A stunningly great find and arguably the most under the radar great new Japanese place in Virginia. Top quality sushi and a surprise of creative new dishes. Plus an exceptional selection of sake. A great find and look forward to visiting again. Update: I noticed there were a small number of negative reviews which was very surprising, until I realized that they were virtually all for the previous restaurant that seems to have occupied the same location!

Surprising dining experience. Attentive service is enhanced with the state of art sushi and special rolls! Fresh ingredients are hands down the best. I cannot wait to be back with my family to show off what I have found!

We had a great meal celebrating my brother getting his first job. The fish was excellent quality that you might not expect in the area. Service was extremely attentive. The sashimi cuts are very generous, highly recommend. Must try!

We were hesitant to try this place out, but we were pleasantly surprised. The interior is modern and beautiful, the service was friendly and attentive, and wow the sushi blew our minds! My favorite sushi rolls are the Three Friend Roll and Rainbow Roll (great if you like raw fish). Highly recommend to anybody craving some delicious Asian food. This has quickly become a family-favorite; hands-down the best Chinese food/sushi around the area!

We were here for the Mari Sushi Grand Opening event, we bought the Extravaganza ticket ($39.19/person). We arrived at 7pm, NOBODY attended us, no water, no tea, no nothing. The ticket is supposed to be an all-you-can-eat experience, but we didn't have ANY food until 8:06pm, and it was just a plate of tuna roll. Now it is 8:42pm, we only had one more plate of salmon roll and that's it... Ok plot twist, the manager came just now and said they mixed up our order with another table, so at 10:51pm we still haven't received ANY of the sushi we have ordered :) We had 3 drink vouchers per person, but the bartender was so busy that he didn't even have time to take our orders. The bartender is a nice guy, but he frankly told us he's just a general manager and it was he's first time ever bartending -- poor guy I don't blame him. Overall, I could tell that all servers were trying their best and they looked busy af, however it was pure chaos in the restaurant. The management sucks here, if you're not ready to organize an event like this, don't do it. Otherwise your "grand opening" might as well become the beginning of your "grand finale". 🙌

Happy hour here was amazing. Sushi was good. Bartender Jeff is super nice and I suggest trying his own creations such as princess peach. Dragonfruit margarita is also a great choice.

Holds true to it's description! Good variety of Vietnamese and Asian cuisine, including pho varieties, and they also have an expansive sushi menu! Food came in a decent amount of time and wait service was fun and sweet! Music fit the mood and was not too loud. My crab fried rice had a decent amount of crab, just like our waiter said. Surprisingly, the crab was my least favorite part; the rice was delicious! The pho is delicious, too!

Incredible experience dining ! The omakase was an experience unlike anything I’ve ever done before and would do again without hesitation. Could not recommend more highly!

We love this spot. Great music and ambiance but it’s really the sushi that owns it. Great portions, perfect temperature, solid cuts, and absolutely great selection. We wouldn’t mind Ramune on the menu so the kids can have as much fun as we do! And we can’t wait for the new cocktail menu so we can drag all our neighborhood friends here for a night out. If you live in Fox Mill Estates and are heading Glory Days way for a bar experience, skip it and walk to Mari. Every single time.

We’re searching up for Saigon 54 in Herndon and ended up to this sushi restaurant because the Saigon 54 was permanently closed. Some of the item listed in their menu wasn’t available so there’s nothing much to choose from that we like. Shaky beef taste good but the chicken teriyaki is just a so so in taste.

The food is absolutely wonderful and their management team is friendly and helpful. The sushi is out of this world.. so fresh and Beautiful!

I really enjoyed it! Great drinks, super friendly staff. Matt and Jeff were very pleasant and talkative while I sat at the bar and enjoyed a happy hour drink our two along with some nigiri. The fish was very fresh, good firm texture and quite tasty. I will definitely come here again and recommend it! Lastly, the idea of good quality Vietnamese along with Sushi is a hit in my mind. Great business model. I really enjoyed it!

The Director General decided she was in the mood for Asian cuisine. Saigon 54 was close so we stopped around 4 on a weekday. Outside seating was available but we opted for inside with a/c. No crowd. Immediately seated. Wait staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. We both chose Fried Rice 54. The food arrived promptly. It was attractively plated and was a LOT of food. The pleasant surprise was the amount of protein. 3 full size medium shrimp and large portions of beef and chicken. The last few fork falls were heavy with protein. The restraunt is modern minimalist. A large bar. TVs scattered about. But the quality and quantity of food is what sets Saigon 54 apart. Highly recommend.

So Usually I won't put a review but the manager or owner of this place doesn't know Customer Service and I am hoping he reads and understand how to do that. I ordered a meal the other day and when I got it. I did not think it was made that good so I went back to the store and asked them if they can make it again. Which the answer he gave was, it's the way it is and if I make it again it will taste the same. From his point of view I understood I told him my intention is not refund however if I am not satisfied there should be something done. however, I think the least he could have done is offer to make a different meal or , refund or credit. This is called customer service. If I am clearly telling him that the food seem stail to me , he did not do anything to keep me as a customer. I myself told him or did not push him for $$ back. However one little gesture, would have gone a long way. Which he failed to understand. I hope he improves. Now , it will be hard for me to go back even though I can understand it's one time experience.

So very courteous. My experience recently has been order, take out. LOVE the wonton soup w/fried noodles & egg rolls! Also the chicken w/veggies entre. Clean, cheerful environment. PRICES: Such bargains! THANK U!

I order takeout for delivery often. Super quick, large portions, and delicious. I literally have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Staff are friendly. They actually use dried orange peel in their orange chicken and the flavor is wonderful. Prices are fair. Great job!

Food quality is really high. Everything I had was very fresh. Price is very reasonable for quality of food. Service was great as well. Can’t believe have this kind of Japanese restaurant in Reston!

The place is a bit small but also not too busy even on the weekend so I think there's a good balance. The owner and waiter were very attentive. Even the sushi chef was nice enough to come by to say the white tuna I ordered was not available and offered fatty tuna at the same price. The sushi is quite fresh. You can taste how fresh the sashimi are. I like the fact that the miso soup was included in the sushi order! All the other sushi places are charging so much for miso soup! I also like the overall dimmed lighting with brighter spotlights on the food. That's very clever way to show case your food. Two things that will prevent me from coming back though. One: even though the fish is super fresh, the sushi rice taste was quite off. The rice is key. I can't say I like the rice here. It's not cooked right. It could be better. Two: the sushi portions are quite off. One order had like 5 small pieces and two other in the same section of the menu had 8. They had similar prices. That was odd.

I have only had lunch there yet . The food is absolutely delicious, I loved it. The service is great, except for a few minor details. What I do not like, and almost deducted a star for, is the fact that there are 5 huge TV screens on the walls - 3 above the bar area and 2 more on the wall across. Unless I stare down at my plate I cannot really avoid to notice the flickering of the screens. Please, to eat a delicious meal in otherwise nice surroundings, the TVs are a disturbing feature, at least the ones on the walls in the seating area. I watched the others guests (about 15) and none of them were paying attention to the screens, so it didn't seem that their clientele is very much interested, at least not at lunch time. Loudspeakers provided a lot of loud noise (some would call it music) and for my comfort some background music with less volume would enhance my dining experience. The second time I ate there, the staff turned it down, much to my pleasure.

First time here tonight and I was pleasantly pleased with my entire experience 🥰 my dad and I started off with the Tofu Appetizer (so light, fluffy, and crispy) and then we shared the Tiger Roll and the Rainbow Roll and they were really really good. The quality of the food is top knotch, the prep and presentation was on point, service was quick and prompt.. my dad even said that the miso soup there is the best he's had in a long time! Just wanted to put a plug in for Mari Sushi Bar & Lounge in Fox Mill Shopping Center. My husband and I went there for our anniversary celebration last night. We had been wanting to check it out. I’m glad we did. We went there at 5 PM and it was pretty empty, but filled in a bit while we were there. There was a family there with young children. Young children are welcome. The place is very clean and comfortable, and the service is very efficient and friendly. The food was well priced and tasted excellent. They have a full bar if you’re interested in having drinks. We do like sushi and they have a lot of specialty rolls. They also have things like chicken teriyaki and noodle dishes. The decor is chic and I look forward to going back.

I recently dined at the Mari Sushi Bar and Lounge, and it was a truly remarkable experience. The server was incredibly nice, and the fish they served was of excellent quality. The sushi pieces were generously cut, offering a delightful taste at a reasonable price. I must mention their chef specialty rolls, particularly the Mari Mari roll and the White Russian roll, which were absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience with outstanding service and mouthwatering sushi. Highly recommended!

Friend and I ordered the pho because I had never tried it before - wow, what an experience, the broth was hot and sublime, the noodles and beef tasty. I really enjoyed it, and I'll get it again. Also had some signature cocktails and both very good. Wait staff all very amiable and professional.

The pho noodle soups hit the spot on a cold day like nothing else. Also, every other dish I’ve tried has been a hit. I was a little hesitant to try new things Ive never had before but I’m so glad I did because I have found dishes that I not only like better than anything on a Chinese food menu but that are now favorites.. ie. shaky beef, Saigon night rice in clay pot, salt and pepper special, Vietnamese lotus root salad, bahn mi sandwich.. just to name the top few.. none of the dishes in their menu are made spicy either. If you can make it in for their happy hour enjoy $4 drafts / $5 glasses of wine and they offer $10 weekday lunch specials - can’t beat that deal.. I can spend more than $10 at Panda Express or Mcds for a far inferior meal.. Do yourself a favor and try something new- the staff are very helpful in guiding you through their menu.

New favorite restaurant! I love the inside atmosphere of beautiful lantern lights and a gorgeous image covering the entire back wall. A both classy and homey place to enjoy an authentic Vietnamese meal. The food is excellent- delicious and nutritious and very reasonable for the quality 🍜 Friendly and fun servers as well💜 P.S, They stay open after food is done and have a nice bar too. Don’t think twice, Go! 😜

We ordered delivery. The food was hot so that's great! My husband's shrimp fried rice was just okay but my spicy tuna maki roll was yummy. My Chicken Pad Thai was the worst pad thai I have ever eaten. It was mushy, not very tasty, and the "chicken" tasted like it could have been something else... it even lacked flavor in the meat itself and there wasn't much of it. I'm not sure we'll be ordering again.

Fast service for take-away lunch. They no longer have sushi special for lunch but they do have non-sushi lunch specials for $7.95. On regular menu, I love the Zen of Greens. So glad we have this local Asian food restaurant! Glad they survived COVID.

First time ordering and we will surely be regular customers. Pineapple shrimp hit the spot in the best way possible. Showed up for delivery within 1min of the requested time. Portion size vs price is fantastic. I can't recommend them highly enough.
