I would not come back to this hotel. I loved it because it was in a good location and it was clean and staff very friendly. They must have new management because everything is different. The beds were not made completely, there was no soup, the towels were very old and had stains, most of the outlets did not work, and the staff is rude. This hotel used to be our go to hotel when we traveled to Medellin. But the last couple of times you can see the quality of the hotel go down. This time the room we got put on was next to the elevator and you can hear everything the whole night and could not sleep. The next morning we asked if they could move us to an other room and they said they would. To leave our bags packed and when we came back they would move us. When we got back we checked with the lobby and they lady in the front was extremely rude. She said that the lady in the morning had forgot to move us and just brushed us off. She become rude and did nothing to help. Honestly there are a ton of new hotels in the area now that are in the same price range and better. Save your time and don’t come here !!

The rooms are pretty and reasonably comfortable. The pillows on the beds are terrible, but the staff was able to give me a different one so that was nice. The location of the hotel is great. Despite all that, I will never stay here again. I was unfortunate enough to have a room on the 5th floor — the 6th floor is used for event space. I stayed here for 4 nights, and every single night they had a large and extremely loud event lasting until very late. The event my final night lasted until after 2 am — not great with a 5 am wake up call the next day. The music was so loud I couldn’t hear my tv in my room. I’ve never had such a miserable stay before.

If you like a hotel with thin walls so you can hear everything then stay here. We were on the 5th floor and could here chairs upstairs in restaurant moving around most of the night, music from band playing and customers in the hallway like the doors were open. Staff not friendly

BEWARE!!! I WAS ROBBED BY THE HOTEL STAFF!!!! When I checked out, the woman behind the counter charged me $70 usd over few snacks from the snack bar. This is the second time happening. Word to the wise. Do not consume anything there within the rooms or they will charge a fortune. Its a SCAMMM! I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN!!!

The main reason you stay in a Hotel is to rest. After a long day visiting Medellin. You wish to get to your hotel room to get some rest. To our surprise we could not since they were doing heavy maintenace work in the building. Drilling, hamering and all kinds of construction noises would not allow us to have a resting time at the room. We contacted several times to the lobby and they told us the would take care of the noise. That they were aware and that they will find a solution 1 hour later, We have still not been able to get some sleep. I went to the lobby and the attendant told us we needed to wait for them to finish. I asked for a different room since I notice the noise was close to us. And they did not accommodate us. He told me there would be an extra charge if I wanted to switch rooms. Really disappointed for the level of customer service and poor planning.

The hotel is OK but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who’s single I had company over in the next day I had my friend come by and I had to pay $50 for them to be able to be in my room that is ridiculous once you pay for a room, you shouldn’t have to charge extra if you’re having one person at a time in your room it’s yours you paid for it so I deafly don’t recommend it if you’re single looking to have company over it’s not worth it at all there’s plenty of places that allow you to have company without paying extra You responded yes, safety is important so everyone should check in, but you did not talk about the additional charge that your hotel is looking to take a vantage of the guest who is staying to charge an extra for another visitor on a separate day or time

This place is great fun. Superb location near dozens of restaurants and clubs. It has 2 outdoor restaurants plus the breakfast service on the roof, all with excellent views of the city. The hotel is stylish and nicely maintained. The place has an energetic vibe at every hour. Recommended.

Tourist trap! Worst hotel I have stayed! I have travelled around the world, but I have never experienced such a thing. You pay for a 5 star hotel, and you get the service of a 2 star hotel. The Noise from the Hotel’s own private events is super loud, the staff is rude and does not care about visitors’ complaining, the breakfast is similar to a 2 star hotel. Stay away from this hotel

Great hotel for the price vs location. If you want to stay in a safe spot closely located to the action, this is the place to go. Stayed in the superior double room which had a great view of the city and mountains in the back. Room had most of the amenities you would need (AC, TV, Hairdryer, iron, mini fridge) and ample space. Only downside was the pool and spa were closed however they did inform me of this prior to the visit and I'd imagine this was reflected in the price too. The windows are also fairly thin so you will hear some of the busy Street activities if you're planning an early night. I've seen reviews of the staff being extremely rude but our experience was quite the opposite. Extremely helpful staff at the desk who allowed us to check in a few hours early and the cleaning team were also lovely and helpful.

I stayed for seven nights at this hotel right after surgery. I required medical assistance from nurses for five days. I expected the nurses to enter the hotel as long as I permitted them. Unfortunately, I was told to pay 200.000 per person for those extra visitors. It was a shocking moment as I had never had such an experience in other hotels. I had to leave my room in pain to go to the front desk to resolve the issue. They told me I would get an exception for this time while it's minimum service for guests to enjoy their stay while they need special attention. Later, I met Juan and Marco; they were very professional and helpful.

Noisy hotel. The doors are very thin, allowing all noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms to filter through as if your door was wide open. The hotel staff and maintenance would also constantly be having long conversations in the hallways, groups of 2-5, for the several days that I was there. A hotel like this should spend the money to have solid doors. Management also needs to tell the staff to stop congregating in the hallways for socializing. The rooms also need maintenance. The shower handle falls off; the sink faucet is entirely loose and moves around the counter; electrical plugs are loose and move around. Also, on checkout they claimed I "ate potatoes" from the minibar. They removed the charge when I told them I touched nothing of the minibar, but what an unnecessary hassle and apparently the staff is not taking proper account of the minibar before check-in. This should be a nice hotel, but so much is sloppy and lacking care.

Not what it used to be! Gone down hill a lot. Rooms have multiple issues, lights not working, no hot water.

Nice hotel with a contribution to the native culture of Colombia. Unfortunately it’s a two star hotel masquerading as a 4. Front desk staff just checked me in with no explanation of the hotel and services. I had to remind them of the courtesy that should be provided. Once in the room there was no hot water and the bathroom sink faucet was broke and leaking all over the floor. I asked the morning receptionist to please fix. To no avail I asked again of the afternoon staff and said if they cannot fix to please move me to another real 4 star hotel. Returned later that evening to no action. Asked that the hotel manager come see me in the morning upon arrival. I am at breakfast and still no manager. Now I’ve spent more time than I care in third world countries so I am not opposed to a cold shower and standing water on the floors. But just don’t charge me a $150 a night for the experience.

Great hotel, one of the best experiences I've had across countless hotels around the world. For starters My flight landed first thing in the morning on Mon 2nd May (6:30am) and usually with most hotels check in is at 3pm, the friendly hotel staff were able to give me an early check in by 10am! The room I was given had probably the best views of El Poblado and Medellin with a lovely hammock in the room and panoramic windows. I also loved the electronic blinds 👌 Hotel was right next to Park Lleras and Provenza which meant everything was at walking distance with plenty of security / police petrol so felt safe at all times. Room service was very quick to resolve any issues. The only downside there was that the gym and pool wasn't open due to refurb, but advance warning was given at time of booking and I was too bust to use such facilities.

My gosh you must stay here! We arrived like 2-3 hrs early and they had our room ready also when we were leaving our flight was later in the day and they gave us additional hours at no cost to stay in our room or store our luggage whichever we wanted. This hotel breakfast was so delicious- usually we skip breakfast at hotels but there was no way you wanted to skip these, everyday had different options and so very delicious! I will always stay here if I return! The location was very good, easy to walk around and get food and so on. Excellent rooms with the best view ever! All of the staff were soo nice and so helpful! Hotel Diez you are doing it right! Thank you!

The only thing I liked about this hotel was the location Spanish.. Solamente la location me gusto. I didn't like the fact that I booked three specific rooms with views of the city and was only given one room with that view. We also paid for breakfast, which was an absolute waste of money, the same food every day, and no variation - do not waste your money. The beds as well were uncomfortable -no firmness to them at all. Spanish...

Medellin minimum standard is 20 almost anywhere. This hotel provides 2-4 Mbps. You can always know how cheap a hotel is if they have this low bandwidth. Medellin has 100mbps services so you should expect good internet in this city. Remote workers are growing and hotels need more than a dial up connection. Please vote this review so it continues to stay on top so this hotel can wake up and fix this

The good: The beds are cozy. The views are beautiful. The restaurants sushi and breakfast restaurants on the first floor are DELISH. Staff is kind. In a good location if you want to be close to the party scene (Provenza/Lleras) The not so good: Can get pretty loud but this is a city after all...a hotel in the middle of times sq will probably get loud too. In other words, go for a mountain view if you're a light sleeper. The walls are thin. You can usually hear the people in the room adjacent to you if they are loud enough. On my most recent stay: The pool looked like it has been out of service for a while. The included breakfast style buffet isn't what it used to be. A few years ago, you were greeted with an array of delicious authentic Colombian dishes. Now the buffet consists of only a single handful of options.

Great service, ambiance and rooms. Each floor is decorated with an area from Colombia. It is very authentic and with a great view of the city. Jacuzzi area is excellent. Different breakfasts every day. Don't forget to ask for the taxi service, it could be cheaper than an uber.

I do not recommend the rooms on the fifth floor (H5), because the noise from the chairs in the restaurant on the upper floor will not allow you to sleep well. Good food, nice view.

I can't say enough about this place. My boyfriend and I spent 4 days here (after spending 2 days in a remote cabin in the forest of Guatape), and this place was just what we needed. We didnt go through the hotel (becasue we had no idea that it was a hotel); we went through AirBNB. This place is in PRIME LOCATION of El Poblado. Other than to do excursions, we had no need to leave El Poblado or take a taxi. The restuarants are all within walking distance (it would've taken us 3 weeks to try half the restuarants that were in walking distance) and they are all AMAZING! I am a super foodie, and I have never had so many amazing restuarants all within walking distance. The hotel has a spa (which we visited and it was nice), a sushi bar (we had drinks there), and a co working space. Internet was good for working from home (i worked one day while there; internet strong enough to hold zoom calls but not good resolution while camera on and sharing a screen). The plugs are strong enough to power my developer computer. And last but certainly not least, THE WATER IN THE SHOWER WAS HOT! Water pressure wasnt the best but trust me, if you stayed in south american countries, you will know that hot water is sometimes hard to come by. I recommend this place 100 times. Friendly and accommodating staff, since my Spanish skills are poor, and wonderful hotel. Felt safe with security and limited access to rooms. Breakfast was great and included. Make sure you reserve the hot tubs and ask for rooms with a view of the city.

I just went there this week. Amazing view from room 506. The breakfast buffet was great. The atmosphere at the hotel is great. The restaurant downstairs (sushi based) delicious. I will definitely comeback to this hotel. Toilet had a silent flush and the AC did not make any noises ❤️❤️❤️❤️

AVOID THIS GARBAGE. Choose Charlee hotel. Predatory policies. Any guest is an extra $200k pesos charge (even though you also pay for your room, you have 0 right to invite friend). Made a mistake when booking through third service and only put one guest (which In every other hotel in the world I’ve ever traveled to, Uruguay, Brazil, Europe, Canada, Asia, would just add the second guest to your reservation at check in). So instead of doing a swift accommodation and adding the second guest, I was harassed to pay the $200k pesos per day. Decided to book my wife a room at the Charlee across the street for similar prices and much better policies. Note to management: You need to change your policies and be more flexible.

BE AWARE. MAKE SURE YOU BOOK A ROOM FOR TWO.... THEY WON'T LET YOU BRING GUEST WHATSOEVER. EVEN WHEN YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY. YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD. AT HIGH SEASON IT WAS THE ONLY HOTEL WITH PLENTY ROOMS AVAILABLE, I WONDER WHY. Goerge from night shift thanks for killing my only night in medellin.

Breakfast and hotel facilities are great. Front desk staff are helpful. The two beds are not for adults, they are small and made of cheap materials that are shaky. The house keeping department lady knocked at the door even though a sign "do not disturb" is on. They kept knocking at your door until you get up and leave yhe room. Very rude house keeping services.

We stayed four nights and it was excellent. They had security box and n the room, the room was clean and spacious. Also, the front desk personnel was kind and willing to help us with different things. Don’t forget the buffet style breakfast, it was delicious! Great rate for the overall quality

It has no working internet. Other than that place is great. Area is also the best in the city. Lost one star because no internet can be a big deal.

Totally enjoyed the place. But know you're a number. Staff was great, but you are there job, not their joy.
