This is a traditional Colombian restaurant. I went around 12:40 pm, it was crowded but there were available seating. I ordered bandeja paisa. Portions were large and food was delicious. I also ordered cola zero and they brought 300 ml large bottle. Unfortunately 10% tip is included. I don’t like restaurants charging tip automatically. I paid total 45000 COP which is around 12 USD. Unfortunately servers don’t know English. Service is 4 stars and food is 5 stars. I would give 4.5 stars if possible.

Very nice and spacious restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Was immediately seated upon arrival. Received our food within 10 minutes and it was all delicious. We did wait a while and had to ask for the check. Also if you sit closest to the street you will have people trying to sell you random things.

Great restaurant with delicious food and wonderful services. It was my first time had my lunch here in this restaurant. I heard this restaurant from my barber, and he was right. The food are absolutely delicious. A lot of people were at the restaurant but the service was not slow at all. After we sat down the waiter came right away and he was very friendly. Food was quickly served. And the taste was so tasty. I realized that this restaurant is more popular among local people. The price is VERY reasonable. Totally recommend it.

The Mondongo's restaurant offers a real feast! The food was absolutely delicious and portions were enormous. Fresh ingredients, great presentation. Express and nice service. Great value for money. Possibility to take away the rest of the meal if you overestimate your hunger. Highly recommended. 👌

Amazing place for traditional Colombian food. Fast and friendly service. The portions are huge, especially the traditional complete meals.

Beautiful and elegant restaurant in the middle of the party centre. Aside from the party scene, this place is still formal and classy. Their food is good, amazing, traditional colombian food. I went back twice. And I'd go back again for their mondongo. Their tripe soup was amazing. Their ajiaco too was amazing. Service is nice, kind and friendly. Professional and classy. I really enjoyed dining here. My first time to this city and I went back twice. I'd go back again but my time is up. Highly recommend. Tripe soup is amazing. The menu is small, but that is a good thing. They do what they do, and they do it good!!! Best restaurant on the block.

This food was extremely affordable but super packed with flavor. The mini empanadas were the best I've ever had in my entire life!!! The sweet plantain tostones were divine. The fresh juices were delicious. This spot is a must try!!! It was a low key treasure. Truly so glad I got to experience this place while in Medellin.

This place is amazing. You must not miss the food and the experience if you are in Medellin. Great fast service, tasty and very affordable food. It does get busy during lunch hours so you may have to wait a bit to get a table but the line also moves fast because they have a lot of tables. I loved the food so much that I went back the next day for lunch again. Highly recommended

Excellent place to share with the family, great price and exceptional service. The place is not 'that fancy' as many would expect but I found it to be just right. In the end, the food is what matters the most.

The place itself looks very basic and kind of bleh, but don’t let that stop you from dining here. The food is great and the servers are exceptional and extremely attentive. We have eaten here more than once and have not been disappointed. Appetizers, drinks, juices, entrees… everything we have tried here has been delicious. Try the empanaditas appetizer. If you’re a tourist I suggest you sit in the inside part of the restaurant as opposed to the side that’s closer to the outside/street.

We were a group of 4 so we had the chance to sample a variety of the menu. Everything was amazing! From the fresh juices, the frutas, and the ajiaco we were drooling as we indulged. The mango juice was a hit with our group. We also enjoyed the crunchy chicarron. Everything was full of flavor and we got to people watch on the calle as we enjoyed our brunch. The sauces that accompany the dishes are very complimentary. Even the local policia come here on their lunch breaks. A must try when in the area.

Amazing grilled beef tenderlions. If you like beef, then forget everything else and go for the tenderloin medallions. See the attached photos, they speak for themselves. Cooked medium and melts in your mouth. Great with the chimichurra sauce. This is a big restaurant and very spacious. You are right on the super busy street. So it's noisy and there's a lot of people walking on the sidewalks. My only complaint would be that the service is a little bit slow and the staff are not very friendly.

A very casual 'canteen-like' decor & atmosphere. Staff were friendly and service was very fast. Food was great. We would eat here again for sure! Recommended.

Their mushroom sauce is amazing! The food was nice. -1 mostly because I had a few other spots in the area that had subjectively even better food and ambience.

Food was okay. Needed salt and maybe it's because I'm an American but the waiter confused me and I ended up ordering two full meals because I wanted to add something to one meal. Ultimately the dollar goes far here so it really wasn't that expensive. I will give it a star because it was nice in the patio

Came in for lunch, had the Mofongo Junior which was exquisite, we also had the Pollo con champiñones and the Cañón a la plancha which was more than enough food. Their plates are big and delicious I particularly enjoyed the mondongo the most. They also have a menu for kids and area for them to play. I would recommend this place if you want to enjoy colombian food.

Great place for traditional Colombian food. I really enjoyed the chicken with mushroom sauce plate; the chicken is tender and the mushroom sauce is tasty. The portions are huge: each plate comes with arepas, bananas, a huge slice of avocado, and plenty of rice.

Good choice for authentic local meal. Service was friendly and prices are more fair than in other touristic restaurants. Plenty of seats available.

Excellent value for the price. Great service and nice selection on the menu. Would definitely go back. The steak was cooked perfectly.

Not very crowded for dinner on a Sunday, ordered the classic Mondongo soup served with Avocado, banana and Rice - will definitely fill you up and a great price. The tripe in the soup was a new experience for me and a bit chewy but very tasty! Service was great

Another place you have to visit in Medellin Colombia! Excellent food the soup is to die for! The fish is excellent! Fresh squeezed juice!! I never seen a place that gives you sliced green tomatoes with your fish ! Excellent customer service! A must visit!

The food was good and the prices were reasonable. It was a popular spot for sure and it was pretty busy when I went.

The food was delicious and a huge portion! You can get one plate and share unless you are starving or plan to eat once that day. The only reason I didn't give this place a 5 star is because they we having wifi connectivity issues and they wouldn't resolve it. Other that great Colombian food.

I came alone on a weekend and the maitre d let me skip the long line and I was promptly seated. The service was impeccable. Unfortunately, food did not match the service. I ordered a normal Colombian dish, the typical bandeja paisa. After a long wait, I received a very bland, dry, cold dish. I tasted everything but only finished the eggs, plantain, and avocado. The club Colombia Rosa beer was also very delicious. Overall, not impressed somewhat disappointed, especially considering the price tag.

Overpriced if to be short. Interior like in a cantina. Food is ok. Waiter was good. Served our food fast. Not really user-friendly menu. You need to click each item to see it's picture. Some pictures are absent. Overally not advising this place as something to visit

American in Medellin, for good mondongo and ajiaco, come here. Great service!

Extremely delicious! This place has become one of my favorite in the world. I learned about it in October 2020 when I first visited this wonderful city of Medellin. The plater of Mondongo is what I’m showcasing in this picture and it is packed with flavor. I’m picky about this specific cuisine since it must be prepared with extreme caution but Mondongo’s has proven again and again to be conscious about cleanliness and sanitation during these hard times of the pandemic. Their bio security measures should be an example to all restaurants in the world, receiving customers and sanitizing them before entering. Now back to the mondongo! This delicious plate is accompanied with white fluffy rice, tasty avocado, ahogao (a traditional mixture of tomato, garlic, and onion), pique (a blend of spicy pepper), cilantro, and lime. All these flavors truly make this dish magical and a must comfort food to eat while in Medellin.

Not a place for non meat eaters. This traditional place in such amazing location never disappoints. Must say the waiter was a little in a rush to take the order even before we looked at the menu and then very delayed to take extra request. We decided to leave it. He wasn't familiar with international card payments.

I came to this restaurant on a Friday night and got seated right away, the service was quick and friendly the food was even better. I highly recommend coming here if you are in a Medellin Colombia. It’s location is very good for partying afterwards.

Reminded me of IHOP in the US. Service was great. Amount of food was impressive, included lots of avocados. Chicken in mushroom sauce was great. I love mondongo but was not impressed with Colombian version. I'm used to only mondongo in a soup but this had small cuts of chicken and potatoes and not much flavor. The steak was dry and thin.

Always delicious. Whatever you eat here is absolutely first class typical food from Antioquia. Friendly staff, fantastic logistics. No matter where you are from, this is one of the most traditional restaurants in Medellin. I love "Mondongo" and highly recommend it.

Not my first choice in Medellin. Big menu so lots to choose from. The mondongo soup was better than other dishes.

This is a typical Colombian food. Recommended and beloved by locals. It is like La Casa de Toño in Mexico, but for Medellín. Overall, if you are looking for local food with a decent amount of flavor and a decent service, this is NOT the place for you. First, this place needs to improve the service. We had the menu taken away while reading it, the waiter brought side dishes with extra charge without even asking us. When the food came, it felt as he was throwing it to the table. Regarding the food, we ordered a Mondongo: a heavy soup-like dish with belly in it. It resembles Menudo, but not spiced and with much less flavor. I would give a 5/10. Ajiaco: It is a heavy soup with corn and chicken. It was flavorless. It resembles an hospital soup, but with lots of stuff on it. Bandeja: It was the most decent dish. Although the only thing that was good enough was the chicharrón. We are not recommending it and personally I wouldn't come back.

The mondongo was very delicious and tasty! It was big and you can tell that it was fresh. The staff were very attentive and professional. I would come back again because other restaurants has very bland mondongos. I highly recommend this place! Worth the money.

😠 We ordered a mixed ceviche and it was very acidic, you couldn't eat it, the presentation was terrible in a plastic cup. We paid 28,900 each and it was just onion, a small fish bite and 3 shrimp.
