Excellent experience from check in to check out. All round great performance from staff ranging from front office, housekeeping, breakfast service. Well done team - given how busy the hotel is the standard is great. Perfect location and route to haram; not through the mall which is distracting and pretty busy. There will be small areas of improvement here and there but given the number of people and requests they have to deal with it’s fine.

The hotel location is one of the best. The view is breathtaking and with premier view to the Kaaba straight out of the bed. The rooms are clean, spacious and well maintained. Housekeeping staff are super friendly. Special thanks to The Manager Mr. Ramadan, Supervisor Mr. Mahmoud and Abdel Hafez for their great help and professionalism. They all had a big smile on their face and willing to help!

Hotel is expensive but customer service is not as friendly. Hard to maneuver through elevator. Rooms are clean and cleaning crew are nice. Also leaving hotel room for the airport is tough. Some of the cars not allowed to enter parking area. Shopping area right underneath the hotel. Breakfast is decent.

This hotel isn’t anywhere close to 5 star. The great thing is the location. Reception wait time is horrible as there are only few people working than counters available. We booked a room with three beds. Two adults and one 8 year old child. When we got to the room there were only two single beds. I called the receptionist and they said they will send up a crib. When I told them the child was 8 years old her just said “oh okay”. I thought we would be getting a new room enough for three beds. Instead they just squeezed another bed so there was no space left in the room. Great location but if you want the 5 star experience this hotel isn’t it. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Breakfast was quite abundant, but they need to pay better attention to the taste of the food, not just the quantities. I might consider staying in this hotel again.

The only reason I will give them 2 stars because the rooms were clean. Red flags began when arriving and reception took 20 checking our booking and taking payment in British pounds and we clearly told him we have extended our stay from 5 days to 6 days. They already took a days payment on card without any notice. Anyway he took payment which was less than the booking and ensured us it was correct for 6 days. A day before our checkout we get a call to come down to reception and pay the outstanding fee. He said we need to pay an extra day and when broke down the day payment they realised he booked us with the walk in rates which are in fact way cheaper than booking online. However they wanted the booking payment amount which should have been 65£ but took 95£. When asked why was this more they said as you paid in cash when checking in and the reception charged you commission. If you want this returned it will be deducted from the receptionist pay!! We let them keep the extra money but the whole thing left a sore taste and I didn't believe his excuse for charging more. We won't be staying here again.

The room service needs improvement in terms of how fast they provide things. Apart from this its a good hotel. It has a separate lift which is really helpful in rush hours. The Kaaba view rooms are great. The receptionist Ahmed Motwali was really nice to us which made our stay great. Overall, will recommend it.

Check in was fast and easy, thanks to Faisal. Room was amazing with an incredible Kaaba view. I had seen some negative reviews about the bathrooms but it was very good, just on the smaller side. The shower pressure was incredible. Everyone was helpful and spoke great English. 10/10

"The Anti-Smile Hotel" Nobody is smiling at this hotel. Customer service rates a 1 out of 10. I booked a triple room, but they provided me with only 2 beds. I called them several times, and they brought the third bed after 24 hours! LITERALLY after 24 hours ! I had to sleep on the ground. The staff at the reception treat you poorly, not everyone, but most of them. The restaurant employees are amazing. I hope the HR department can hire people like them for the reception. HR department, you need to train your employees on how to interact with customers.

Excellent place to stay and a very professional customer service. It is just a 2 minute walk from Haram. Staff is welcoming and flexible. I particularly remember a staff member Ahmed Khair who brought our baggage to the room. He was a very polite and helpful guy and shared useful information with us.

This hotel location is one of the best you can get. We had an amazing stay. The rooms are are clean, luxurious and well maintained. Staff are friendly, speak English and willing to assist. The breakfast is absolutely amazing with a really wide variety. Check-in took longer than it should, this was expected due to it being peak season.

Check in is horrible however post 2 hours things got sorted out and we were checked in like 3am in morning. It was painful and Staff is not very accommodating. However post checking in the hotel is good in terms of housekeeping, restaurant and their upkeep. If only the reception can improve things would have been far better. Everything was spot on! Had a great time praying next to the Kaaba within 10-15 minutes walking distance. We were given the Kaaba view rooms when picking rooms. The restaurant staff were extra helpful as me, my uncle, my grandma, my mum and aunties had experienced one of the best services where tea was given when ordered politely from the waiters. The staff are always there when needed and called upon and they have the solution to any problem.

Amazing customer service. House keeping was really thorough and kind. Bayan helped us checkout and check in as well as help throughout the stay. Would recommend and had a great stay! Reading through previous reviews about room service being slow or lacking, I had no such experience, called services twice and both times room service arrived within 5 minutes and were able to give what I needed. Only criticism is the location bit in terms of closeness but rather there being some sort of a rubbish dump or something of the sort at the bottom meaning there is a horrendous smell whenever exiting to go to the mosque or coming back in. Not sure what the hotel could do about that. Leaving it at a good note, the breakfast had a lot of variety the 5 days I stayed here couldn’t try it all. It was amazing.

Great hotel with easy access to the mosque & within a big shopping mall. Staff are great specially the one in the bellman Muhammad Sumon very friendly,kind and helpful. Front desk and concierge staff are good but not very informative. Room was clean, good condition furniture, good amenities overall but no coffee machine . Room was really quiet. The room service is available 24 hours with nice menu to order at anytime.

I knew that Haram hotels always heavy use but also if there are preventing maintenance it will be in good shape.. And you won't get the benefits of the nearest from Haram because you need to walk same like others second or third row..

Rooms were missing what we wanted and paid for. Staff was all over the place and never told us straight forward directions. We were always being told the wrong instructions. Reception was terrible service never gave us the same answer as what front desk told us through the phone. Stayed here for Hajj, the escalator are too busy, the rooms were fine tidy and clean but obviously due to Hajj season we had to share with member from our group so was packed. Everything was excellent. I gave the room 4stars only because of the size of the bed. We had 2 twin beds for larger people. My husband and I fit surprisingly, but I would have rather a full size bed. The room was very clean, and stocked with toiletries you may have forgotten. I definitely recommend Hotel Swissotel. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. All the food was fresh, filled with many varieties to choose.

Good place to stay for Umrah. Rooms are adequately sized. Staff are polite and helpful. Lifts are busy during Salah. Location is wonderful. All types of foods, restaurants and supermarkets are just a walking distance away. Priced a bit on the higher side. Parking is a big issue here. Plan ahead and clarify before booking.

I stayed here during a recent trip. The hotel is nice, close to Haram and you have access to multiple dining options in the food court. rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. However the concierge service is below par! We waited for an hour for someone to take our luggage downstairs at the time of checkout. Despite repeated assurances from the concierge desk nobody came and finally we had to take our luggage down ourselves. Hence i am giving it 3 stars!

Our stay in Mecca was a pleasure and very smooth and Swissotel was a big part of that. This is a nice hotel very close to the Kaaba. A short walk of 3 min leads you to the entrance of the grand mosque. The hotel is in a big mall which opens into the courtyard leading to the grand mosque. Elevators that are common to the mall and the hotel are busy. The hotel has its own elevators that take you down to the haram which are less busy. The food is good. Fresh fruit choice is limited to only apples and oranges sometimes watermelon. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Mohamed took good care of me as I worked on my laptop during breakfast. Thanks Mohamed! This is one of those third class 5 star hotels where the food gets over in a buffet if you are a little late to Start. You've to cut oranges, apple and other fruit yourself to eat it!!! There's no plain crossing in breakfast, the servers don't know that they've to put a knife, spoon and fork on table. There is only 1 and exactly 1 tissue paper on dining table and when you use it you've to look here and there. Rubbish place, over crowded, no concern for quality. Dining variety is ridiculous. Toilets are cramped such that when you're in the seat. You cannot close the door.

We were in 3327 and 3328 from 24 July to 28 July When we entered in hotel we were greeted by the amazing aroma like great fragrance like oud I loved that fragrance. Very beautiful and very clean. To sum it up. It was a great stay and we had a lovely time.

It's literally 1 minute walk, and you'll be in the Haram There was a well serviced prayer room in the same building (a good trick is to use the separate elevator to the left of the main entrance to go quickly upstairs to the common prayer room). The mall on the lower floor of the same building (a other trick for quicker access is to use an escalator instead of the main elevators as it takes forever during busy times, and it's always busy). The hotel is on P5. It took us a day and a half to know that a full marked and huge food court is just on level P3 & P4, which is one level down. This lovely hotel will be the destination in future trips to come. 😊

The hidden fees as parking and not available rooms moreover sticking to the check in time 4 pm !!! That’s is telling you how bad this service. Moreover the location entrance is one that’s look like a maze. The manger is responsible but the ladies receptionist are one that not should work in such area. I would never come to this hotel ever again. I missed important event and could see that my trip lost it value. Moreover they lost my luggage while I am checking out.

Excellent service and hospitality. We stayed in room 2927 with a partial Kaaba view and it exceeded our expectations. Housekeeping was excellent, always around, and always offering to assist. Special thanks to Ripon Chy and Jabed for their politeness, kindness and generosity.

Very convenient location. The service is at the highest level. The rooms have all the necessary amenities. There are no complaints. Many thanks to the hotel administration, they always lend a helping hand when needed. Especially thanks to Jamal and Shakeel, who serviced the rooms. They came at the right time , brought everything fresh and clean

Arrived 12/02/24, Check in took quite long which was annoying as we'd been travelling all night, need a better system in place. Hotel is clean and housekeeping are brilliant 5/5. Rooms are a little small as they put extra beds into a 2 person room. Hotel is very close to Haram with lots of food and shopping nearby. Breakfast was really good with a wide variety. Our experience here was really good until check out. We hired the wheelchairs for both my parents and had to pay a deposit of 200Sr. We gave them in at check out and was told to go to the reception for our money back, waited in the queue for almost an hour for the lady to tell me to go to the other desk, I refused as our taxi was coming at 2 and we only had a few minutes left. She spoke to her colleague who then took ages, it was all really frustrating, after going through another 2 people we finally got our money back after approx 1 and 1/2 hours. Luckily our taxi was late. Reception staff definitely need training in all areas especially customer service as they're the first and last people you meet and represent swissotel and they don't leave a good impression.
