Was not greeted when I approached the front desk. A front desk agent slapped a kitchen employee’s butt in the middle of the front desk, in front of guests. Rooms are small and musty. Windows do not open. Would not stay here again unless I absolutely had to. Update: I canceled my one week reservation.

Pretty mediocre hotel. Rooms are very basic and small. Bed is comfortable. Breakfast is poor and the coffee was the worst I had in Columbia. The only reason for 4 stars is the incredible balcony with a fantastic view of the city on the 14th floor lobby.

First the pros: the staff are so kind and helpful. All of them: door men, front desk, housekeeping. They couldn't have improved any more so thank you to all of them. The room was clean and comfortable. Here are a few cons: the location is not very close to any metro stops. You're 20 minutes walk from either station so plan on using taxis if you desire to get around town. If you plan to use the metro, make sure you look at the map first. I did not and that is my fault. There is only 2 elevators in the building and a few times during our stay only 1 of them was working. The lobby is on the 14th floor so the elevators are very busy during the day. We spent a lot of time waiting for the elevators and staying on the 9th floor - it just isn't feasible to use the stairs every time you want to come in or leave. I wish there were more elevators or faster elevators. Lastly, there's no where to hang towels! There are two hooks in the whole bathroom. Nowhere to hang a hand towel and if you want to hang a toiletries bag or something then you need to cover it with your wet towel. Install 3-4 more bathroom hooks and I'd be happy! All in all - this is a good hotel for a good price with great staff. You won't be disappointment staying here if you take into account the few things I mentioned: look at a map before you come, maybe ask for a low floor if the elevator thing would annoy you and ask them to install some more towel hooks! Thank you to all the staff who helped.

Location and staff are amazing. No need to rent a car as hotel is located within walking distance to metro, three malls and restaurants. The views from the 15th floor terrace are beautiful. The staff was great! They would always greet us with a smile and ensured that our stay was comfortable. The breakfast is not your typical morning meal. A spread that will leave you full past lunch time. Make sure not to show up for breakfast in shorts and a tee. Hotel guest are dressed to get the day started.

Front desk staff do not maintain order in the check-in process. Others cut the line and the desk staff service them first. Took one hour to check in due to award reservation not appearing in their system and line cutting.

We use Hampton by Hilton a lot and this was by far the worst one. Rooms tiny, breakfast buffet was a disgrace and location was not the best as a good 10 minute walk from the nearest bars. Staff helped when they could and always very happy. But just didn't have any plan for anything. Surely you should know the rough amount of people having breakfasts as 90%of people would have slept the night in the hotel. The fact that it's busy shouldn't make a difference if you plan for it

Rooms are clean, nice, and well maintained. The food is good as well and it has a nice ambience for relaxation. However, 0 member appreciation, I felt like there would be no difference in signing in without my membership number. If only the service and check in experience would have been better :(

I had a wonderful stay here for four nights. Staff friendly, hotel clean, and quality service across the board. A special thank you to Mariela Julio who helped me find an item that I had left there by accident. She went above and beyond to ensure the item made it to me safely in another city.

Positives: The hotel was clean and modern. Beautiful top floor views, good breakfast, friendly staff Negatives: Even though the staff was friendly, they were not always helpful. Slow check-ins. Free water was only for the first night and had to pay for water bottles each additional night. ROOMS: clean but limited and worn towels - only 2, no coffee, poor construction (loose fixtures)

What a beautiful hotel the only confusing part was that the lobby was on the 14th floor. They have a jacuzzi on the roof top terrace. Breakfast was great and the staff were A1. I couldn't have had a better stay. Definitely will be booking all my Medellin stays at this hotel!

Great doorman experience but I had to check out early due to a horrible interaction with a front desk member. I am a Diamond member and no one ever even mentioned it or thanked me. Overall it's a very average experience from a hotel.

This place has the best and coolest and friendliness staff. The man who greeted us downstairs to the lobby entrance and the the rooms being so clean and the hallways having that Hampton touch to it made this stay great. We have stayed here 3x in the last 18 months. It is walking distance from good restaurants and shopping center Santa Fe Mall. Huge supermarket just half a block away. This location is in the middle of everything with very very low noise and traffic. Despite of its location Hilton chose a refectory spot. The average night stay here was about $60-75 usd per night. Seems like Hampton here in colombia has higher standards for customer service and friendliness.

I cannot whole-heartedly recommend this hotel. It is just okay. It is in a good location and convenient for a lot of places in the area. The room was very clean and the decor was cute. However, hotel lacks some basics like not having enough English-speaking staff and not allowing customers to charge items to their rooms. Also: Front office staff frequently are seen playing on their mobile phones. At breakfast the kitchen staff shut down lights to the buffet area while customers were still there "inside!" 😨 (Breakfast had just ended by one minute.) Elevator on a 15-story building frequently misoperates, taking you to different floors, making you wonder what else could go wrong. The door key system stopped working three times during a four-day stay, forcing me to take an unreliable elevator to get key card fixed. Housekeeping staff left a handwritten note asking for a positive review. (Not terrible but strange.) Male front desk staff member chatting on WhatsApp instead of alleviating the line at the desk. He directed me to the female bartender who seemed to be handling the restaurant all on her own. On the plus side, there is a wonderful view and you can walk just a few blocks to the wondrous SantaFe mall and to a well-stocked pharmacy around the corner. No pictures posted, enough pictures are on the web site but be warned, rooms are smaller than you might expect. 😮

Nice hotel in Medellin, friendly staff. Especially Karen (Front Office) was extremely friendly and helpful. Also Norberto, who check us in earlier. The room on the 11th floor was clean, nice view and comfortable. Breakfast was good and you have an amazing view from the rooftop on floor 15.

Wonderful. Service, food, activities were all great. My wife and I enjoyed our time here at the Hotel. Persons at the front desk provided professional and courteous service always with a smile. Honestly, no complaints here

Nice hotel. Good location. Clean rooms and beautiful view from the lobby. The staff where all very friendly and helpful. I wasn't the biggest fan of using the card for light because sometimes I almost forgot it in the room. Nice stay overall

Everyone was so friendly to us from the Sky Caps who greet you out front to the front desk clerks the waiters and kitchen staff, and even the maids and maintenance crew. Our stay here was simply marvelous.

Good location and breakfast. Low quality rooms with a bad smell. Practically no amenities, with a tiny tube of shampoo only. Wifi only lasts for a minute before disconnecting. Bathroom faucets etc are falling apart. No-one cleaned my room on the first night of the stay.

Overall, my friend and I had a great stay here, we stayed there a little over a week ago while we were in Medellin. Rooms were comfy, staff was helpful/attentive to us, and Jackson (the main chef in the kitchen) was awesome. I am vegan and the first day during breakfast, there were barely any options besides fruit and oats, which honestly I was ok with it, but when I asked Jackson if there were any vegan options besides that, he said no, but 10min later he came out with what he said was a vegan veggie lasagna from the previous night that he offered to me and I really appreciated that (and it was delicious). The next couple days afterward, he put up more options for breakfast that I could eat and would frequently check in to see that I was taken care of and enjoying the food (he even gave me a Colombia key chain as well before my friend and I left). So our stay was great, and especially for me Jackson had made it that much better.

Decent budget Hilton. Terrific views from the terrace. Most staff don’t seem to understand even basic English, having said that we had a fantastic welcome from a pretty fluent guy whose name sadly we didn’t catch.

Awesome staff, it’s in the middle of two malls that you can visit and eat. It’s a little bit small but the staff compensate in their great service.

  • 5/5 Ed S. 7 months ago on Google
The location is fantastic. It is centrally located with 2 great malls within minutes. The malls both have great dining options. The staff at the hotel is great. Always very friendly and eager to help. The breakfast could use some improvements though. I stayed 3 nights and it was the same 2 options every day, scrambled eggs or "mixed rice". That's not enough to take away from how great everyone is. The manager Juan and desk employee Manuela are two stand outs, but that doesn't take away from the exceptional service the rest of the staff provides. Consider offering digital key please.

Fantastic location and awesome views from the dining area and lobby. Breakfast buffet was awesome but I didn't like that there was employees wat hing everyone at the buffet tables as soon as I came in they were asking for full names room number and show your key. I get it I'm sure there is alot of people trying to pull a fast one by bringing guest to eat.

We had a family reunion in Medellin, and we all stayed at Hampton by Hilton, 7 rooms. The staff couldn’t have been more kind and polite. The service was awesome, anything we asked for we received with a smile! Breakfast was great, and we came back from touring all day to clean, comfortable rooms. Extremely happy with our stay!

Breakfast it’s ok but not wow. Service huge opportunity to get better. If you pay using Conferma app they don’t accept it and they even don’t try to use it. Gym tooooo small. My room was ok, air condition is good. The location is good because you have two malls near.

Great location and very clean room. Only a bad thing about this hotel is their small room. If you are solo or duo, it should be ok. The breakfast is very good.

  • 1/5 Kim S. 4 months ago on Google
Terrible breakfast - scrambled eggs look like a grey mass from last week, tomatoes slices are dry, countless problems with breakfast. Napkins are thinner than toilet paper. Room - cheapest furniture. No hot water. You cannot take a decent shower. Lobby - barely anyone speaks english. Do not book here - word Hilton is by mistake here in the name.

Great views from top floor rooms. Very clean with a good breakfast buffet. The WiFi was very fast. The staff was very helpful and attentive.

It's the only Hilton property I could find in Medellin. Their breakfast was better than most Hamptons in the U.S. But overall, the service and rooms were a disappointment. The staff had one or two good interactions. The rest were largely indifferent to our needs. I will likely not return to this particular hotel but I will return to the area. Poblado is a great location. There was a mall right across the street with a food court. There were restaurants within walking distance. There were a few casinos within walking distance. Traffic is dangerous so cross the street with care.

All in all the hotel was fine. Everything is up to par and standard but it’s a bit dated. The room that I stayed in the mini fridge was falling apart and the shower was clogging a bit which knock off some points. The location is convenient in of itself but it’s in a part of Poblado that is far from the Metro and the popular restaurants so you’ll have to cab or Uber to most places.

For $55, clean room, great staffs, perfect location, closed to Starbuck- Santa Fe mall, and other places. (There is a Casino across the street) Great view! Super weak shower, TV not working and the staffs didnt fix it!!! Horrible breakfast ! They reserve the cold coffee! Nothing good about the breakfast.

Amazing staff in a Great location. Walking distance to many clubs, bars and restaurants. Everyone here was so helpful and friendly despite the fact that I don't speak Spanish. The room is basic but has all the needed amenities. The food was great and the views from the rooftop patio is breathtaking. Genesis at the bar makes the best drinks! I can't wait for my next trip to Medellin to visit this place again.

I stayed there during the Thanksgiving long weekend for 4 nights. This hotel offers you everything , clean rooms, great room service, delicious food, lobby is situated on the 14 floor so you can have a great view, free breakfast with many options; last but least the wonderful people at the reception desk who are always willing to help you specially Sara, Karen and Norberto (5 stars for you guys).

This is the best Hampton I have ever stayed at. The breakfast is fantastic, far better than the breakfast at the Hampton version USA. The staff is very attentive and caring. I highly recommend staying here when in Medellin.

  • 4/5 Alex M. 1 year ago on Google
The staff at both check in and security really make this place great. The location is fantastic, short stroll to a few malls, shops and good restaurants. Super safe area. We found the shower was good, the beds and the bedsheets very comfortable. The downside is that the rooms are quite small and have zero amenities. You get a tiny bottle of water. No glasses in the room, no shower gel (just soap and tiny shampoo), no tissues, no glasses / cups in the bathroom. Only some instant coffee with tiny paper cups. Bottle opener, nah! The furnishing is very much ibis budget, very cheap and plastic. So it’s good for just sleeping for a few nights but we didn’t think it was particularly worth the money paid given the lack of basic room amenities.

At Hampton inn by Hilton Medellin, all the staff is fabulous. They are very welcoming, helpful, joyful, respectful, and most importantly great human beings. Since the moment my wife, baby, and I entered the hotel the customer service has been outstanding. Starting from the doorperson Jose who is such a gentleman, he always helps us with our bags, calling the elevator, and he is very friendly. At the front desk Veronica, Karen, David, Julian, and Liliana are amazing, they have been helping us with check-in problems, reservations, amenities, special requests, and honestly, I feel supported and extremely satisfied. The rest of the staff are amazing as well, housekeeping, breakfast staff, and the bartender Daniela are outstanding. I only found the rooms a little bit small, but that is not a problem at all. I chose this hotel to welcome our wedding guests, I think we made a great choice, and I recommend this hotel very much. Also, the location is perfect, very centric in El Poblado, so you can find Centro Comercial Santa Fe, y Oviedo five-seven minutes walking distance. Thank you.

The good. Great location. Very clean rooms, hotel in general. Good customer service. The not so good. Rooms and bathrooms a little small, all rooms are the same size. Lobby on the 14th floor is a little confusing and elevators are always packed.

The staff is great and the location is amazing. Across the street from Oviedo Mall and 10 minute walk to SantaFe Mall. Is also next to Farmatodo and Andrea Carne de Res which has a great nightlife and live music . Room was comfortable with a nice city view . Breakfast buffet has a nice variety including fresh fruits, Colombian fresh cheese and arepas. Delicious hot chocolate and coffee and great variety of breads and fillings .
