Must visit in Medellin. Very beautiful peaceful green place with lake, ducks, turtles and fishes. An impressive diversity of green plants, flowers, trees, orchids, cactuses etc. Nice place to spend a day and relax from loud city, at the moment u get into, all around u change significantly. The garden is very big and everyone can choose their own favorite part. Also there is a bridge hidden in a forest, try to find it!) Additionally it has cafes, fast food spots, a good restaurant and of course a shop to buy plants.

Beautiful botanical garden full of life and inspiration. The wooden architectures inside were the reason I went, but I was blown away by how much there was. Not only was it free but I was also the one of the best thing I’ve visited in Colombia. Park opens everyday at 9am and closes at 3pm because of Covid. The entrance has a driveway, don’t confuse it with the one by the train. This part is a circular forest right in the middle of the city. There’s a butterfly park inside and many more animals. Inside this park you will find the most beautiful orchid plants and All kinds of other flowers and plant which I didn’t know about. If you’re a nature driven person, if you like being all around greens this would be perfect and amazing for you. I’m the complete opposite and I was blown away.

It is a nice place to spend your day at. I like the many trees that make it very natural and it is a smoking free zone

The botanical garden is an interesting place in Medellin. Its architecture is striking at first glance, it stands out that it was inspired by nature Nature and architecture combine to create interesting spaces and an incredible landscape. In this garden you can find a great variety of species of plants and flowers In my opinion, if you are in Medellin and enjoy being in contact with nature, in a quiet and green place. You should definitely visit it

Great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city! Free entrance, closed on Mondays (!unless there's a public holiday on Monday, in which case they stay open and close on Tuesday! Similar with other parks in Medellin, for example Arvi park...) very busy on the weekends, full of local families & picnics. If you are looking for a quiet, green space to chill & read a book, go during the week 😉

Botanical gardens are always the first place I check out when I get to a new city. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed by Medellin’s. It’s still nice to wander out and get some peace and quiet (and it’s free) but compared to other Botanical gardens it’s a little unkempt. The orchid garden was closed any there were very few other flowers. Also saw a stray cat hunting birds in the garden which isn’t cool. The turtles in the lagoon and worth seeing though!

The Medellín Botanical Garden is one of the best spots to go in Medellin, it offers a natural atmosphere where you can go for a jog, have a picnic or simply relax and enjoy nature. It's usually known as one of Medellin's lungs, because of the amount of trees and the clean air that you can breath there. Now the "Orquideorama" is an stunning piece of architecture which depicts the Colombian national flower, at this space you can relax and see a variety of flower, and if you're lucky you might find some free activities going on in there, like Yoga or aerobics classes.

Orquideorama was the main reason for travelling all the way to the Medellin Botanic Garden. Sadly it was hired for a wedding and closed for the public. Very disappointing.

The Botanic Garden is pretty big, and the orquides collection is beautiful! We can enjoy a nice walk and learn a lot about different plants or some animals in the region! Highly recommend it!!

It's nice but not incredible. The ticket is 22k COP. I liked more to see the iguanas 🦎 around there
