The smell of flavored coffees in the air, the line of expectant coffee lovers, the joy of having so many choices of coffees, and they sell cups with candles. The aroma and experience is lovely especially on a Saturday morning with a bustling crowd going up and down Penn Avenue where there are so many fun stores to enjoy your coffee with. This place has so many types of coffee you will never be disappointed in the selection. They have an in store coffee roaster.

Allegheny Tea Exchange in Pittsburgh is a gem for coffee enthusiasts seeking unique flavors. Their orange coffee beans stood out with their distinctive aroma and delightful citrus notes. I couldn't resist stocking up on them during my recent visit. A must-visit for coffee lovers looking to expand their taste horizons!

We've been coming here for years for the best selection of coffees and teas. You can smell the beans roasting from a block away. The staff is ALWAYS helpful, knowledgeable, and kind.

One of my favorite places in the Strip! Coffee is well-priced, they don’t charge you extra for non-dairy milk in your iced coffee, and the staff is so wonderful/knowledgeable! It smells like heaven here! Highly recommend their coffee mug candles and their small batches of coffee that are only $3 for you to try out new flavors!

Great coffee and FANTASTIC customer service! My wife and I originally went to La Prima Espresso first and what a terrible experience we had. Their rude customer service and mediocre coffee made us decide to go right over to Allegheny and give them a chance (even though everyone speaks up about La Prima and nothing about Allegheny). We mentioned that we wanted a “do-over” because of the poor experience we had and they were so kind to offer us a free coffee on the house. We tipped them the price of the coffee, but THAT is customer service! They gave us recommendations and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. Thank you to three gentlemen who made our day and the coffee was absolutely delicious!

About the Place: Situated in the bustling heart of the Strip District, this coffee shop boasts a prime location. The ambiance is good, offering a pleasant place to relax. With a central spot on one of the busiest streets, it's convenient for those looking for a caffeine fix. About the Coffee: The coffee shop offers an impressive array of different coffee flavors, and what sets it apart is the fact that they roast their coffee in-house. However, the coffee itself was just decent, not exceptional. I tried the raspberry-flavored coffee, and while the addition of the raspberry flavor was interesting, the overall taste fell a bit short of my expectations. On the upside, the quantity was generous, making it a decent choice for a quick pick-me-up. Overall, a three-star rating seems appropriate for this coffee shop.

This is the place for the best smells and coffee in The Strip. Friendly staff and a large selection of coffee flavors and regions to choose from. Definitely recommend getting the coffee holiday blend before it's gone. Also a decent selection of tea not to be ignored or forgotten. Great place for all coffee lovers especially when it in-house roasted. Usually a pretty bustling atmosphere.

This is a coffee shop that sells lots of different varieties of coffee beans; big selection at reasonable prices. Also has a coffee bar; I've only ever had a mocha here - which are very good, rich and chocolatey - but it's always busy, so guessing their other drinks are good too. I guess they sell tea too, but I never paid attention to that.

This is a trip I make monthly. Their coffee selection is great, staff is friendly as well as personable, & I love the atmosphere, perfect mix of old corner store(LOVE the tin ceiling), & new(ish) coffee bar.Who doesn't love a shop that smells like fresh coffee? For anyone who hasn't been here yet, stop in, grab some fresh beans, or a nitro coffee, & prepare to have a new place to get your coffee from!

Ordered two hot chocolates. We got two hot milks with no chocolate. Three adult men couldn’t get a hot chocolate order correct is extremely disappointing on a cloudy rainy Pittsburgh day. Usually the hot chocolate is the best in Pittsburgh and I say that with zero exaggeration.

I LOVE this place!! I have never had a bad experience in any way, from products to service! The only possible complaint is I always buy more than planned, but still, no regrets!

Excellent coffee at lower-than-average prices for coffee shops in town. They made our drinks fresh within just a few minutes. Worth a visit if you're walking around the Strip

The most expensive coffee grounds, $50 a pound Kona and Blue Mountain, were weak and disgusting. We drive here from out of state every year just for the unique grounds, so we were very excited to try the best options they had. After brewing them a French press, percolator, and even drip, The Kona and Jamaican Blue Mountain were consistently weak, bland and acidic. Dollar store or gas station coffee would have tasted better. We sent them an email explaining this to them. Maybe the expensive ones don't sell as much, so they could have been old beans. But we never received a response after over 2 months. We spent over $160 on coffee grounds, and I can safely say due to the lack of accountability, we will never return again. Very disappointed.

I absolutely love walking down a street and smelling coffee in the air. This place definitely draws you in. I love that the staff were so friendly and offered great suggestions.

The smell when you walk in the door is just heavenly 🤤 they have the yummiest flavored coffees (a large, diverse variety) of any coffee shop I’ve ever visited. I highly recommend you give them (& their coconut royale + banana nut cream) a try next time you’re on the strip! — also the staff is super kind and helpful!

It's like a candy shop but for coffee & tea lovers ~ the variety makes it really fun. Things you should know: I. PARKING We parked on the street nearby. There's fair amount of availability at mid-morning but parking is packed by noon. II. SERVICE They have machines to allow you to grind your coffee beans here and scales so you can get the ratio you want. III. QUALITY Haven't had a chance to try the beans yet but I'll assume they're full of flavor IV. CAPACITY Fair amount of people coming and going

One of my drivers recommend this coffee company. After buying the Colombian roast, it was one of the best coffee I’ve had, reordered some more and couple other varieties as well.

Good coffee, good prices and decent service. I like that they roast their own beans from around the world. Few places do that I find. You will find an excellent selection of beans and teas. Quaint environment with nice folks to answer your questions. I highly recommend this cafe.

There’s so much variety and flavors here! The workers are always very helpful, and the stickers for the flavors make it easy to identify your beans afterward if you’re trying a few.

Was visiting the Strip District with family. Dropped in for a coffee. What a great place. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Love the coffee. You can get various types to take home. Roasted fresh. Enjoyed seeing the roaster. Was surprised that they have cold coffee on tap. The triple espresso is great as is the caramel latte. Will be back when I return to town.

started coming here like 4 or 5 times a week and they never disappoint. I get tea and my girlfriend gets coffee and both are perfect every time. We try to wake up early so we can come here before work as often as we can. Everyone is also super nice and welcoming. Cant recommend enough

One of my favorite places to get coffee. Like if your a coffee drinker this is your place! Offers free samples of their nitro brew, a rediculous amount of coffee options, and good service. Definitely recommend

This is my go-to place to stop for coffee. They have a ton of great options for whole beans by the pound (and grinders are available). The Maple Walnut is a must have. They also have a great selection of tea and hot drink accessories. Love their staff who are always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Grab a coffee to-go and enjoy your stroll through the Strip ten times more.
