We visited the hotel over the weekend. We had a huge group of merry makers and though short notice, the hotel prepared great assortment of meals to the satisfaction of all the guests. Food was awesome, lake view, swimming by the lake and general ambience was spectacular. Keep up the good work

The staff was very kind and helpful to us, the food was fresh and tasty. The location is perfect. Their other branch in the mainland was amazing and had the chance to watch the magical sunset. However, we experienced the worst night! The lake flies literally INVADED our rooms even with the doors and windows closed. It was a nightmare. The heat in the room was unbearable since all the windows were closed. The whole place runs on solar power so no fans. All the 3 of us now had to sleep in one room since the other room was heavily infested! We spent like the entire night fanning ourselves and flagging the flies away! The managers attitude made it worse. It was horrible!

This is a very nice resort on Takawiri Island. The water bus docks just close by. The place is quite serene and would serve really well for a couple. The rooms are clean and neatly arranged. At the time of visit the place had several constructions going on which includes a swimming pool.

Situated in the middle of lake Victoria, near Mfangano island. You need to board, a water bus to arrive there. Good food and friendly atmosphere.

The views one gets there are beautiful and you can swim freely. The charges though are a little on the higher side especially on food compared to other hotels around but the ambiance is close to none around there

Was here with friends on a tour of Kenya with Green Ranger Safari. We were lucky not to have to deal with any lake flies or mosquitos and were the only guests there at the time. There was a lot of activity going on as it seems the complex is being expanded apon complete with swimming pool and stream (would love to come back and see when its finished). The Staff were very friendly (including the builders) and efficient, the fried chicken was excellent, compliments to the chef. The rooms were clean and spacious, if sporting a few geckos and a particularly large beetle, but hey, I'm on an island in Lake Victoria, the wild-life is just part of the fun. The trees directly next to the hotel were teeming with birds that made some very odd sounds but were also very cool. Eagles on a water tower and one of our party was up early enough to happen to catch them all fly off at once to go fishing. There are Hippos and Crocs in the lake which we didnt get to see here, but walking out onto the balcony after waking up, looking over the lake and watching a tornado form whilst birds out of a david attenborough documentry are warrbling away has to be one of the more surreal moments ive had.

It’s is still a construction site. When finished the hotel should be good. Friendly courteous staff.

Ride a water bus... Swim in the blue waters of Lake Victoria as you watch Fishermen fish... kayaking available. Very good, good food and friendly beer prices. Excellent service.
