This was a solo 8 day vacation and did not know what to expect. The rooms exactly matched the photo and are a value for the money. Not a 5 star hotel, but not a 3 star and they are accurate on the 4 star rating. The service is REALLY top notch from check in, bellman, restaurant and even management. I am a Marriott platinum member and travel the world and this is well run indeed! I even rented a motorcycle here, asked to park it here, no extra charge and really little things like that are nice to get a garage space for free and even better with a smile on their face. The food in the morning is great and staff is actively trying to learn more English, but I speak decent Spanish so it was fine. Either way, expect terrific service!

Outstanding employees from the House Cleaning to the front desk to the restaurant servers. I was there 10 days and travel for business every week so I know what good service is. The room was cleaned impeccably each day I requested. The restaurant food is great! Breakfast bar or eggs to order. I enjoyed both. I got to learn the 4 waiters/waitresses. The white fish, chicken mushroom sandwich and the club sandwich were all delicious. The location is great! I walked to the mall daily to visit the Beer Stop, a nice little modern sports bar for cold beer or drink. Every Sunday they close off the street in front of the hotel in the morning to allow runners, walkers and dog walkers to exercise...great people watching. The only negative is the house cleaners begin work at 6:00 AM! I was woken my first two mornings, complained and they moved me away from the employee elevator. Another thing is they charge you for any guest you bring in to your room. Quite a fee and very surprising. They worked with me on that as well, but I will think twice despite the great service and food.

Nice hotel, just not a fan of location. Looks great on a map but not in reality. Great restaurant and staff was wonderful!

The rooftop hot tubs they say they have are actually 3rd floor bathtubs With bubbles that have to be reserved. The food was the only good thing about my stay. The photos of the rooms are not what I got. If you are making a reservation through Google they will only let you put 2 guests per room and then will charge you extra per person.

It is very close to the Santafe shopping mall like within 5 minutes walk. And our room has a lot of sun in the morning, which I feel really good. But the chair was a bit low for the office desk so that I felt a little uncomfortable.

This Hotel is amazing! The best service! Everyone is very welcoming and attentive. The whole vibe here is a relaxed feel. Your room gets sanitized daily. You can ask anything to the the person at the front and they are happy to help you. The location is perfect. Walking distance to the metro, shopping dining. The area is clean and free of debris. The room was cozy. I think the service here beats that of the Ritz Carlton. If you come to Colombia. This is the Hotel for you.

I paid for 2 people each night as i had many friends i wanted to see. They charged me an extra 150mil pesos for my guest on the 3rd night. It makes no sense. It’s not costing them any more money, so why should it cost me more? If I put three nights in a row but checked out and checked in each day then I could’ve had a different Gursky tonight, so why is it a problem for three days in a row? Ridiculous policy. This was my 2nd time staying 3 days there. Never again

The Portón Medellín is less than a 5 minute walk away from the Santa Fe Mall, which is massive. Upon first glance of the room, you can tell that the hotel is a quick fixer upper. The building is aged with a few modern upgrades. Nonetheless, it was a livable space. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good with various hot and cold options. Some foods were mislabeled - i.e. The waffles were labeled pancakes. - so be careful and ask questions before placing food on your plate, especially if you have dietary restrictions. Initially, I was turned off by the fact that my cousins (group of 5) and I asked for to be placed on the same floor, meaning at least 2 of us on the same floor, but the representative at the desk lied and said that all of the rooms were occupied, which left one of my cousins left alone on the top floor. Overall the service was decent and the staff were accommodating.

Very unpleasant stay! First the housekeeping, always knocking on door, the they had also another person who does the mini bar, on one occasion I was in the bed and they came into room, and was not invited..The lady Yull at front desk double charged me for my stay. After also telling her the day before to add charges of my my massage to room, she keeps asking for credit card. I had drinks in the bar for 2days 2for1 on promotion, then the 3rd day they tell its not on promotion, they made a mistake for 2days? The only good part of stay was the morning breakfast people, they were very nice and all knew there job well. Also my room was next to housekeeping door, and they talk in the morning as if no one is sleeping. The best part of my Stay is me leaving, I will not stay here again. Also they were doing renovations making alot of noise, and the rooms are very small, there are better options in the city.

They are very courteous and it's a newer hotel located across the street from the Santa Fe mall which is a very large shopping center. Parking is easy to access if you have a rental car . The only reason I docked a star is the beds are way too firm I could hardly sleep it was that bad .

Stayed there for 3 nights, the staff was really friendly and always willing to help. My compliments to the breakfast staff for their kindness each morning, even if I didn't speak Spanish. The hotel is located near several shopping malls and a 10 minute-walk from the metro. Will definitely come back.

Excellent service. The price invites less than desirables who think it's ok to have a conversion in the hallways at 3AM

Tldr: Noisy, water leaking from the ceiling, probable mold problem. I had reserved a junior suite. The first one they gave me was on the first floor towards the busy Avenida El Poblado. There was no double glass window so you could clearly hear the street noise. I was not allowed to change rooms on the first night since the hotel was booked full. On the second night, they gave me another room. This one was quieter, ok but not perfect, but further away from the street. However, after I used the bathtub, there was water dripping from the ceiling in the main room. I complained to the reception and they got it fixed. After the second night in the new room, I started to get a sore throat. As it happens, I am sensitive to mold. My guess is that the pipe had been leaking for some time and it had caused a mold problem in the room. The room had an earthly smell to it, which could have been due to mold. I just gave up, ate a loss of two nights, and went to stay at another hotel. I did not want to risk getting sicker. I don't consider this acceptable at all, especially considering that I paid more for a better room. There are many newer and better hotels nearby for about the same price so there is no need to even consider this one. E.g. Estellar Square, Hampton, and Cityexpress.

Exceptional the hotel was like a 5 star hotel. The food, the service, the staff and the location was amazing. For the price I'd recommend this place a million times. Thanks to the entire staff at Hotel Porton!!!

Terrible ! They have a clerk called Luis Blandon, he is so rude and he will make you feel out of place, people stay out of this raggedy hotel, there are better options.

One of the best hotels in Poblado. Staff are very helpful. Hospitality is great. Walking distance to Santa Fe Mall and Carulla supermarket. Plenty of free parking space for guests. Breakfast is decent and free. Amenities are good. Rooms are cleaned and disinfected daily. Awesome experience :)
