This place came highly recommended from two folks familiar with the area including a local. I'm always in search of decent bagels outside of New York. I had the Grandpa Goren which has lox, cream cheese, red onions and capers. I was only going to eat half but ended up eating the whole thing. I couldn't even wait to take a picture before taking a bite. It's hard to say how it compares to New York bagels since that test, at least for me, works on untoasted with just cream cheese to see if it's crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. My husband, whose test involves a toasted bagel with cream cheese, insists that it is pretty good. The line got pretty long after we arrived but try seem to move quickly. Lots of seating outside in picnic benches. Restroom is pretty clean too.

If you are looking for a quick place to have a delicious breakfast, lunch or snack - look no further. This. Is. It. Excellent bagel shop, a must go every time I come visit. The bagels are delicious and fresh. So many unique things about this place - I love that they make ‘slugs’ which are long bagels instead of circular, the home made everything bagel seasoning that they refer to as ‘slug slime’ is spectacular, and the fact that you can get larrupin (local dill mustard that is amazing). They have an awesome menu with lots of different options but you can also make your own. If you are new to the area or just visiting , make sure to take a jar of larrupin sauce home and a bottle of their slug slime! It is 100% worth it. They always have a great selection of their merch and local items to take home - although it might seem slightly pricey these are all excellent quality and worth every penny. The staff was friendly and service was fast. Additionally, they have GREAT Covid precautions. Everyone I saw was masked, no indoor eating and the tables outside were well spaced out. I felt completely safe and comfortable.

I’ve appreciated Los Bagels in the past but overtime there prices have just gotten so high to the point that it’s hard to continue to support them. They have long been in the community and it feels sad to see them become less and less accessible to the wider population of their community. Even as a struggling college student their location on campus is something that js often too expensive for many low income students. For two people, two bagels costs 28 dollars and after tip that’s over 30 dollars for two bagels you could have easily made at home. To add bacon it’s 7 dollars and any other spread besides cream cheese is also 7 dollars or more. Overall, i am sad to have come to the conclusion that though it is a cute community space it is just too overpriced for me to enjoy anymore. 😞😔💔 Here’s a picture of my 15 dollar bagel

Stopped here on our way up the coast and omg. The Thai bagel (peanut butter, cucumbers, carrots, scallions, sesame seeds, jalapeño jelly) is amazing and unlike anything I’ve ever had before - perfectly crunchy, spicy, and has a hint of sweetness with the jalapeño jelly. My husband got the lox and said that was amazing, too! We also got coffee (delish) and some cookies (the lime corn and snickerdoodle are seriously delicious). Will definitely be back!!

Poor Service. My husband and I were out hiking all day and arrived at Los Bagels at 2:15pm... They close at 3pm. We are eating our bagels at the front tables outside around 2:35pm and an employee starts picking up chairs around us. I usually don't leave bad reviews but this was just RUDE. He was scraping chairs along the concrete and bumped into me... All for gathering 6 chairs. Dude, I know it was getting close to closing but you could've waited 5 minutes to do that, ya know?! The bagels, what were left available were delicious at $1.50 a bagel.... However the real rub was paying $22 for two bagels. I got guacamole on top and my husband got hummus.... The whole thing kind of put me off. I even waited to write the review because I wanted to think on this but I feel that the owners and other customers should know too.

We did not stumble across this place by accident. A friend knew we were going up north and asked if it was not too far out of the way if we could pick up some of the mustard sauce this place is locally known for. Since it was about lunch time anyway we decided to eat here. Staff was friendly the food was amazing and the vibe was chill. They also carried my new favorite caned drink Armless Palmer and Reed’s “strongest” which I had never seen before and very excited to try. Back to the food, they didn’t it hold back on the fixings of the Izzy’s Guac & Lox. I will definitely need to thank my friend for the stop.

Hands down the best bagelry I’ve ever been too! If you’re in town or passing by this is a must. Great bagels made fresh and with super fresh ingredients. My favorite is the Slug bagel with their famous slug slime everything topping. You can also buy their topping bottled to take home. This visit I had the slug with cream cheese, lox, capers, and red onion. It was soooo good! ❤️

This review is long overdue! My bf and I had spent the night in Arcata and decided to grab some breakfast before we left. Wow what a great decision that was. To begin, we walked in and not two mins later there was a line out the door-we missed the crowd. We chatted with the very nice people in line and looked at all the wonderful breads. As we were paying for our bagel sandwiches one of the staff members gives us the loaf of bread we were admiring! Already enjoying the atmosphere that seemed palpably aligned, we ate our food. The bread melted in our mouths, the bagels were delicious and crafted with good ingredients and their chai was the best I’ve ever had. We love this place and think about it often. Can’t wait to go back. Thanks Los Bagels for a wonderful memory.

Delicious bagel. There are plenty of options for bagel toppings. I had the thai bagel. I had not even considered carrots on a bagel before but it was actually really good. They also have really good Mexican hot chocolate that is nice and frothy. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. They also have little things such as napkins & hot sauce & stuff like that. The cashier is friendly.

Charming spot with a beautiful origin story. This place was on top of my list for my two day visit. Vegan/vegetarian friendly with great coffee, sweets, and canned drinks. Kicking myself for not buying some merch.

Good bagels, but $4.25 for a bagel with cream cheese... Little pricey. $6 for any protein (bacon, lox, etc). No indoor seating, all patio and parking lot tables. Nice when the sun is shining

Love this place! Fresh food, awesome area and super cool vibe ☮️ The street picture is no longer accurate of the layout. They have converted the left side parking lot into outdoor seating. This really makes for an inviting place to chill if you are not sitting in the equally as inviting inside. Grabbed an everything bagel with creme cheese. Everything was fresh, simple and spectacular! For sure check this place out during a morning grind session. You'll love everything about it especially the staff.

It hurts me to give 3 stars, because this used to be my go-to for mouth watering local bagels. You could not only buy them at the location, but small shops around the area. The bagels have felt hard/dense and even stale sometimes. Had I written this review several years ago, the rating would be higher. Even still, it is a bagel shop you want to check out, especially since it is the only one in the county ...

I hate to say this because everyone in this small town loves this place and maybe they don’t know what good bagels taste like. That said, my everything bagel was probably the best tasting bagel I ever had in my life. I’d give it 6 stars but the wait on Sunday morning was about a half hour long.

There's nothing like this place anywhere in the central valley. I'd make the 6 hr trip just to eat here. Such simple food but always hits the spot no matter what. Bagels always fresh. Everything always fresh. Might see a line but that's always a good sign of excellent food from great establishments.
