The Manager, Jarlin, bait & switched the hotel rate 6 hours after I had checked in. They added 500% increase in pet fees than what was emailed to me. When I told them I would check out the next day, they started harassing & threatening me. I sent an email to the Hotel asking about their pet policy 2 weeks before my stay. They responded that pets are allowed, but it's a 130.000 per stay & only service dogs over 8kg. All good. Show up to hotel, front desk is nice and checks me in no problems. I come back 2 hours later and the front desk asks for the service animal certification. No problem. I am then told it is now actually 130.000 per night (50%) upcharge for pets. The manager, Jarlin, dismissed the email they originally sent (and that I showed) and told me to check out if I didn't like it.

Horrible! I stayed there for a weekend and I understand it is a party neighborhood. But when you bring the party to a room for 3 nights in a row til 6 am and the hotel management rules don’t seem to care about other guests being disrupted or how many people you can actually fit in a room; it becomes an issue. I couldn’t sleep at night during our stay and that ruined everything. I don’t recommend el poblado if you need some sleep at night. It can be trashy also because of the Street Girls working at night and the ones who look to party non stop with the help of certain boosts. It is not what it used to be. Poblado lost Its status

The hotel is located in El Poblado , close to restaurants however about about a 20 minute walk to the metro. The room was nicely furnished, linens were nice and bed comfortable. There was minimal noise. We found that in order to get clean towels we had to leave a tip. Breakfast had a variety of foods however service was uneven, staff likes to ignore guests especially when they want more coffee.

This place is beautiful clean with large rooms we stayed in a suite clasico, the bellhop Juan Carlos was very friendly and explained everything when we got to the room. The reason I'm giving this place 5 stars is due to them going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. We have a 2 and 4 year old and to my surprise they had an extra bed and crib in the room for my babies, we usually have to sleep with the kids in the same bed, for once I'll sleep not hanging on to edge of bed. The hotel is also located in a great location. Come check it out you won't regret it.

Superb service! Large, comfortable rooms with full kitchen, including oven. Not just a mini fridge and kitchenette like most other hotels. Even though our room was close to the street, it was very quiet at night despite being so close to late night actives. Breakfast included was a huge plus and very good. Excellent location.

This is my favorite hotel in Medellin. I've been coming here since 2015. The breakfast is excellent, the balcony room is spacious and the water pressure is perfect.

The room was a bit outdated, the service was good (not great as in other Colombia Cities), the breakfast was great, but definitely will not stay again at this hotel. Overpriced, and the location is bad, we felt unsecure several times during our stay, even when we're eating inside the hotel different people asked for money insistently, try to sell something and walk by again and again. I recognized that the security of the hotel were trying to do their job, but wasn't enough, because he was doing other duties as well. We went to others hotels in others cities in Colombia and weren't felt as intimidating as nearby this hotel. At least for families is not recommended.

Rooms need to be cleaned better. Just minor things, nothing major. Staff is helpful and courteous. Location is good but near a loud night club. Breakfast is so so.

The location was terrific. About a 5 to 10-minute walk to bars, restaurants, and all the main attractions. The complimentary breakfast was decent. All of the staff were friendly and professional. The only bad thing was that the WIFI in both of the rooms was terrible. The network was not working most of the time, and we told the staff about it, so they gave us a hotspot, but that still didn't work.

Satisfied with the hotel - stayed 2 nights in Medellin. Nothing fancy though - fluorescent white bulbs in the room...! Clean. Location was convenient, quiet and far enough from the noise of nearby restaurants and bars. Front desk helpful. Breakfast very good. Lots of fruits. Very impressed with the barber saloon. Very good haircut and pedicure at a very low pricing. For lunch dinner check out Botanika Restaurant minutes away.

This is definitely not a four star hotel. service was ok and breakfast was not good. They call it a buffet but only let you eat one egg item. I don’t eat meat and there were not many options other egg. Staff was not very welcoming. Food was cold and not fresh. There was no ventilation in the room. The window directly facing the stairs case and it was cramped. Lot of loud music until 2am from the clubs and restaurants near by. It wasn’t even in prime location but still lot of noise. Spa/Massage service area did not have any AC and it wasn’t very hygienic either. It is not quiet because of the sauna right next to it and you can hear others talking. It was not pleasant and peaceful at all.

First and foremost, the staff is to be commended and we tipped generously at every opportunity. However, the administration charge extortionate prices for any special request. For example, charging 50% of a night's stay for a 3 hour late checkout! Additionally, guest seem to avoid the in house restaurant because the menu is boring and the food is only appetizing to those who haven't eaten in a week! Medellin is a lovely and welcoming city, Hotel Du Parc is not where you want to stay while there!

Service was good first day then progressively got worse... they tried to scam the group of us on random things upon check out... they charged me 40 pesos for a loonies size stain on a wash cloth that If I had time I know I could have got out the stain myself but I had to get going. They also tried to charge someone a room key for leaving it in the room... the individual said it's on the table ... they said no she pushed to go up there and she said u could see the key from the door way... that's some shady stuff... don't recommend

I did not feel the hotel management staff was very nice and due to that I would not go back and stay there. They tried and I aloud just because I wanted to get the hell out of there, they were charging me for things that were not consumed from the mini bar. It was so pedi I just wanted to get out of there and will not be back .

Concierge staff was amazing and spoke great English. I felt safe with the front gates and 24/7 security. Hot tub and sauna was nice and included. Great airport shuttle service with Andre!

Hotel gave us a room on the top floor (5th) just below the terrace where they host big events till mid night with loud music. We had to leave at 5AM to catch an early flight and could not get any sleep because of the loud music. When the hotel hosts big loud event like that they need to notify the guests on the top floor and make alternate arrangements if necessary. We talked to staff, but they did not even offer to move us to a lower floor. Other than this, we were reasonably satisfied - it is really more like a 3.5 star hotel by western standards.

The staff is really nice, rooms are exceptionally clean and pretty big, location is great, and the breakfast was nice. However, there weren’t many amenities - the gym wasn’t cleaned the entire 3 weeks we were there and they didn’t have wipes to clean equipment when I asked for them (and the equipment wasn’t any good). I didn’t enjoy the spa at all when I got a facial. The noise is pretty bad from the streets and in the hallway. The hallways / breakfast areas are not closed in, and there isn’t anything between the suite floor and the door to prevent mosquitoes getting in - my boyfriend and I got bites each night. The wifi was pretty bad and we had to work, but luckily you can connect via Ethernet. Overall, I’d recommend it for a few nights but not a long stay. We ended our time in Colombia at the (cheaper per night…) Hilton in Cartagena and I wish we had spent more time at that hotel than here, but such is life. :)

Beautiful old wood interior with an open dining area out front--French pastries and a passable French onion soup. The rooms and facilities were nicely kept and the staff was friendly. An interesting mix of tourist and locals as guests made for good conversations. Great neighborhood

Staff has gone out of their way on multiple occasions. Room was slightly dated but this was my only complaint. Location is awesome.

Excellent staff they went above and beyond definitely a place to stay when in the lleras park area rooms are great but I’ll recommend if you want a great city view you should reserve better rooms after the 3 or 4 or 5 floor breakfast Is not the greatest but it has good variety but will stay there again

This was a wonderful hotel and I fully enjoyed my stay. I had the Jacuzzi suite (601). The room was spacious and well decorated. The Jacuzzi was an excellent amenity. The breakfast was quite good as well. The best thing about my experience in the Hotel Du Parc were the staff. Everyone there was attentive and helpful. They made me feel special and welcomed. Upon my arrival, the owner/manger gave me a personal greeting, complete with an aguradiente toast. His presence and oversight was constant during my stay and he never hesitated to ask if I was comfortable. The front desk, wait staff and housekeeping were always professional, courteous and helpful. I can highly recommend this hotel and I know that I will return for my next visit to Medellin. Five stars!
