintenance, so I enjoyed my stay.

    Great stay. Good service. Great staff. Clean rooms. Key cards system probably needs updated. Breakfast is great! The best I've had. Better than the super expensive hotels. TV remote is eh but we didn't come here to watch TV .

    Amazing service! Everyone was so kind and really helped us out! Thank you so much for such great service! There was smiles and conversations every morning with staff and it made our day! I was in a two queen room, and everything was in perfect condition when we arrived. we had an issue with the door keys (but that was our fault as we are new to using key cards) and they were patient and laughing with us the entire time!

    This hotel was more like a motel!!! My son room had ants My room was awful They did change our rooms which were better but not that much. The headboard was not clean, sink near toilet paper holder falling apart, lamp shades old and torn. Staff was great and helpful but the rooms horrible!!!! I will not be going back

    Excellent service & hospitality! Clean rooms. Continental breakfast was displayed very nicely. The gym equipment is in great shape if you want to grab a quick workout. Offered late check-in and reasonable prices.

    I would do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. There's a reason this hotel is much cheaper than the others nearby (my one night stay still came out to $104 after tax.) We had to change our rooms twice. The first room wasn't ready, which is not a big deal. The second time was due to the bathroom sink being completely clogged with dirt. It would not drain. The third room still had the same problem with the sink, and dirt would come up while using it. This left a general feeling of uncleanliness while staying here that I haven't every felt before in a hotel. I will say one positive was that the staff were pretty nice. However, it did feel like the hotel plays the switch-a-roo game and gives you a new room rather than fixing the minor issue. One last positive, the hotel is conveniently located next to the freeway, making it a quick 20ish minute drive to the city. I would not advise staying here until improvements are made to the cleanliness of the rooms.

    Great, Great customer service, especially by the night shirt clerk "Mariam," who was very concerned and attentive to making sure my hotel experience was the best. After having a concern with a detail in the room that many would consider minor, she immediately addressed it and fixed it. "Wow" great customer service still exists!!!

    Staff very nice/helpful. However I was ripped off on costs. Called what appeared to be the Clarion Hotel. Set up reservation for $409 for 2 nights. Needed handicapped room. Imagine my shock when we checked in and was told room for 2 nights was ~$121. Upon investigation found that I unknowingly went thru a third party vendor. Was informed I should have called the hotel directly (still cannot locate direct number to hotel). Needless I will NEVER book with this group again! So, again, buyer beware!!!

    Key cards didn't work x2 replacements from check-in. TV remote didn't work. Room was in between maintenance and the kitchen. Good luck sleeping past 6 a.m. Never shop for a hotel room based on price. You get what you pay for.

    Was up in the Cleveland area for a softball tournament. Chose The Clarion hotel because of its fair pricing. Well, let me tell you....NEVER stay there. The hotel is cheap, run down and dirty. We were stuck. The first room they put us in had dirty sheets and towels sprawled on the floor. The entire hallway was loaded with dirty sheets and towels. We were put into another room where we found no remote for the TV, and the bathroom shower tiles were full of mold....UGH!!! We were then put into a 3rd room that was doable. No fridge in the rooms. No ice in the entire hotel, and surrounding gas stations. Very unfriendly and cheap owners. This place is so run down, I have no idea how they are allowed to operate.

    First of all, no microwaves or refrigerators in the room These are virtually expected and do exist in the other Choice Hotels we have stayed Also this hotel only has 1 luggage cart When we needed to check out the elevator was out and being a disabled Veteran I couldn't do stairs especially with luggage from our 2nd floor room. 2 lovely housekeepers came to our aid and carried down all our bags. They deserve combat pay for their above and beyond service. I'm giving this hotel a 2 star rating but only because of these 2 fine ladies and their help Otherwise it would only be a 1 since the hotel is old dated and apparently needs refrigerators microwaves room updates and luggage carts and working elevators

    Don’t do it, if you are looking to stay here don’t do it. Currently been told that the clogged toilet in our room won’t get fixed until maintenance gets here on Friday. It’s Wednesday. No housekeeping staff has stepped foot in here. Need fresh towels? Gotta wait till tomorrow. Also, no microwave or mini fridge. I don’t expect luxury staying here but a working toilet would be nice.

    Small motel (about 50 rooms on each of 2 floors), very quiet, price on a last minute reservation was pretty reasonable. Clean, comfortable bed (great pillows) and room, staff were friendly. Prepackaged microwavable sandwich along with yogurt, juice, and coffee were available in breakfast area by lobby to eat there or 'to go' (paper bags provided). Only downside was that, even though the bathroom had plenty of hot water from the sink faucet, the shower had no hot water... not freezing cold, but not hot. Mentioned this to 2 staff members. Would stay there again... but would test hot water after check-in.

    Absolutely the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in!! If you want an attitude, this is where you’ll get it from! If I could only give no star rating they don’t even deserve a one star! The customer service was TERRIBLE! The hotel is disgusting! Dirty rooms, stained floors, hair in your tub, tubs won’t drain, nasty lobby, dirty eating area in the lobby! When you ask someone if they can clean it, they half clean it and say, is that good enough for you?!We couldn’t even eat breakfast there due to how unsanitary everything is! When you ask to speak to management all you get is an attitude. And then they try to flip it and act like you are the problem! I was told it’s a hotel what do you expect it’s not gonna be that nice! $350 for 2 night stay in a complete dump! I better be getting a phone call from the manager! Expect random charges on your credit card also!
