I
recently
had
the
pleasure
of
staying
at
Cinnamon
Sally
Backpackers
Hostel
in
Riga
during
my
second
trip
to
Europe,
and
it
undoubtedly
stands
as
my
best
hostel
experience
on
the
continent.
The
hostel
set
a
new
benchmark
for
what
a
great
hostel
experience
should
be
like,
blending
comfort,
community
and
excellent
service
seamlessly.
A
special
mention
must
go
to
Christian
Balmer,
whose
hospitality
was
remarkable.
He
not
only
provided
us
with
a
map
of
Riga,
highlighting
must-visit
spots,
but
also
took
time
to
show
us
around.
His
efforts
greatly
enhanced
our
exploration
of
this
beautiful
city.
The
highlight
of
the
stay
was
the
New
Year's
Eve
gathering.
The
hostel's
management
and
volunteers
not
only
organized
the
event
but
also
actively
participated
in
the
fun
games,
creating
an
atmosphere
where
guests
and
staff
blended
in
harmony.
This
level
of
engagement
from
hostel
management
is
something
I
have
seldom
seen,
especially
in
America,
where
such
personal
involvement
is
rare.
As
we
celebrated,
ringing
in
the
new
year
with
games,
dancing,
and
enjoying
the
fireworks,
it
was
heartwarming
to
see
the
staff
ensuring
everyone’s
safety
and
well-being.
Their
attention
to
every
guest's
safety,
while
letting
everyone
enjoy
the
festivities,
was
truly
commendable.
The
accommodations
were
immaculate,
with
clean
rooms
and
timely,
complimentary
breakfasts.
The
hostel's
location,
intriguingly
situated
above
a
McDonald's,
added
a
unique
convenience.
Initially,
it
was
a
bit
challenging
to
locate,
but
once
found,
it
proved
to
be
an
ideal
spot,
especially
for
those
looking
to
balance
traditional
Latvian
cuisine
with
familiar
fast-food
options.
Cinnamon
Sally
Backpackers
Hostel
in
Riga
goes
above
and
beyond
to
create
a
memorable,
warm,
and
welcoming
experience
for
its
guests.
It's
a
shining
example
of
hostel
hospitality
done
right,
and
I
would
highly
recommend
it
to
anyone
traveling
to
Riga,
especially
over
the
festive
season.
