👍👍 My favorite climbing gym to visit when I'm home for the holidays. Hands down the best bouldering of any gym I've ever been to. At first glance, the number of routes seems a bit low compared to what you might be used to, but I think the sheer amount of wall space balances that out. Every single rout... People often mention climbing, bouldering, cool, time,

My favorite climbing gym to visit when I'm home for the holidays. Hands down the best bouldering of any gym I've ever been to. At first glance, the number of routes seems a bit low compared to what you might be used to, but I think the sheer amount of wall space balances that out. Every single route, even the ones you know you'll immediately flash, are genuinely fun and thoughtfully set. The gym was also spotless. Nobody likes climbing a route with nasty, dirty holds. Please keep those efforts up.

This is a really cool place and I'm happy to see it in Indy. I hope it does well. I visited North Mass Boulder as part of a Yelp event. Upon entry I was immediately shocked by how large it was. It's very spacious. I didn't do any climbing but decided to have a latte and do some work upstairs in the co-working space. The place overall had a very chill and relaxed feel and if I lived closet, I could definitely see myself going regularly. The cafe had a good menu and I look forward to trying some items when I do have the chance to revisit.

Drove from Chicago to Indy for a climbing comp. Such a fun experience. Please host again next year! I can’t say anything about membership experiences, but their facilities are the best! Dare I say best in the country? Beats out all the gyms I’ve been to in WA, CA, UT, CO, NV, NY, WI, and NM. Listed some climbing capitals there! Better than any mega franchise like Movement or Bouldering Project. The facility is huge, the setting is fantastic, and there are tons of amenities that I don’t feel like listing. Seriously, the gym is the largest gym I’ve ever been to. Jealous that we don’t have this gym in IL!

First Friday Art Market was amazing at this super cool climbing gym! Though we learned its more tham that, its a phenomenal community that has options for food, climbing, yoga, chilling, stretching, and Art Pop ups! Stoked we were able to bring our art to share into Indy!

Come in the mornings if you want to climb. Decent atmosphere but almost unusable from 5pm through 9pm. Large sections (at least half today) of the rock wall will be blocked off by climbing groups. Not sure if this is a specific activity/training session put on by the gym or if it's just large private groups. Either way, they make it nearly impossible to climb. Edit: pics added as reference. Note the 100% full cubbies and the fully claimed side walls from large groups.

The place to boulder if you want to meet people. There is a ton of people every weekday evening and still a lot of people during the weekend as well. The membership is slightly expensive ($75/month), but if you attend the yoga and dance classes like me, it is so worth it.

A world class bouldering facility with top shelf amenities. The walls are vast and stunning with high quality holds. The setting on my visit was a mixture of competition-style routes and classic outdoor bouldering simulations. The staff was friendly, outgoing and readily available. Bo got me settled in and gave me a tour of the facility that was well-paced and informative. I don’t live in the area, but if I did I would not hesitate to become a member.

We did a combined 5 and 7 year old birthday party here and all the kids agreed this was the most fun party they had ever been to. We opted to have an instructor lead the kids and that was absolutely the right choice. The instructor was fantastic and did a great job leading the kids. The private party room was the ideal setting for the kids to have a ton of fun. After the kids got comfortable in the party room, they went out and climbed on top of the big boulders. All-around it was a perfect birthday party. Highly recommended for the 4-10 year old crowd.

What a wonderful surprise introduction to a local business, absolutely made our weekend (plus one with a guest and a pup!) First off, I didn’t figure the location just cause I didn’t see the cafe right off the bat when we drove in. Front desk was happy and courteous enough to explain the details. My take - cool location, where you can work, study, chill, workout, climb, do yoga, play basketball or simply put enjoy watching shows on the projector screen. I tried the no-caffeine hot chocolate and the maple cinnamon latte. Asked for extra hot, I could have taken hotter but flavors were nutty, not so sweet, slight kick of cinnamon, hint of maple with delicious oat milk. We also tried Impossible Burger and Vegan cheeseburger soup. We didn’t want meat and we were WOWd with the options. Delicious, meaty, crunchy and so delicious! Most of all, they allow PETS! We were on TOP of the world, we had a great time with my pup and she got to pose for the instagram page! What more could I ask for! I am definitely coming back!!! Parking - no issues Location - no traffic Membership - monthly First time - Free visit (try it out!!!)

This is a fantastic climbing gym in Indianapolis! I had a splendid time there. You can find very smart balds that force you to think and use the technique, not only pure strength. Whenever I return to Indy, I will visit this place for sure.

This place is just beyond words amazing. It has absolutely everything you could possibly need for fitness, hanging out and getting some remote work done, or having a bite to eat. And the cost for membership is so reasonable (they even have a student rate). We are so lucky to have North Mass in our neighborhood! This HUGE converted factory has a climbing area that is the biggest I've ever seen, a cardio workout area with plenty of different types of machines, a weights and lifting space, and two classrooms for guided classes (general workouts downstairs, yoga studio upstairs). All is included free in the membership. Also upstairs is the most comfy and welcoming co-working space with free and fast WiFi, some quiet working spaces you can book yourself with a touch pad on the door, and their awesome cafe! Tons of yummy and healthy food and drink options, plus plenty of coffee and even a bar area for local craft brews or to-go cans for purchase. It also has a little store for climbing and fitness gear. I seriously cannot say enough about this place! And it's also dog- friendly, for well behaved pups on a leash!

North Mass is a great bouldering gym. There are multiple walls with more than enough problems for every level of climbing. The gym has a large variety of overhang, slab, and arete climbs. More dihedral would be cool, but overall it's the best variety I've seen. The only thing I didn't like was the entire floor is a pad style. There were a few pockets of floor with benches but basically the whole bouldering area is padded. I find this encourages people to get too close when I'm on the wall and I could have fallen on several that didn't seem to have any spacial awareness. And, more paths would make the gym more accessible. Water, sports drinks, and protein available in the gym would also be nice.

I am new to bouldering, but I love this place! So many routes to try for beginner climbers in Indianapolis. Great time and the cafe in the building is an added bonus. It has good gluten free food options!

I was a member for 6 months and told I could no longer have a personal trainer with me during the hours of 5-8pm due to, “high demand” of the equipment. Not sure if it was a new policy or just a now enforced one. So my only time window available was closed. I’m in my thirties and just starting my fitness journey with no previous experience at a gym, so I need help from a trainer. What should I do, show up and “guess” at the equipment and weights? Honestly it’s a safety concern. Cool place, most of the staff seem cool. But it’s expensive and unusable to me now. I even emailed a manager about it and got one reply back politely telling me “bummer” essentially. Feels like they have lost their mission here and are more focused on the money then quality over all.

Clean gym with friendly staff. Yoga classes are timely and well run. Climbing routes are rotated weekly. Cafe is a great spot to work remote while having a bite to eat.

This is a very cool concept gym. Keep in mind, bouldering is SO much harder than it looks. It’s about $20 for a day pass, and you sign a few digital waivers before getting started. To climb, you need to wear specific climbing shoes. Your first time here they rent the shoes to you for free, but after that it’s $5. There are open wooden cubbies that you can leave your stuff in. The people at the front are so helpful and easy to talk to if you have any questions! The cafe upstairs is a nice spot to rest and maybe work on your laptop. The actual drinks and food were meh honestly. I got a smoothie and a muffin. The smoothie did taste like “health” but also powdery. The muffin was very dry.

I've never been into exercise of any kind much to speak of besides light jogging, but the problem solving aspect of bouldering is incredibly fun. Also, peace, love, and kindness are a very real thing here. Everybody I've met is super kind, and something about being cheered on by random strangers is wonderful. Thanks North Mass!!
