I relocated here and am staying in a cabin for a a few months and couldn’t be happier with Elk Creek Resort. The have onsite laundry, the views are spectacular and the staff (especially Kay, she’s the one I have spoken with the most) is top notch. I highly recommend this place.

When we arrived, the office sent a guide to our site. There was a motor home on our site that was not occupied and could not be moved. The office said that due to the blue grass festival, they would be booked all weekend, so we were stuck there. We could hardly open the door, so the next morning I went to the office and demanded a different site or move the motor home. We were giving a different site on the same row. And said again they were going to be full. We were there for ten days and never had anyone parked next to us. They are way overpriced, and they charge for events even after you pay to stay at the campground. Never again.

Ideal spot to stop and be within a hour drive of everything in Black Hills. Had a pool, didn’t use. Bathrooms were clean.

My family loved our time here. The cabin fit my family of 8 nicely. The cabin, bath house, and grounds were clean . There were a few bettles in our room that would pop up, but my kids just caught them and put them out. The surroundings were beautiful. My kids loved the pool even though it was a bit on the cold side. After reading reviews, I was nervous . But, we thoroughly enjoyed the place. The staff were friendly and helpful. The internet is not great. Just remember, this is camping, not a hotel.

Go to camp ground in the Black Hills. Just a good vibe all around. Nice friendly staff, beautiful scenery and friendly guests. Bonus: they must have upgraded the internet recently bc it was blazing fast for a camp ground!!! Video is of my son flying RC plane on the grounds: gives you an idea of the scenery.

Visited friends staying there they used elk creek as a base for Sturgis nice location

We loved this spot. We just needed one night and accommodations for an extra vehicle, they met our needs. Our dogs were welcome. They gave us a ride to the petrified forest so we wouldn't have to drop our trailer. Super friendly.

We stayed here in an RV. Quiet, out of the hustle and bustle but close to all the sights. Staff was super nice! Showers and restrooms were very clean. Will stay again

This place is an excellent place for a wedding or get-together. They run a top notch place. If you need a nice weekend off or your just traveling through please stop by and check this place out. It is one of the hidden treasures of the Black hills area. They have cabins for rent or you can bring your own recreational vehicle. They also have a pool!!!

This place is absolutely amazing! Especially with the petrified forest! The staff is wonderful! Especially the family that owns the place and Dusty ! She is the sweetest! Everyone makes you feel at home. They have a nice pool and gathering area . The horses are a special treat! !
