What a great local find for our Chicago family! The owner is from Chicago so if you happen to be craving a dog or beef, it's on the menu and you'll be covered.😊 Yuengling is on tap - not found in Chicago - so that was big bonus. Our family dined on blackened catfish, wedge salad, grilled zucchini, burgers, mac n' cheese, and pretzel bites; everyone really enjoyed! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and, even though it was more "bar style" than we were expecting, we appreciated that our kids (ages 10 & 8) could come and we all really enjoyed some great local music. If you are traveling thru Murfreesboro, be sure to make Hank's Honkey Tonk one of your mealtime stops!

Visited Hank’s Honky Tonk (former O'Possum's Pub) after seeing the ribbon cutting of their event space. Sat at the bar and the bartender got me a draft and the menu. Pretty much a bar food menu with a few “meal” items. The Happy Hour had the chicken bites appetizer $2 off so I gave them a shot with ranch and bourbon BBQ for dipping. I’ve gotta state these were excellent. The breading was light but had flavor and the chicken was extremely moist and tender. These were some of the best I’ve had in a long time. So much so, instead of ordering a sandwich I ordered a second helping. Food was great, beer cold, and service excellent. Wish it wasn’t clear across town or I would be a regular!

My wife and I have been here a few times with others and I've never had a terrible experience. Everything that I've eaten here has been absolutely delicious, and I love their pork rinds, however I do feel that their food, along with their mixed drinks are overpriced for what you get. My latest experience soured me from ever making it my first choice. I met some people for happy hour (3p-6p) one afternoon last week. I didn't want a high priced mixed drink and I saw that they were having $2.50 domestic drafts and bottles so I decided to order a Bold Rock Cider (both domestic and in a bottle). At 5:45 p.m., I ordered my third and final bottle of Bold Rock. When the check came, they had charged me $3.25 per bottle. When I asked them about it and even showed them their happy hour sign, they told me that Bold Rock wasn't considered part of that. Of course I explained that not only was it in a bottle, but it's manufactured in North Carolina. Furthermore, I showed them that they literally put the logo on their happy hour sign. I would have been fine if they would have fixed the price and said "our apologies but that shouldn't have been there," however they decided to stick to their guns. We also had to have them look up the exact time that our order of appetizers was placed because it too was on the list and they tried to charge us full price. Like I said, they have really good food and you can get almost anything you want to drink, but be prepared to pay out the nose for it. Definitely won't be my first choice and I'll probably not go back unless someone begs me to. Hopefully your experience will be different.

Hank's is a GREAT PLACE in an unexpected place. It's a local's bar/restaurant/entertainment spot in a strip mall anchored by a Kroger's Supermarket. The owners are onsite, the staff is super nice, the drinks are well-priced, the food is good, and there is live entertainment every night starting at 6 PM. Happy hour 3-6 has super cheap drinks. Folks are friendly. Nashville spot in Murfreesboro! Don't miss this hidden gem!

I just moved to the area and I’m so glad I found this place. Awesome live music every night and no cover, how do you beat that! In the words of Toby Keith I love this bar.

On holidays in Nashville - ended up at Hanks on a Friday night had a great time. Don't waste your time going to Broadway in Nashville Hanks is the place to go. Good food cold drinks the best people around. We will definitely go back next time we're in town. Neil and Lynn from 🇨🇦

We stopped in here last week after our pedicures next door. The food was excellent, service great, fantastic happy hour, we missed it but noted for future visits, and had great live entertainment. It was packed and a great time with no smoking inside, thankfully!! Only downside, it's too small for the acoustics and sometimes it's hard to understand the words during live performances. That won't stop us from returning though, and soon!

Two Hearted on tap and a tasty Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. Definitely nothing to complain about here.

Was ready for a hole in the wall dive bar. Pleasantly surprised to enter a very clean awesome atmosphere. We enjoyed a delish lunch with the kids and had excellent service from Drew. For families, its high tops only.

This place has great food and the service is pretty good. I have to knock off stars bc this place is SMALL!! There's never places to sit and there's not even standing room. They really need to find a better bigger space.

We love this place!!! We were there this past Saturday night and had a blast!!! It has a neighborhood bar feel mixed with downtown vibes. Great live music, wonderful staff, and we even made new friends. The staff was super friendly, we even got a chance to chat with the owners. We have been looking for a bar like this since me moved here from Chicago over 4 years ago and we've found our spot! We only had appetizers which were delicious but we can't wait to try more of the food from their menu. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!!! Thank you!!!

Awesome venue! This review is for Hanks Two Doors Down. Liz and Trent were stellar at the bar. Polite, friendly, efficient, and courteous! Very nice food/drink selection, event space, and atmosphere.

Really cool little place! Had no clue it was there until we stumbled on it. They have live music on the weekends and a nice chill vibe. Great variety of beers on tap and drink menu. Staff were all great! Excellent place to have some drinks with friends

I love this bar and have been going there for a few months now! the staff is great and the food is great! however, when my husband and i were in there for lunch saturday, we saw cockroaches everywhere! 2 crawled on the bar in front of us and you could see them on the wall behind the register. we had to take our food to go we were so disgusted! we love it there but we will not be going back until they get an exterminator!

Just heard about Hanks Honky Tonk last week, we couldn’t wait to try it. We are from central IN where breaded tenderloin sandwiches are king. We have not found one in the south after living here 35 years. Needless to say we were quite excited. Daisy was the bartender she greeted us immediately. She was very friendly and professional. We both ordered the breaded tenderloin sandwich with fries. It was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside. There was more food than I could eat. It means lunch tomorrow for me. My husband thought that MAYBE the grease needed a change. We will know on our next visit. We are very happy to know that Hanks will satisfy these 2 Hoosier “hankering”!

Great food and pretty good value! Was thoroughly surprised with this restaurant. Did not try any spirits, but I had the grilled chicken, Mac n cheese, and fries. Their fries are AWESOME!

Honky Tonk hamburger, tenderloin sandwich, and meatball/squash/tarragon soup. Grandson loved the hamburger. Left the fries, not because they weren't good, hamburger was good size! Tenderloin fantastic. Talk about huge! Def not a frozen product, made in-house. Soup combo was odd so they gave us a sample. I had ordered a hamburger and cancelled for a bowl of the soup. It was that good! We enjoyed our lunch and will return again.

Food and drinks were delicious. Kate was a great server and took wonderful care of our group. Music helped make the night enjoyable.

I went to Hank’s for the first time the other night. Intention was just to see live music with a friend, and grab a bite. But I was pleasantly surprised with my food!! The flat iron steak was likely the best steak I’ve had since moving to TN. Medium rare and great seasoning. You can get it blackened but I did not. The band was great, service was too (attentive), and I had a great time!

Food was great music was amazing and the waitress (redhead) was super happy and just the best felt like I was at home!

Wife and I go there at least twice a month, always have had great experiences with staff and other patrons. The live music has always been great, as it seems like everytime we go there is someone new playing/singing. It's like having a slice of Nashville down the road without the tourists and the food is great at a decent price. They have a good selection of beer and liquor. Would highly recommend trying it out!

Fabulous place to eat, drink, and listen to great music! Wonderful owners and great service every time. Highly reccomend!
