This place is located in Mechapa, in the upper west coast of Nicaragua. The place is owned by an American couple and they sure know how to make you feel at home. The rooms are very cozy, perfect for a romantic get away.

Stacey and Mike are such amazing hosts. When I arrived, I was greeted by Stacey with a local juice and nice chat! The resort is soooo peaceful, miles of untouched Beach without running into anyone🙌 I went for a morning, afternoon, and evening swim! & omg the food🤤🤤 each meal is freshly caught fish, or anything you'd like really, just request it!! Stacey is one hell of a cook and a very hard worker. She loves to make you feel at home. She is so fun to talk to, and she has great stories! She gives great recommendations for your travels around the country as well. The staff are very kind and friendly, and will help you out with anything you need. They were able to get me fresh milk from the 5am milking, soooo delicious😋 I never travel to the same location, but I will definitely be coming back here. It is unlike any other place I've been. It is where you can find real peace and quiet.

We loved our stay at Redwood Beach! The place is beautiful and quiet, perfect to relax and enjoy stunning sunsets. For surfers there’s quality waves and you’ll have them all for yourself too! Stacey is an amazing host and takes great care of her guests, going over and beyond our expectations. Make sure to stick around for her delicious home cooked meals as well, the best we’ve had at any hotel in Nicaragua until now!

Great place to stay. Stacy and Mike are awesome hosts. The location is right in front of the beach on the edge of town so it's an easy walk to the nearby pulperías to get supplies. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Other than the one night there was a big party going on in the village it was peaceful and quiet all the time. I think those parties don't happen very often and honestly it wasn't even that loud we had no problem falling asleep. I would recommend to have a vehicle because you will be able to go to the volcano and the different beaches and other attractions in the area

What a great time with Mike and Stacey! From them teaching us pickleball on their own court to beach tours with Mike and topped off with an absolutely amazing dinner made by Stacey and staff i couldn’t Imagine a better spot to go when in this area. We will return for sure.

Just magical and perfect

my husband and i stayed at Redwood for 2 nights early december 2022. To say this was easily one of the most relaxing vacations is an understatement. Stacy, the owner, instantly becomes your best friend sharing amazing stories and making sure we are well fed. Ramon and Lupe were so nice and their service was top notch. Redwood is a place you come to relax, enjoy the breathtaking views and sunsets, swim in the surprisingly very warm water, surf (waves for all levels, perfect for beginners and depending on the swell perfect for the experienced who want no crowds) and eat local meals. The room was cozy and clean and all are beachfront cottages. The road to redwood was in perfect condition except for the last 5-10 km ( i recommend an suv or truck or going reaaaaallll slow) BUT i saw workers everyday working on the roads. WeAlso explored and went to Volcán Cosigüina , a definite must!!! definitely recommend and double definitely we’re going back next year.

Idyllic getaway a hidden gem well worth the trip. Where you will find rustic wooden cabana's sited a stone throw from the sea nestled amongst palm trees and landscaped gardens. Waking up to a stunning pristine beach and warm waters is paradise. Our cabana was comfortably furnished with luxurious towels, fridge, sky TV and air conditioning. The food was freshly prepared and sourced daily, the fish was superb. Fresh flowers on the table everyday show the care and attention to detail. The staff were super and the owner was a great host plus a valuable source of local information. We loved our stay and look forward to our next visit.
