I picked this hotel due to location to the airport. Hotel looks nice. Rooms are clean. TV didn’t work and toilet doesn’t flush without manipulating the handle (doesn’t appear to be attached very well). Called the front desk and they said someone would be right up. Two hours later, nothing. Spoke to front desk and they responded, “sorry nothing we can do”. Asked for a discount and they said I can speak to management in the morning. I will be on a plane early in the morning, which works well for them. Will not be back.

What a great experience! Friendly and helpful desk staff make ALL the difference! We had a long term stay and took a two room suite (336). I loved that it overlooked Midway Airport and the downtown skyline. We got to watch planes landing and taking off AND New Years Eve fireworks all from one comfy couch. I love the real furniture - heavy and comfortable - with lots of throw pillows as well as bed pillows. We asked for extra coffee mugs and wine and water glasses for the duration since we hate disposable things and they brought us a box of things from the bar which were perfect! The night we checked in there were no luggage carts and we had too much to carry (and we're no spring chickens) so the desk clerk asked security to go find one for us and he happily did so! The suite was spacious and comfortable for 3 plus they allow for pets so our cat could enjoy family time in Chicago with us. Loved the TABLE with sturdy chairs. Plenty of accessible AC outlets and a spacious wet bar with storage made this one of the easiest long stays we've ever done in the Midway Hotel Complex (and we've tried several of them). Great value for the price! Next visit we'll check out the bar and restaurant, just didn't have time over the holidays this trip!

We read the reviews before booking but boy oh boy ... Save your money and stay at the Hyatt next door (night and day experience). Rooms: Outdated but clean (for the most part as we found what looked like crushed candy on the carpet, no big deal). Bathroom door handle kept getting stuck upon opening and closing. Google shows that wifi is free but it is only free to Marriott Bonvoy members. Service: The front desk personnel (there were 2) did not seem like they wanted to be there. Very dry and unfriendly. No extra blanket(s) in the 1 bedroom suite closet. We tried calling the front desk twice with no response. The phone would ring but no one would pick up so my husband had to go down twice to ask the front desk questions. We asked for sheets and extra blankets and waited for over an hour and a half. Not ideal when you have kids that go to bed early. Location: Great location! Right next to the airport but again there is a Hyatt next door; don't waste your money on this one. Parking was $24/night and was packed when we arrived.

Really enjoyed the stay here, nothing really to complain about. The place is a bit dated, but they have done a good job of at least keeping the bedding clean and updated. As far as location goes, you are very close to the Midway airport which is the main reason I stayed here, but it's not exactly what I would call a safe area. The hotel itself is fine and the staff was helpful. There is a Starbucks on site!

Wow. I had a reservation for a hotel down the street in Oak Lawn but experienced customer service challenges that made me decide to seek lodging elsewhere. After booking a new reservation with this hotel, I was so happy! Jonathan helped me check in quickly and when I checked out, I was very impressed with how I was treated. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The bar is great and the Starbucks on site is nice as well. I will stay here again when I come back to Chicago.

Being a native Chicagoan I know how to get around the city. I've been staying at this hotel for YEARS now and I am always happy with my stays! This hotel is in an ideal location with easy access to the downtown area via I-55 or public transportation. Convenient for those who would like to experience Chicago's Magnificent Mile~ Museums~or west suburbs! Also the staff is friendly and incredibly accommodating. Margarita (who checked me in) was so nice and when my room wasn't ready~ she apologized and surprised me with a bottle of wine and cheese/tray for my inconvenience! She even introduced me to her general manager Adam~ who was just as cool! The hotel itself is one of my favorites. Always clean and comfortable~it is my 'go to' hotel whenever I'm back home in Chicago. I highly recommend this hotel! I will definitely keep coming here!

Arrived and Bad Guests were bogarting the luggage carts so the nice security man found us one. It came from maintenance but how kind. I would offer a reminder that while this place has a minimal kitchen area, they also have a restaurant. If you want to do food things in your room nothing is supposed except space. Grab eating and cooking and serving utensils if you are counting on reheating or eating in the room. Also, in room 336 the hot and cold taps are switched in the kitchen sink.

We stayed here last night. Unfortunately, we arrived pretty late. So, the bar and restaurant were closed. The lobby and the room were very nice. The room was a little compact on the refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. But, we only stayed one night. A quick in and out like that, it doesn’t matter as much. Everything was great. But the guy that checked us in did his job. Nothing more. Nothing less. He wasn’t rude at all. But, he definitely didn’t go out of the way to be friendly. That being said, yes. I would stay here again because I’m sure the rest of the staff could be friendly and it’s in good proximity to midway airport.

Awesome hotel, highly recommended! Amazing staff, like Victoria, who welcomed me at my arrival. The property is beautiful and well-maintained. The rooms are spacious, sparkling clean, and comfortable, with microwaves and mini-fridges. There is a free airport shuttle that runs regularly. If you are a Marriott elite member and have access to the lounge, go see Alicia at breakfast time -- excellent selections, yummy food, and outstanding service!

I'm a Marriott loyalist. But the room price was high -- comparable to the Loop ("downtown" Chicago). I wouldn't have booked it but my flight was canceled and I was in a pinch. Room could've used some updating. Concierge perk closed earlier than advertised. A great location if you need to be near Midway, but there are probably cheaper options in the same vicinity with just as good short-term accommodations.

Decent location if traveling out of the airport, not if you're heading into the city. Rooms all good, service was stretched thin, called down to the front 3 separate times and couldn't get hold of the only staff member working. Having Starbucks downstairs handy, but the food/restaurant was always dead so never ate there, but lots of local options close by. It is NOT loud because of the airport like some reviews claim! Rooms peaceful and quite.

I am writing this review on behalf of my husband Jeff. He had an employee who recently got stuck in Chicago on a layover from Cleveland to San Diego. His flight had been cancelled due to weather. It was about 1am our time on the east coast when Jeff realized his young employee was stranded at the airport. Jeff tried to get him a hotel room but everywhere he called was fully booked. It was getting a bit stressful on our end trying to book something for someone else - an employee who was young and inexperienced in travel. When Jeff called the Chicago Marriott Midway and got Nicole Gill on the phone, she also said they were fully booked. Nicole could tell that my husband was stressed and she kindly said “let me see what I can do”. She came back on the phone and said she had rearranged a few things and to tell the employee to head over from the airport and she would figure it out and make sure he had a room. She allowed my husband to put the charges on his card and she got his employee into a room for the night. Through the whole conversation, Nicole was efficient, kind and compassionate and we felt she deserved this review! Thank you Nicole! (Note: I did not give any stars for “rooms” since we did not stay there ourselves)

Jonathan was an absolute lifesaver after our flight was canceled. Wonderful, tremendously courteous and very helpful. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Give Jonathan a raise Marriott. You're lucky to have such a great employee. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We stayed at the Marriott Midway during a last night fly stop over. Super clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive. Very close to Midway with free shuttle service. 10 minutes drive time. We arrived in the early evening, enjoyed a bottle of wine by the fireplace in the lobby (ordered from the restaurant bar) and headed back to the airport in morning to continue our travels. We will stay again if our travel requires an overnight stay.

Worst hotel experience ever. Couldn’t get my room clean because I didn’t ask them the day I checked in that I wanted my room cleaned and linen changed. The young lady was very ruled she had braids in hair. The moment I checked in she was ruled. I would never stay at this hotel ever again. You have to ask questions ask your fee and service because no one explained anything to me

If you’re a crewmember you probably don’t want to stay here. Breakfast is expensive. No free coffee, you have to buy Starbucks. The housekeeping continuously disturbs you every 20mins beginning at 0800. And my room was fairly clean however the heat/ac blew onto the ceiling and it was absolutely gross.

Too near the airport. There's a constant high pitched whistling noise, I'm assuming the planes. PARKING SUCKS! No hot water at bathroom sink. Restaurant is WAY overpriced. There's an over priced Starbucks as well, but don't take cash?!!! I needed to add a day to my stay and they played the "ooooh, too bad so sad" card and wanted to increase my rate. And seemed to enjoy telling me. For a Sunday night? And I'm already in the room? Yeah, I'm sure there's just no way to do it. UPDATE: Here's a new one on me... came back to the room at 9:30 am without ever checking out but the maid was in the process of cleaning the room and wouldn't let my son take a shower. CHECK OUT IS NOON!!! THANKS FOR THE HOSPITALITY, MARRIOTT!!!

We didn't stay here but instead took advantage of their on-site parking through the Spot Hero app. You can select the days and time you'll be there, prepay on your phone, and then go to the front desk and show them your online receipt. After that, they give you a permit to put on your dash. We then hopped onto the shuttle that takes you to Midway Airport for free. It runs about every 20 minutes and it couldn't be easier. We had no issues, the car stayed safe, and we would definitely do it again. I highly recommend it!

Great hotel! Close to Midway, wonderful staff, very clean. Ate and had a drink at the hotel bar/restaurant. Service was impeccable as was the food. Great portions. Staff is very friendly. Definitely recommend!

Rooms were clean and well kept. Parking is separate cost from your room and if you don't get there early enough you will have to park away from the hotel and walk quite a distance, wich makes zero sense when you are being charged for parking. Main complain is night shift lady is very rude. She had a very negative attitude when asked about parking and was no help. I don't understand why people work graveyard shifts if they are going to be in a mad mood and rude to customers. The girl working in the morning was very nice and helpful and breakfast was also good, with a few options to pick from.

I use this place regularly to park my vehicle when flying out of Midway. The people at the front desk and answering the phones are always super friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. Shuttles are always on time, and their drivers are also very professional and friendly, and they play good jazz music during the ride.

Spent a night during the weekend of Summer Smash music festival. It was busy and even though early check in was requested, it was not accommodated. No big deal. We were able to hang in the lobby before the festival, get Starbucks, charge our phones and then we’re able to check in to our room after we were back in the area around 12am. Check in was seamless, everyone was pleasant. Had reserved a room with two queen beds. Once we checked in she said they only had a King and a pull out available and acted like it was an upgrade. That was a bit annoying to me but there was no extra charge. Room was just about perfect as far as cleanliness. Super seamless check out and they answered all of my questions as well in a professional manner. The hotel is amongst a few different others. I’d suggest comparing prices as my stay for one night was around $225. It’s a 10 min ride to SeatGeek stadium with many diner esq restaurants and a commercial district nearby. I would recommend. No continental breakfast. Starbucks and other restaurant located within.

The hotel is quite literally 5-10 min from the Midway airport. The rooms are nice and comfortable; pillows are too soft though! Service desk is always willing to help. There’s a small snacks/drinks/basic meds shop in the lobby. Full Starbucks in the lobby!!! TVS have basic channels and there is NO wifi unless you’re a member or you pay for it.

Wife and son stayed here for a weekend basketball tournament. Breakfast poor quality and value. Bigger issue was my son accidentally left his laptop in the room upon checkout. When they realized it later in the day, they called back and the manager refused to help and find the laptop, said it was a house keeping issue, transferred the call to house keeping, who would not answer the phone or return messages. Not a trustworthy representation of the Marriott brand.

Very good hotel located close to Chicago Midway Airport. Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. A great 3 day experience. I would highly recommend. Parking may be a bit challenging. The ceiling leaked in our Conference Room which I was surprised the Staff had not noticed. Some of our belongings got wet.

  • 1/5 Zachary W. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely not. The place booked has me booked for the following night instead of the night I needed. (My mistake). The desk manager then proceeded to tell me he can’t refund me my money, AND there’s not the room I need for tonight. All the while I had found the same exact room online and showed him my phone where I was about to book it. He exclaimed NO YOU CANT DO THAT”, and dismissed me out of the hotel. Me and my wife have been traveling together for the last 3 years and were trying to marry ourselves to a world known hotel brand for the travel benefits, reward nights, etc. Marriott is now 100% off that list.

This Marriott is always consistent. It’s conveniently located and the property’s team is awesome. Marcel is always so welcoming at the front desk and makes check in a breeze! Maggie and the food service team are great!

  • 5/5 Joel C. 1 year ago on Google
Upon arriving at my hotel, Marcel was able to direct me in the right direction as far as restaurants and attractions. I recommend the friendliness and a professionalism. Marcel and his team know how to take care of all your needs and will answer all your out of town questions. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. We were immediately greeted by Marcel and his warm smile. He made us feel welcome and he was able to answer all of our questions with ease. You would think he owned the place because he was so knowledgeable and competent. Give him a raise! Our room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. The food was tasty too. I was a bit disappointed that there was no Netflix available but the bar made up for that. Overall my stay was great and the staff was friendly. I will definitely be back.

  • 5/5 Max P. 1 year ago on Google
Our flight was canceled while we were in the air and Marcel at the front desk was incredibly helpful in booking our room and making sure everything was taken care of. Once we got to the hotel he was incredibly welcoming and helpful, could not have asked for a better welcome after a stressful and hectic day.

  • 2/5 Kristen C. 1 year ago on Google
The room was dirty. Floor had not been vacuumed, hair in the tub, sticky cup residue stuck on nightstand. The best part was the very kind lady helping at the breakfast area. Disappointed because Marriott hotels are typically very clean.

Obnoxiously loud room with all the planes flying overhead. Like most airport hotels, they could care less about sound insulation. Management, please don't give me some corporate platitude about trying to do better next time because unless you are planning to soundproof the entire building, you can't do better. Also, staff was rude and incompetent--the guy couldn't find our reservation and when pressed, declared there were no reservations until his coworker found the reservations. I was also put on hold and forgotten when i tried to request something grom the front desk. Then they acted like nothing happened. I ended up asking for extra bedsheets so I could sleep on the bathroom floor because it was the only quiet place I could find. (SEE PIC) And there are minor irritations like the nonsensical requirement of a card key to access the ice machine. And equip your vans with some shock absorbers. Not impressed with the Marriott brand overall. Overpriced and overhyped

Always treated me like a valued customer never had a hotel so concerned on my well-being that's why I when I'm in town I stay here. The staff is awesome how they remember who I am amazes me it's always a hello mr. .... as I'm walking in the front door the staff and service personnel are genuinely pleasant to be around and very accommodating

Don’t know what happens with Marriot hotel. Made reservation via phone. Got to the hotel just to found out that I didn’t have a reservation. Once I showed my confirmation they kept looking until they found my reservation. Got there late because my flight got delayed. So from 3:00 am they wanted me to wait until 5:00 am to check me in. Which is absurd. Paid for a hotel that wasn’t giving me a room. Had to wait in the lobby for more than an hour. We are sleeping the the sofas. I really just wanted to cancel and go somewhere else. I am still waiting

Two words Jonathan May. He went above and beyond to help my son who was having problems get checked in and helped him get to his room safely. And let me know he was safe for the night. An angel in the night. Thank you so much Jonathan May.

  • 1/5 Jamie D. 1 year ago on Google
Reserved a room almost 3 months in advance of our trip. The shuttle was so inadequate that it was completely packed with no room for all the waiting passengers for 3 full round before we were even able to get on to go to the hotel. We arrived after traveling all day, get up to the room and find out that while we paid in full in advance for a room with 2 queen size beds (for 4 people) we were given a room with just one king bed with no couch or pull out for the other sleeping arrangements. We asked the front desk for a roll away bed or a cot because we were tired and didn't want to make a big fuss. They told us to sleep on the floor. Yes, the floor.... They told us there was no manager on duty to speak with until the next day and wouldn't give us any solution other than to sleep on the floor because they over booked and gave our room away.
