I just started here at UltiMET Fitness but I already know it’s the right place for me. Good equipment . Good vibe. Nice and clean. Good music. People are welcoming. The coaches I have met so far (Adrian, Goose, Val, Ace, Royce ) are awesome. Very informative, knowledgeable and great communicators. I also have to give a shout out to Chelsea who has been helping me with my nutrition plan. I’m really looking forward to my fitness journey here. “Change nothing… Nothing Changes”

I dropped into this CF for open gym while in town for work and cannot recommend it highly enough. The owner is so kind and welcoming, and the facilities are beautiful, colorful, and so unique. There is gorgeous artwork on all the walls and a wonderful outdoor space. And of course all the equipment you could need. A must visit!

I have been a member of ultiMET fitness since before it was ultiMet fitness and can say with certainty that there is no other gym like it. If you are new to town or just looking to meet new people this gym is truly more than a community, it's a family. I quickly realized that my main motivation when it comes to working out doesnt come from the workouts as much as it does from enjoying the people I get to work out with on a daily basis. This gym's community helped me reach so many goals, PR-ing all of my lifts and and half-marathon, completing a full marathon and the 48 hr Goggins Challenge and escaping from Alcatraz. The programming and coaching staff here is a great support system if you are an endurance athlete that also likes to lift weights! If you are looking for a fun place to get fit and have FUN enjoying a beverage or two from time to time, this is the gym for you. :-)

I drop in to this gym whenever I'm visiting Pittsburgh and I've had a wonderful experience every single time. Skilled coaching, thoughtful programming, all the equipment you'd expect in a great-looking box... but what really makes this place stand out is the friendly, warm, welcoming vibe. Don't hesitate to give this spot a try!

I really enjoy coming here to reach my fitness goals. The coaches do a great job working with me at my particular fitness level. I was kind of uncomfortable at first being 300 pounds and everyone at the gym helped me feel more comfortable. I feel physically stronger and more motivated since joined the gym.

This gym is great. Can't say enough good about it. All the coaches are great, knowledgeable, and helpful. The other members are much the same. The workouts are effective, challenging, and usually pretty fun. They're revamping the workouts presently as well, and they promise to be even better. Looking forward to that. Been going here on and off for about 2 years and finally got a full subscription this past summer, and it's been well-worth the cost. Edit/update: it's been over a year since I got a full membership, normally going 4-5 times a week. This programming is BRUTAL but I'm probably in better shape now than when I was in the military. I'm stronger, more mobile, feel better, and look better. The flexible class times are really clutch and there aren't enough good things to say about the coaches. Everyone is helpful and encouraging while still having distinct coaching methods. I might start coaching there myself! Feels great in terms of progress and advancement in my fitness. Edit/update: A little after my last update, I did start coaching at this gym, and the experience has been wild and great. I've learned quite a lot as a coach and athlete and I'm looking forward to helping others and myself on continuing their fitness journeys. Please stop by if you're curious! All newcomers are welcome regardless of experience or fitness level.

This is what I'm talking about! I've been at ultiMET Fitness for nine months now and well...can I get an AMEN!? Not only is this an awesome program that makes you STRONGER, it has a real community - which was so important for me. New to the area, I was hoping to make some friends who could help me get acquainted with a new city and SWOLE altogether. Seriously, these workouts are absolutely killer and the instructors are REAL, DOWN-TO-EARTH PEOPLE. I am so tired of these "corporate gym" models. Not at the MET baby! Have a beer, throw a dog on the grill, and get into the best shape of your life - I mean it. If you're looking for a no-excuses gym that is as fun as it is challenging, come on down to the MET and meet your new fam.

A friend asked me to do the Saturday morning partner workout a few weeks ago. I’ve been back every Saturday since. Lifelong fitness enthusiast, but first time CrossFit’er. The trainers (and basically any other gym members) helped me with the exercises I wasn’t familiar with. Great community too; everyone very open and friendly.

I walked into this gym set on spending just a few months to build up my strength before moving on to something different. It's been 2 years and I still haven't left! The community made me feel right at home. Thanks to them and the coaches, I am the most healthy I have ever been. They offer a wide variety of classes that train your endurance, Olympic lifting or just pure CrossFit. If you are looking for a place with a great vibe, supportive community and a workout you look forward to, I highly recommend checking them out.

Amazing gym with knowledgeable coaches, a great atmosphere, and members who feel like family. I was new to CrossFit and each coach took the time to make sure I was executing each lift with the correct form and understood what I was doing. They are some of the nicest and most welcoming people I have ever met. The environment was always clean, and the enthusiasm of the coaches as well as other members is what kept me coming back. One of my all time favorite places in the burgh!

The first thing I noticed about this gym is the vibe. It's decorated (spray painted drawings everywhere along with motivational sayings) so well and makes working out way more exciting. The staff is so friendly and you often find yourself talking to them before/after your workout. They have lots of space and equipment to use, the workouts can easily be modified for those who need it and they're always willing to quickly come up with alternative moves for you. The other members are so friendly and you find yourself making friends after just one class, everyone wants you to do your best and feel comfortable when you're in the gym, it's definitely a judgement-free zone which is what a gym should be. Love this place, highly recommend.

For context, I have lived a sedentary lifestyle my whole life. Ive tried to go to the gym and ended up quitting not too soon after. I moved to Pittsburgh and found this gem. And have been the most consistent I have ever been. As a beginner, I was nervous. However, the trainers and the members were more than welcoming. The trainers help people of all skill levels and have the patience of saints. Everyone is very friendly, the workouts are varied and the classes are structured in such a way that they can fit anyone's schedule. I can only speak from my point of view as a newbie, but I would wholeheartedly recommend this gym.

Wanted to share my fantastic experience at this gym. This gym is a great place to learn, grow, gain strength, and confidence. I signed up for personal training here and Adrian helped build a strong foundation and a love of lifting. Their classes are affordable and super effective. I highly recommend any new to Pittsburgh people to stop by for a great facility and genuinely nice community. 10/10 - would lift again

I should have started sooner! The workouts and the culture at the gym are great. All of the coaches are very helpful, they take time to teach you if you are new, and make you feel welcome.

🫤 Wasted potential. Lots of things that could make this a good gym. High ceilings wide open feel. But the execution is a total fail. Even basic stuff like temperature control is beyond the ability of staff here. It’s about 95 degrees in here right now. A couple of the old guys are looking a little uns...

😐 I paid membership, set up the account in person , and even put my credit card on file. My card did not work and I had no access to the gym. The first two times I came in, the guy at the front told me it was likely cause I had just gotten it activated it and to give it a couple days. Finally, the mo...

👍👍 Joining LRB in mid-June of 2021, I was weighing over 280 pounds and since then I lost over 42 pounds. Becoming a member at LRB, I learned to gain confidence and never giving up mentality that is definitely expressed in the gym atmosphere for any class. 👍👍 In my mid-fifties and with chronic pain up and down the entirety of my right side, I started Group Spin Cycling at the Thelma Lovette YMCA. A doctor had tried to sell me a shiny new metal hip replacement as if I was at a used car lot, and a dye-injected scan revealed I have little to no cartilage in...
