Definitely one of the best restaurants in Laureles and Medellin. A new favourite for anything meat related. A lovely restaurant with an open roof and attentive staff who are very welcoming and friendly. Amazing juices and good cocktails. Most importantly, the steak and ribs were the best we have had in a long time and have to be some of the best in the city. If you want to stuff yourself with some prime ribs and juicy steaks, this is the place to be!

It could have been a five. The sangria, octopus and my Porterhouse were excellent. I ordered my steak rare and it arrived medium rare, it was fine. The steak was perfectly seasoned and the sides were to die for. Where this place dropped the ball was on my wife’s dish. My wife ordered her steak rare, it had been plated on a skillet. When the steak arrived it was well done. The steak was terribly hard, like a hockey puck. We informed the waiter and he shrugged it off and blamed it on us. This set me off, I was extremely upset and disappointed. The animal died in vain and it was disrespectfully cooked. Who knows how long it was left on the skillet in the kitchen until served. On top of that being blamed for it put a dent on my experience here. I will definitely give this place another chance and hope they don’t disappoint. Please don’t blame the customer for your serving mistakes.

Steak was good! The ribs were not as tender ad I would like them to be. They held to the bone quite a bit and were just ehhhh.

I’ve probably been here 15-20 times now. They never disappoint and consistency is key. Everything is good, I’ve tried so many different things and I have liked everything.

Nice place, very good food. A bit pricey. Dishes can take some time to be ready. Good service.

We have been to Barbaro probably 20 times, and we keep coming back even though the food quality seems to be going down and the prices have gone up. The service staff is always very friendly and helpful, but our last visit was a pretty dismal experience. My wife ordered the ribs; they had the membrane on and were served cold with some squirts of sauce. Edible but very far from nice ribs. The side salad was small and uninspired. I had a 140k t-bone ordered medium. The quality of the meat was very low; the tenderloin side was unedible. I had to cut 70% away and ask the kitchen to cook the raw part that was left. When it came back, it was medium but not tasty at all, and by then, I didn't have either wine or french fries(served cold and underdone) left, just a piece of low quality meat to chew on. We were offered free dessert that we declined and got a discount from the nice waitress but it of course didn't make up for the bad dining experience. The three stars are an overall grade; we had ribs and food that were both worth five stars and one star, it is gamble, and at these prices, it shouldn't be.

Great menu options and a quality product. Service and atmosphere were good as well. Easily the best ribs Ive had in a long time! Highly reccomend.

An amazing restaurant. They are specialist in pork dishes. The meat is amazing and the place is very relax and romantic at night. The music is very good too.

Upstairs dining with view of quiet street. The retractable roof was open due to nice weather. Very good food, and the desserts were amazing. Excellent espresso and cappuccino after dinner as well.

Just had an amazing lunch here. We came around 5pm, so there were just a few tables taken. We had really delicious steaks with potatoes. The desserts were truly great (especially carrot cake), and coffee also very good. The waiter was extremely nice and welcoming, he spoke English. The music was good to my taste. And the interior is pleasant. So, recommend it for sure!

Great calm scenery with background music and an open ceiling with nice decoration. Wonderful staff, Andres especially was very friendly and very helpful making sure everyone of our 6 man group got exactly what we ordered and at a fast pace. Though the atmosphere was perfect the Barbaro burger lacked some extra flavor and could possibly use some extra sauce or seasoning to make it perfect but nothing was underwhelming, the bread they use is incredibly soft and sweet which adds a lot but the rest could use some work. Would recommend to groups of family members or groups of friends who want a nice evening meaty meal.

Ordered the rib eye, medium rare, and it was delicious, but was missing that classic sear on the outside. Had a side order of fries (eh) and their house salad (yum!). Good food, good drinks, good service, no regrets.

One of the hidden gems in Laureles. Being from the South in the United States, it is hard to impress me with smoked meats, but they pulled it off. After two years here, I find myself saying it is good for here, but this place is good anywhere. Don’t expect to pay a menu del día prices, as you are getting high quality food.

Google food recommendations works well in some localities and not so much in others - I suppose depending on local taste buds. But this restaurant is universal. What we ordered was sheer perfection. The sauces on the ribs are unique and tangy. Best I have tasted for a long time.

Delicious food and good cocktails. We were a big group on Saturday evening and even if the restaurant was full, they arranged fast some tables - good service. The food was very good, as expected since is one of the best restaurants in Medellin. The cocktails and wines are very good. One recommendation though, some english menus (online and in offline) are a must considering that it attracts non Spanish speakers too.

Fantastic atmosphere with good service and amazing food! I had the carbon de solomito, cooked rare as steak should be cooked, the meat was tender and juicy with amazing flavor.

Great place fir meat-eaters. The waiters are kind, they speak english, and recommend you food based on your taste if you'd like. The meals are very well prepared and tasty.

Great place. Very good beef and ribs. Best I have had in Medellin for reasonable prices. Classic egg whites whiskey sour if you have them sub bourbon on piso sour. Highly Recommended

Love the location and great atmosphere. Service is on point as well. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a place in Medellin that knows who to properly prepare and cook a steak.
