It's never packed and the staff is very nice. They are always cleaning and the facility is well maintained. I go around 730-830 every morning and have never had to wait for a machine or had any kind of problem. By far the nicest, most affordable gym in Woodstock.

I’ve been trying to ask to use the massage chair for over an hour and there hasn’t been anyone at the front desk in over an hour. Employees hide in the bathroom stalls so they can text and get a break. No one to even work the desk. Laugh out loud pathetic. Honest review.

Nice equipment, very well maintained and clean.. Was even able to park my semi to get a work out in..Definitely recommend this place for other drivers.. Just please be careful and keep lot clean

Another great workout at Planet Fitness 💪 It's a good place if you are going through rehab after an injury slower paced, much more relaxed atmosphere than other gyms. Also to note the staff is great. Highly recommend.

The Gym is open 24/7. The equipment is better than the other PF gyms in the area... I’m very pleased and happy to have a gym in town!

I really enjoy going to Planet Fitness in Woodstock. The staff is very friendly and really do a great job maintaining the cleanliness of the facility. This is a great place to get exercise and then relax on the hydro beds.

Well staffed, and well maintained. The staff is friendly and courteous, and the machines - by and large - are clean and well maintained. Of course, you always have some knuckleheads who don't wipe the machines down, but that's in every gym on the planet. I'm particularly fond of the battle ropes in the back. My last gym didn't have them, so I am happy that this location does! The red light therapy they offer is also one of my favorite parts. Not sure if it's the placebo effect, but it seems to work for me!

For the price you can't beat it. The staff keeps it clean and the crowd isn't ever really too bad. For your money it's probably the best place to go in town.

I've been at this gym at different hours (including 2am) and they alway keep this place clean. Full effort too, no half a** jobs. I really like that they do that. Staff very friendly and helpfull.

Incredibly friendly staff and super clean! TONS of equipment and even when it's busy, no issue getting a workout in. Guests are mostly all very considerate and 95+% of the people seem to clean machines after each use. I wish there was a sauna or steam room.

Never thought id join a gym, too intimidated. A friend brought me to PF and im hooked. i go every other day, reasonably priced and everyone there seems to be nice. Im older and my elbows and knees are beat up from years of racing so the machines work really well for me as opposed to free weights. Was a good move.

Friendly staff and clean facility. I’m not a “gym person” but once I gave it a try, it has been a positive experience for the past two years here. I even convinced my husband to join, and he’s glad he did.

After speaking with the manager Sandy I feel so comfortable with the transitioning of my home gym. She was sooo helpful and awnsered all of my questions & addressed all my concerns. If you have not visited this PF I encourage you to do so it's clean and the staff is friendly also try the total body treatment!!! A Sandy you are awesome🤩

Very clean, great staff and place to get your workout.

Even though it maybe one of the smaller of the Planet Fitness in the McHenry County area it is one of my favorites. This is due to the layout of equipment and that the cable machines are the most up to date in the area, the Smith machines are truly vertical style, and the 30 for 30 room has great steps and the layout works great for that room. It also is the only one in the area with a true TRX station with Bosu equipment.

Clean, friendly staff, black card spa well kept. I love the 30 minute circuit workout. Keeps me encouraged to keep going because I am not lost at what to do. I call it my dirty 30. Hah

I moved out of state and tried to cancel my membership over the phone and they said I have to send a letter in the mail or come in when I live 5 hours away now because they can't prove it's me over the phone. When I questioned why I can't send an email canceling the general manager said "how would we know it's really you." I don't know, maybe it's because the email I'd be sending it from is the same my account is under. How is a letter in the mail proof that it is me? They just make it as hard as possible to cancel your membership on purpose to keep scamming money out of you. Did you know in California and Florida you can cancel your membership online? Don't sign up for a membership here.

Stereotypical planet fitness. About what you'd expect

Very nice staff, can easily get to everything you want to try and no guess work on how to use equipment if you're new to going to a gym. I'm not one to dress the part or come fully equipped with gear and I was comfortable.

These "people" don't give a rats A$$ about anything but themselves. Had some medical issues, couldn't come in, couldn't use the membership. You think they care AT ALL? Totally refused to cancel the membership or at least freeze it till I could use the membership again. Nope, get your money PLANET HEARTLESS, cause that's all that matters here with these "people". :(

This place sucks I had already had a agreement signed between my parents and the gym, and nonetheless the manager here barred me from coming in because I didn't have "sufficient" proof gestapo mf needing an ID after literally scanning my gym card your not a cop bro 🙄

Awesome gym. Everything was so clean, even the floors spotless. The 2 workers were just great kids working hard all night. I spent 2.5 hours there. Since this gym opened this year, I love how the machines are more updated and really work the muscle for whatever muscle is being trained. In other words, these machines are very user friendly. Even the cardio machines are so much more computer programmed and user friendly also. Great job Planet Fitness. I've been to Palatine, Schaumburg, Arl. Hts., Crystal Lake and now Woodstock. They are all managed perfectly to keep us safe from disease. God Bless the management. Thank you very much!!!!!

Never packed like the McHenry location is. It's a good PF, what more can I say?

I was rudely asked by a female employee to wear my mask while working out. She felt the need to talk to me like i was stupid. I wore the d@mn mask for my last 5min and gave it back. Thanks! Never had an issue till now. I think it's time to cancel!

Right now all the equipment is brand new and in great working order. Everything is very clean. The staff has always been friendly and helpful with me. You can't beat the price compared to other clubs. We'll see a year or so down the road.

Best gym in Woodstock. Clean, spaced out enough, plenty of equipment, never feel like I'm on top of people. For the price point, it cannot be beaten. If you know how to work out, they have everything you could possibly want without having to have heavier dumbbells. Props to the staff who are always cleaning the place meticulously and pleasant. I even saw the general manager on her hands and knees sanitizing. Great place.

Never have I ever had a problem where I am working out and I take my mask off that it's gonna be an issue the only time I take my mask off is when i'm running or doing and incline workout on the treadmill, but today as i'm doing that i get told that i have to have it on not matter what and yes I understand that covid is very serious but when i'm doing a workout to a.) help me lose weight and b.) is causing me to sweat which causes you to breath more, it's kinda hard to not be a little angry that i'm not allowed to have it off when i'm doing stuff like that, I also always put it back on when i'm done and I clean up after myself but I have never had an issue with me taking my mask off while i'm doing that kind of work out :(

Clean facility and wide variety of equipment

Never would I have thought of myself as a person who would like Planet Fitness. I have always preferred CrossFit gyms, and still do. However, the personnel at Planet Fitness Woodstock have made all the difference for me. I started my membership pre-COVID, but have continued on after the reopening. Despite the challenges of the times, the attitudes of the associates here remain positive. Staff even sometimes visually identify me upon entry and check me in by the time I step in the doorway. The place is clean, organized, useful for general fitness, and a fine option to keep moving. The HydroMassage lounges and chairs even provide a simple, short respite from a stressful day.

Very great gym to get a workout in. Staff are very helpful with explaining how to use machines, massage chairs & tanning bed. Wide variety of machines to use, with 6ft distance between machines for the corona going on currently. There's enough cleaning stations around so you don't have to walk far to get to one. Overall of the few I have been to I think I like this one the best.

I signed up for this gym before they even opened. I decided to go to snap instead about a month in, and called to cancel. The staff member said his system was glitching but he’d keep working on it. I got billed $35 a few days into February and went in person to dispute the charges, but the manager said she couldn’t refund me, even though they have documentation proving I called and talked to a staff member about cancelling. It’s not like this huge company suffers from refunding one person $35. Disappointing

Good clean gym, staff are very interested, in their own conversations, this is a plus for me because I dont want to be bothered in the gym. If you need something, they will stop to help you out. I've only been there a few times now, but they are not familiar with me like the one in Crystal Lake used to be.

They rudely asked me to remove my coat from the machine so I canceled my membership and they called the police and banned me from all locations, so much for a judgement free zone.

You get a lot of bang for your buck. New facility, new equipment, and plenty of space. 24 hours and its clean. Wouldn't reccomend for hardcore powerlifters/bodybuilders but they have enough weights to get you by in a pinch. Plenty of cardio equipment and machine. But hey for $10 a month I grabbed a membership for the hell of it and the convienece of it being close to home.
