Absolutely stunning beach. I had a great time walking down it seeing all the beautiful rocks and shells and watching the waves roll in. It was so awesome getting to watch such an amazing sunset on the beach. There were barely any other people there also so it was very peaceful and quiet other than the beautiful sounds of nature.

The Big Lagoon County Park is a gorgeous state park in the middle of Trinidad, Humboldt county. The park is really well maintained. There is a $5 dollar fee that should be paid to enter in the park. There are plenty of parking available and clean restrooms. The beach is really beautiful, but be aware the the sea there is too strong and dangerous for swimming. On the other hand, the lagoon is very calm and full of fishes. It is great place for fishing or doing water activities. In addition to that, the whole beach and lagoon is surrounded by a scenic forest. I highly recommend this place for everyone that loves outdoor and nature.

Well maintained day use area with clean washrooms. We kayaked there 3 times and enjoyed a different part of the lagoon each time. It does get to be a bid of work when the wind comes up.

We spent here 3 nights with our kids. Every place has own bonfire and tables with benches. It's not the newest but worked. We felt save there and it's walking distance from the ocean - 10 or 15 min.

Tent sites are nice and grassy with great soil for stakes. Short walk to restrooms. You can hear ocean waves crashing in the distance but views are of the lagoon not the ocean.

Cute hidden jem. Homes are hidden back there along with a hidden parking area for the beach you must pay for parking although I didn't as I was only there for 15 mins.

It's such a beautiful place, You can walk this beach all the way to Sue- meg (patrick's point) and all the way up to dry lagoon. Very good place to find agats do not enter the water though very dangerous.

Big Lagoon County Park is one of many beautiful beaches along this coast. What makes this beach nice is that a person can drive right next to it and park. There is a fee, but here is no long walk; you can walk right onto the sand. And parts of it have sand like very small beads. We watch sunsets here 2 nights.
